This is just insane! I already do the same (sort of) selling items on the world of warcraft video game. It's pretty much the same kind of concept! The only reason i play the game right now is so i can make gold. Makes me feel like a real businessman! Guess it's time to make it on the real world :)
That depends on where you live and what form of business you're operating as. Assuming you're US based, each business type has it's own tax rate, and your state likely does as well. If you're operating as a sole proprietor, for example, it would be the same as your regular federal and state income tax. You also need to register with your state, and the states Amazon stores your products in, for sales and use tax; this is so you can collect sales tax from your customers, otherwise this is another tax you'll end up paying out of your pocket. I'm not a tax expert by any means; but, it's usually a good practice to know your expected tax rates for federal and state, and set that % of your profit aside each month so you can cover the bill when the tax man comes calling. As to your 2nd question, I don't remember if Amazon gives you the option to receive physical checks, I've always received direct deposits from them.
I was looking into downloading jungle scout and its asking for a $197 one time fee, I don't mind paying but are there any other fees I should be aware of?

Maryan, you do a new listing. You can also use a few Free tools to get you started with amazon selling so you dont have to indulge so much into research.

You just kind of went through using Jungle Scout but you didn't exactly explain what kind of numbers you're looking for on JS. Some products were rated fours or sixes with high demand/ high competition etc. Other products also had the same criteria with 3's so it's hard to know exactly what's considered a good product. Also you said some products had high competition and wouldn't be good products but how did you determine that? What does the perfect product look like? What does the perfect listing look like in order to help you compete against people with a lot of reviews?
How do you manage to remit sales tax across all the various tax jurisdictions your Shopify sales are sourced from? With regards to FBA, is Amazon collecting and remitting the sales taxes or are the FBA operators required to do so?

Do you physically have your full stock say at your house and then you go to UPS and hand deliver each one to ship, or is it they pay you and they receive the product directly from whomever sells them to you? Since he's selling through Amazon, Amazon warehouses receive his shipments from the manufacturer and send his products directly to Amazon customers. No personal warehouses or trips to UPS required. It's a win-win for Amazon and the seller.

Am I looking at the dissection kit the wrong way by saying that all the other items on page 1 are making less than what I want to make meaning there isn't a lot of money involved in the market? I am currently doing product research and I thought the item needs to have good sales depth to be considered an acceptable market to enter so I would instantly disqualify the item.
