When I first got into guns I had no idea how to clean and disassemble my AR 15 and your video helped me a lot. These cleaning videos may not be as appealing to seasoned firearm owners, but very helpful for people who are learning and new to firearms. 👍
This was a great demonstration for a new gun owner. Only suggestion I have for improvement, is go a little slower when demonstrating how to reassemble the gun.
I have been cleaning firearms for years, but I still like to see how other people do it. I can always learn something that I did not know. Thanks a lot.
Literally just follow this tutorial step-by-step with my 380 ez shield and I am super excited because it was way easier then I thought it would be this was perfect. Thanks
"Well done good and faithful servant". I've watched many cleaning videos and this is now my "go-to" because you are so patient, thorough, and practical. I love my 380EZ and your clear instructions made cleaning equally EZ. I like how you allow "wobble room" for personal cleanliness, but don't cut corners on important do's and don'ts. THANK YOU. May God grease our tracks, so that even if we're going in the wrong direction we'll get there sooner so we can go in the right direction. :)
i dont give a damn what anyone says. ive owned firearms for years and i have and love this gun. Its hands down the most beginner friendly starter for anyone. I know .380 is expensive but i still wouldnt recommend anything else but this for a first time firearm owner.
This was a very good demonstration. It was my first time cleaning my new gun. I paused the demo and reran a few of the points. Good presentation. Thank you.
Thank you for showing this video. I purchased my first gun and this video was very helpful in showing me how to disassemble the gun and place everything in its rightful place. Again thanks and look forward in future videos
Thank you so much for creating this video. It was a huge help for me being a first time going owner. The process of cleaning my gun was so easy because of this video... so much appreciated.
This is my goto video to make sure I'm cleaning my gun right. A couple of the things you mention (using pick under part that grabs rim & checking to see if the gun is properly reassembled or working) are not in any other videos I've watched. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Appreciate the video Mike, just bought the wife this gun (minus the thumb safety) and it fits her perfect. Of course I'll be doing all the cleaning & maintenance but its nice for her to have this video as a reference. Thank you!
This was very helpful. I have trouble holding the rack back and at the same time pushing that little switch up and yes, I had to replay the reassembly several times! Yours was the best I found for walking through the steps and I appreciated your demo of cut up cloths for cleaning. Thanks so much.
I purchased a Shield EZ for my wife and she cannot re-install the slide (after field stripping) without grasping the Grip Module fully and pressing the Safety at the same time. In fact, if you look at the Owners Manual, they recommend using your Left Hand to hold the Grip Module, while, at the same time, pulling the Slide back with the Right Hand. I have fairly strong hands and I cannot re-installing the Slide with that technique. May the need to rename it: M&P NEZ (Not Easy).
Awesome how to video and i told my Aunt Debbie that works at a gun shop. That she needs to shoot and handle one of those S&W M&P 380 Shield EZ's, because she has a hard time racking the slide on most guns and this one is designed to be EZ.
If it rotates, oil it. If it slides, grease it. make sure your products are poly safe. pipe cleaners and Q - tips are great cleaning tools also. Good nylon bore brushes a must and can be used as jags too. Bore snakes are a quick and dirty cool tool. Nice to see you thinking about new shooter's, sometimes manuals are not well written or lack good photography.
Been cleaning weapons for over 3 decades, but I'll be the first to tell you, "I don't know everything!" Lol Also, your videos are great as "refreshers," if #1) I haven't cleaned in a while, and #2) If I've been cleaning different guns that may only have slight differences-- (i.e. my wife has the EZ 9mm & I have the PPS M2) Thanks for making them! 🖒😎
