The 968 is my favorite Porsche. To me it is the Porsche that makes the most sense. It may not be fastest or most powerful but open the hood and at least you will recognize everything and the mechanical parts are accessible. Add a headunit to the dashboard and it becomes totally modern. 0-60 mph in six seconds is fine as is 30 mpg. The hood may be a bit long and backseat a bit tight but it is beautiful. Competed with the 300zx 2+2 of the mid 1990s
Great looking car - I have the same wheels on mine. For the airbag light, you just need a 3 ohm resistor to fool the ECU into thinking the airbag is there. Look on Clark's Garage, I think there's a how-to. I did it on my CS wheel install and works like a charm, no airbag light. For the cat-back, I recommend the BBE unit. It's not much louder than stock, but it's built well, looks good and is half the weight!
Thanks for sharing, i'm a huge fan of the 968, and hopefully one day will own one. I still remember the first day I saw a racing yellow club sport back in the 1990's, coolest looking car.
Hey ! I Own a 968 CS and was wondering where you bought the Turbo S rear spoiler ? I have done some research and these parts are quite expensive. Thank you and great job on your 968, it looks brand new !
Congrats on a beautiful example of the 968…. A much under appreciated model mostly due to the exchange rate of the time period had it cost wise comparable to cars of higher power and performance. Wonderful little cars and when the engine eventually goes out the LS family of GM engines swap in fairly easily and use the Porsche factory transaxle and rear end. Great car to just hold on to for life.
I had the same car. In black w/ LSD trans. Front spliter, turbo S spoiler, speedline 3 piece wheels . Air box mode , muffler catback and few little twicks on engine. The breathing in air box w/ kN filter is noticeable at high speeds with muffler. Nice car.
BEAUTIFUL car and really done senor. :) Glad you have it to enjoy, annnddd actually I just thought of a question, was really just wanting to leave a comment to encourage you as I'm like you, cars make life better. :) My question though is this...I'm a 350z guy, but am very likely buying a 1988 944 Turbo in black, manual, in the coming months as a friend is willing to sell it to me in pretty good shape for eight grand. I LOVE the front of the 968 now that I see again....I totally forgot that they're different from a 944 up front....do you happen to know if the 944 can be modded to look like a 968? And any input/advice on the 944 purchase? The ONLY thing wrong, and he's having it fixed right now or trying to, is the car will run perfectly, but fuel shuts off randomly so it stalls....a previous mechanic couldn't find the issue...any idea on what that could be? THANK YOU for any answers you can give, and enjoy that car...truly a stunner, and perfectly accented with that rear spoiler, drilled rotors and good looking rims...the only thing externally would be bigger calipers for me if possible, deep dish rims, and PORSCHE across the side but not in stock design, I'd do something uniquely tasteful with ONE accent of color as long as it didn't detract from the lines.
I appreciate it!! I recommend you source a 968. The 944 is cool but the 968 is better in every way! The 968 has a much more modern engine and no weird electronic issues. What ever you do I know you'll enjoy it! Thanks for the comment
Nice car, however you dont suit the look of the car...your get up is not stylish enough for the motor, sorry but just saying...also why you trying to turn it into a nissan skyline...?
I owned lots of cars, 968 is my favorite car that I have driven.

Truely is! Im hoping to make it more popular with this build and show people there is more then just the 911
