@@henrysmobilesharpening6347 Thank you so much Henry! I did leave you a voicemail just was needing advise on equipment. Maybe we can have a quick chat one day I sure want to be sure I order the right stuff and not items I dont need. Thanks again for all you do have a great weekend.
I hate sharpening scissors, lol. Great tip, sharpen on a 45°,very good sir, thanks a lot ! I sharpen a lot of woodcarving knives, gouges, etc. I know what I am doing with those. The scissors have always been a mystery to me though. Great video, would love to see more. Good luck with your business, might want to provide an email address in the info box below the video, so folks can get their scissors sharpened from someone who knows what they are doing. 👍👍

Thank you for sharing! Is the twice as sharp the only sharpener you use for shears? I’m getting into sharpening shears and see a lot of very expensive machines out there. Will this do all shears and scissors?
Dear Henry Your video is very nice, you explain a lot details and don't hide the shortcut to sharpen hair scissors. I'm from Brazil and I'm looking for information about sharpening. Congratulations
I sharpen knives but want to get into sharpening scissors for salons/barbershops. I heard those scissors are over $700 for a pair. Is there a class to take how to sharpen them with the twice as sharp?
Very educational. nice system ($$$) those aren't cheap. With common household scissors your'e not supposed to grind the flat side on scissors, just the bevel. Can you explain the difference with these salon shears please?
I'm trying to setup a small mobile sharpening business. I have a decent idea of what I want to start out but one thing I'm unsure of... What do you use to power all that stuff? I've been looking at inverters but I'm not sure what size I would need? 1000 watt? 2000? More? Thanks for any advice you have!
Great video Henry. I'm looking to start out and this is a very good video explaining the whole process. Would love to see some more when do get round to it. Do you see any advantage on using a flat hone machine? I like the look of the EZ-Vex but they are expensive. Were do you source your spare washers etc from? cheers
@@henrysmobilesharpening6347 Thanks for the reply! Can you tell me what wheels each is equipped with? I see the one you're using in the video has a diamond wheel. Do you use the factory wheel for any grinding? Are any of your grinders the upgrade version for haircutting scissors?
Hi Henry. Thank you so much for this detailed video. I am starting a sharpening business here in California with my wife, and would love the opportunity to pick your brain and maybe learn some more things that would help me be successful. Would this be something you could help me with? Thanks again for the video and I hope to hear from you soon!
Yes I'm going to make one on curved shears for dog groomers an upholstery scissors I sharpen just about everything including clipper blades so soon as I get the time I'm going to make a video on all those two
He charges way too low on his service. A sharpen of salon scissors should be the average of the cost of an man and woman's haircut. ie. a woman $40, a man $20. The scissor sharpening should be $30. I do a different kind of sharpening in the field using the SNG system of sharpening. My invention via the machine I invented.
Nice job Henry! I'm a mobile surgical instrument repair specialist and learning the craft ..great tips