Thanks for making this video. I always shot my dads guns growing up and never thought about what it took to clean them. Went many years without using firearms and with crime going up I finally decided to get one that I could train with and one my wife could use if i was out of town. This taught me a lot! We're both hooked, she's already waning a glock 19 or 43x (haven't decided yet) and I'm in the market for a Sig 365 for CCW
Hey. Heading to the range tomorrow and needed a refresher. I have saved your video and have referred to it in the past. Much, much appreciated. I really like it. Interesting is that I do have the M&P shield nine, which field strips the exact same way. Thanks for your tutelage
Thank you for this tutorial. This is my first gun, and I've now been to the range twice and ready to clean. I also purchased the 9mm EZ - NEITHER gun came with that threading tool! So, I'll have to go over to amazon and try to find one.
Thank you for your video on how to disassemble, clean, and reassemble the M&P 380 EZ. It's my first gun and I was a little, ok a lot, lol, intimidated on doing all of that.
I use Lucas Bearing grease on the slide grooves and chassis wings that I apply with a hobby paint brush. ($0.99 a pack at Walmart) I use synthetic machine oil on internal moving parts (liquid bearings) I use Strike Hold CDLP and Sweets for copper removal.
It is hard to see it, until you do it. But when you squeeze the grip safety, the little safety blade tilts up. Which blocks the slide from moving all the way back. It takes a few times, to get the correct grip, when re-placing the slide. I love this little gun!
Thanks for your video. Very comprehensive. My wife also purchased a 380 EZ and it did not come with the cleaning rod. No problem, i have a complete gun cleaning kit.
thx so much for the tutorial., because is very educational and useful in order to teach my wife also with the maintenance of The MP Shield 380 EZ. great video
I just purchased mine, March 2020, it did not come with the cleaning rod. Not a big deal. Thank you for this tutorial. I have only put 8 rounds through mine but hope to more when I can find more ammo.
Que bueno que haya en calibre 380. Ojala algun dia llegue a México para poder adquirirla en la SEDENA. Se ve que es una excelente pieza. It's good that there are 380 caliber. Hopefully one day I'll arrive in Mexico to be able to acquire it at SEDENA. It is seen that it is an excellent piece.
Any additional lube needed on or around the hammer spring? Just curious...certainly don't want to over-lubricate if it's not needed. Great video btw! Please keep up the cleaning videos as they're more helpful than you know.
I'm just now trying to learn double tapping. I noticed immediately that my first shot was easy, the second tap missed. That's on the small forms. I hit the big ones fine but my grouping is poor. Oh well, I'll get it someday. I wanna try that CLP. A lot of people are using this stuff.
Hey thanks for this video. Just got this gun as my first ever pistol. How often should I clean it? After/before every time I shoot it? Also, kinda offtopic, where can I get another magazine for this gun?
Thank you! My first handgun. So dryfiring to release the hammer will not hurt the firing pin? I can't find any info on how to release the internal hammer for the EZ Shield.
When I first got into guns I had no idea how to clean and disassemble my AR 15 and your video helped me a lot. These cleaning videos may not be as appealing to seasoned firearm owners, but very helpful for people who are learning and new to firearms. 👍
Agree. I had to pause and rewind many times.
Thanks this is my first firearm and I was terrified to do this. You made it very easy now I know I can do this again
This was a great demonstration for a new gun owner. Only suggestion I have for improvement, is go a little slower when demonstrating how to reassemble the gun.
Agreed
Its a video just pause or replay it.
I have been cleaning firearms for years, but I still like to see how other people do it. I can always learn something that I did not know. Thanks a lot.

