Really appreciate the hard work put into this video, taught me exactly what I needed to know. Not sure why anyone would want to complain about the length of a tutorial video filled with timestamps, but each to their own :P Liked and subbed mate
Wow I was just looking for some kind fo basic tutorial and this is perfect! You are explaining and showing this very well! Thank you The automation in this game is kinda tricky and too bad they couldn't show these mechanics better in the game
how do you get smart grabbers? ive done a lot of runs and ive only ever seen one conveyor belt. ive also never seen a smart hob. that part is very confusing, how do i get these blueprints?
You need to use a research desk and a blueprint cabinet to upgrade basic blueprints. Grabbers upgrade from conveyors. Safety hobs upgrade from regular hobs. Etc. There is also a chance that upgraded blueprints will drop each day and on rerolls. But most come from upgrading.
I'm really trying to figure this game out and your tutorials are amazing! I hardly ever get offered grabbers and I've franchised several times and maybe get one grabber offered in there the entire time?
Glad you enjoy the videos! As for grabbers, it’s rare to get one as a BP at the end of the day. Typically you get a conveyour that you need to upgrade to a grabber.
There should be a way to set smart grabbers to be essentially normal grabbers. when I upgrade it now it loses functionality, instead of just adding. I had a setup where I could put food on one table, and a normal grabber would send it down the line. that grabber also pulled dirty dishes down the line towards the smart grabber that grabs dirty plates. I cant use a smart grabber in the middle, and i'm penalized for having only smart grabbers even tho they are more expensive. Lemme know if you agree/disagree! :)
I understand your point completely. Typically regular grabbers are more useful than smart ones as they grab anything. Smart ones however are needed for certain automations, which is why they are there. My suggestion, once you get a grabber and are copying them, only have the copy desk touch that BP cabinet. That way you can keep copying them without the risk of getting a smart grabber.
@@TheOntarioGardener yeah that's pretty much what I do. I try to get a second blueprint desk, so if I NEED a smart grabber I can get one. Just feels odd that I would rather have normal grabbers than smart grabbers. I have similar qualms with the dishwasher, I wish it would just close itself, or that the soaking sink would upgrade into something better for automation, but that's more wishful thinking I think
A conveyor mixer upgrades from a regular mixer. But also, heated and rapid upgrade from a mixer. So, you’ll just need to keep upgrading them to try and get the conveyor one. Or, using an extra grabber will negate the need for a conveyor mixer.
Conveyor mixers upgrade from the regular mixer blue print. Mixer - conveyor mixer - heated mixer - rapid mixer There is an equal chance for a mixer blueprint to upgrade to one of the above.
Hey man I was wondering if you could tell me the mod for spawning in the blueprints cuz I want to be able to have a little fun with crazy automation without the stress once in a while
It's just my opinion, but when I'm looking for a guide to get to know these things, I look for something quickly explained and not 30 min. tutorial on basics. Only reason I'm saying this is that I think most players are looking into this type of content as well: bit of editing, fast and good explanation, and the shorter the video is with as much info as possible, the better.
I get what you mean, but you could also just skip ahead a bit when you understand what he meant. He was taking his time to make sure you thoroughly understood.
I usually watch these tutorials when I’m NOT playing, I.e. at work or away from home, so I really appreciate the detailed approach. I would suggest using the Wiki if you’re looking for quick answers.
At this time there is only a fail safe Save incase of a game crash. During your run “quit”, not abandon, and when you reload the game there will be a floppy disk icon in the main lobby to resume your game.
Bruh I dont even know how you get to have so many conveyors. Im dead even before i get one 😂
Try to get a blueprint desk, then start planning little by little for the automation you want.

It IS an excellent tutorial but he repeats himself so much in his explanations. That's why.
Great video, exactly what me and my girlfriend needed to get through the first few days of overtime!
Glad it helped!

Yep did that.
The discord ping around 9:40 got me
This video tutorial about conveyor belts was very helpful thank you man I really appreciate it.

Best plateup youtuber!
Thank you so much!
wow this is so much useful to new player so much thank you
Just finished my first 15 day run. Is there an easier way to get conveyors besides rng? I only had 1 after 15 days
Using blue print desks. They give you a better chance, as well they cycle through various items that may also be of benefit.
Do you unlock the ability to upgrade to a conveyor mixer at a certain level or is it just luck. Haven’t been able to get one yet

How do I get a conveyor mixer? When I upgraded the rapid mixer, it turned into a heated mixer then I couldn't upgrade it anymore.
Conveyor mixers upgrade from the regular mixer blue print.
Mixer - conveyor mixer
- heated mixer
- rapid mixer
There is an equal chance for a mixer blueprint to upgrade to one of the above.

If you check the steam workshop page, it has a lot of mods there to use. Creative mode is the one you are asking about.
@@TheOntarioGardener I apologize I am dumb as a rock but I can't figure out how to get there (Steam Workshop)
