Tommy often gives us fans clues to which song he's gonna cover. But the clues are hard! For this song it was "a killer in disguise". The "obvious" answer was that if you roll Gary Moores video with autogenerated transcription, it will say "murder in disguise". So, "a killer in disguise". Easy peasy!
I did nail it. But not because I got the clue (I didn't). Tommy had revealed that this song was coming up and with a special surprise too. So we he announced he would have a secret guest on his cover I thought about 'Murder in the Skies'. But his surprise wasn't the secret guest but the secret guitar. So I got that wrong too! Sort of!
I think Tommy will do a lot of Gary Moore covers. You have a great advantage by knowing all the songs! My Gary Moore expertise is a fair bit more shallow...
I really like Majestica's "Above the Sky" but I recommend the official video, the audio in some of the live performances aren't that good. If you want to hear an AMAZING song from Gary Moore try "The Messiah Will Come Again" live at the Montreux Jazz Festival, I've been trying to get Tommy to do a cover but to no avail...only problem with that is we wouldn't get to hear Tommy sing as its just a guitar solo, but maybe he could make up some lyrics real quick! 😆 And then if you want to hear my absolute favorite Gary Moore cover of Tommy's try "Over the Hills and Far Away"!❤
Tommy goofed...its just Chris David. Chris fronts the band WizDoom. I think you've got plans for both bands coming up, I remember you sayin... Both guys are world-class talents and really nice people! Gary Moore was one of the guitarists in Thin Lizzy b4 his solo career. Favorite Majestica song is Father Time. It's funny but the vocal is *insane*!
@Anders-M I know he's right...but that's not how Chris is known as an artist... from his YT channel to his signature, he uses David. It would be frustrating for a new fan to be searching for him under the wrong name...
