Next patch Aki might seriously be a problem. I do think the idea that AKI is "bad" is overblown. Agreed with Broski that she's more unexplored than anything. Not the best character by any means obviously but not as bad as people are making her out to be.
hypothesis: people think she's bad because they've probably only seen mid ladder players trying her out and not doing so well, and would rather stick with characters they're used to play with because they don't want to step out of their comfort zone. I do agree that there's room for a lot of plays, and I really enjoy to play her, despite still trying to learn combos. Hikaru is a beast fr, hope people figure out she's strong and won't limit themselves to shoving her in a shitty bottom rank of a tierlist
@@aiglinouAgreed. I feel like there are some good players who tried her hut didn't ACTUALLY try her if that makes any sense. Also she has one of thr STRONGEST tools in this game to her kit. Fireball drive rush. I don't think you can be "trash" in this game if you have that, especially when you can get a lot off that damage wise. She has one of the highest damage inputs in this game from punishes. Good buttons out of DR, decent AA, amazing pressure when someone is in burnout. Her only obvious glaring flaw is the lack of reversal. She can suffer at times from that. I think she legitimately can be on the lower side of A (like the very lowest) at least. And for anyone saying that she can't be there due to her flaws, then say that about Marisa and Rashid. Rashid horrible jabs and mid AA but has strong tools everywhere else. Marisa has no reversal and has to hold everything. Her damage carries
I don't think it was a poor combo choice - More like the heavy fuha didn't come out, so the combo dropped after the cr heavy kick - I think he wanted to do heavy fuha stock into lvl 1 for the dmg buff
@@OkairMcLaren Sure, it would have worked if he landed the SA3 but he could have just used SA1 and done a more optimal combo. Spending fuha stocks before doing your drive rushes just scales horribly.
@@ABAGGST just think of it as the more hits you do in a combo, the less damage each extra hit does than it normally would. After the first drive rush he spends all his fuha stocks to continue the combo and you can see each hit now does very little damage.

It was either once or twice, I can't recall but it wasn't more than that and Punk won a lot. Hikaru regardless is good, just needs to clean up on defense a bit. He has a pattern you can spot.

She's not bad but not that good either, still definitely needs some buffs but yeah not like she's zangief-tier or anything
As an aki main I can concur that its true but a nice lp jab extension would be very nice because her jabs have the range of a t rexs arms xd