Great video; clear and concise. Also, always great content on this channel, no gun snobbery, no BS just useful information! I dig it!
Just purchased this gun and I am in love with it, so easy to rack and easy to strip down and clean. Thanks for the vid.
This was a very good demonstration. It was my first time cleaning my new gun. I paused the demo and reran a few of the points. Good presentation. Thank you.
This is my first gun and first time I cleaned it. Thank you so much for walking me through it step by step. It is so very appreciated.
Good job!
I love how simple your instructions are. Easy to follow and understand. Great job.
Oh man, the slow mo shots are the end are downright hypnotizing, I love it!
Sweet sidearm, just got one for my wife and my mom. Great video. Very thorough
The slo-mo at the end was a nice touch
Thank you for showing this video. I purchased my first gun and this video was very helpful in showing me how to disassemble the gun and place everything in its rightful place. Again thanks and look forward in future videos

As usual, you give excellent, clear, and concise instructions. I really appreciate that. I'm sharing this with a friend.
Appreciate the video Mike, just bought the wife this gun (minus the thumb safety) and it fits her perfect. Of course I'll be doing all the cleaning & maintenance but its nice for her to have this video as a reference. Thank you!
💥GREAT instructions for a geezer-ette newbie with this exact handgun. Thank you❣️
Me too, Pam

Thanks for the demo. My first time to have to clean a gun so your video was very informative.
Your video was 1000% more helpful than the instructions manual which leaves a lot of basic steps out. Thanks

🖒😎
Thank you for helping me out on this! This is MY first gun although I’ve been around them all my life, so first time I’ve ever cleaned it
Thanks for making this video. I always shot my dads guns growing up and never thought about what it took to clean them. Just bought my wife a little shield, I'm gonna teach her how go clean it. Great job on this field strip clean!
I love these breakdown videos. Very informative.

I just purchased mine, March 2020, it did not come with the cleaning rod. Not a big deal. Thank you for this tutorial. I have only put 8 rounds through mine but hope to more when I can find more ammo.
The grip safety is because it's hammer fired not striker fired. It does the something as the hinge trigger on the other M & P's
Hello, thank you for this awesome video. Very, very helpful and I will be using it to clean my firearm. Much appreciated
Excellent tutorial n content!! Thanxs have a safe n Happy 4th!!!
Thank you for this great video, it was fun cleaning mine

Its funny I own 3 s&w m&p ones a shield 45 and I know how to clean them but I still watch because he makes it interesting.
Thank you so much. I was able to follow you and you made it easier than it would have been otherwise. We need videos on things like this.

Great video thank you. This was very helpful
Ez i have the 9mm, a bit fast, some older folks and first timers nay not be able to follow, but over all, great video, thank you🤙
Any additional lube needed on or around the hammer spring? Just curious...certainly don't want to over-lubricate if it's not needed. Great video btw! Please keep up the cleaning videos as they're more helpful than you know.
cool video, thats pretty much my process as well! Love the channel BTW, subscribed!
Excellent video thank you
Good video, thanks. The only issue I have is the use of q-tips and paper towels. Too much risk of leaving cotton and paper fibers in the mechanisms.
Excellent how to video
Thank you! So helpful!

I’m here because I’m going to buy my first gun, and this is is the model I’m going with. How often should it be cleaned?
Nice video. Thanks
Thank you! I just bought this gun and I've never cleaned a gun before. I just did it and feel more confident with my gun!
Hey thanks for this video. Just got this gun as my first ever pistol.
How often should I clean it? After/before every time I shoot it?
Also, kinda offtopic, where can I get another magazine for this gun?
Is this the same process for a first time clean prior to shooting for the first time? Thanks for sharing!
Great video
thanks for sharing. great video!
Thanks for watching!
Awesome video! Thank you. This my first g7n and your video is straight to the point ☺️ How often do I need to clean my firearm? 🧐🤔
Very helpful...thank you!!!
You're welcome 👍🏽
Thanks Brother
I just purchased a M&P Sheild ez 9mm
Good firearm to start out with squid :)
Thank you!
Great demo for a novice like me!!
Thank you so much that was great 😊
You're welcome 👍🏽
Thank you
Thank you! My first handgun. So dryfiring to release the hammer will not hurt the firing pin? I can't find any info on how to release the internal hammer for the EZ Shield.
Exvellent video and presentation.
Thank you
Really enjoyed your video. Have you ever removed the firing pin block and taken it apart to clean the pin assembly? if so, do you have a video on it?
Thank you 🙏🏻
Yes this is my first gun, I just bought it today..
Great C.J.!
does anyone have a video on how to disassemble and reassemble the firing pin slide insert?
Is the spray you use and the “lube” you use the same oil/ cleaner solvent?
Great video, could you possibly do one on disassembling the slide to get to the firing pin?
maybe
I am really convinced you like this firearm a lot.
I do indeed
How about cleaning the firing pin? You have another video showing how to take out the pin and clean? Thank you
I'm a newbie who just got the A&W M&P 9mm Shield EZ. Can I use these instructions to clean my pistol?
