I grew up raising chickens and the rule about eggs is if they were washed (to get the chicken poop off them) they should be refrigerated. You can either wash the eggs or vaccinate the chickens to stop salmonella spreading. Refrigeration also nearly doubles the shelf life of the eggs, but it cost more because it needs to be continuously refrigerated. Generally, how you buy them (refrigerated or not) is how you should store them.
I love every episode of In The Pan, but this one is definitely my favourite, based on how much you describe what you're doing next. I love the comedy always but i like hearing you say the ingredients too. You should try this, " Lettuce leaves, fried onion, red & green peppers sliced or diced. Melted chedder cheese, then a big or small burger of your choice, then again on the top, onions peppers, melted cheese, and then to finish, lettuce leaves on the top, instead of a bun or scone, as the meat should be chunky and filling enough. Would be cool to see you both making a dessert. I know that might not be in the pan but! i'm sure with your comedy you'd improvise well!. Sending love and support as always to you both!! Keep doing what you do! Lots of love X
The reason the scone was crumbly is the gluten free flour, I have looked after two little girls one coeliac & the other gluten intolerant & have had lots of crumbly bakes for them as a result of the flour. So Dianne it really wasn't your fault. I really enjoy watching you both, you never fail to make me smile
A bit of trivia for you about the egg situation. So basically you can either keep them in the fridge or keep them on the side. It doesn’t really matter because the egg has a membrane that keeps bacteria out of it! However the fridge will keep them in date for longer. But either one is fine! (Sorry that I went all sciency 😂😂) love you and I hope this clears it up 🥰❤️
for a scone 150g self raising flour 50g butter make breadcrumbs out of the flour and butter then add 100g cheese in a separate jug put 150ml milk and add an egg to the milk then mix the egg and milk together. Gradually mix it into the dry ingredients then knead the dough on the bench on flour for 2 mins then shape it however you want put in oven for 20 mins for individuals and 30 for a large scone. x
The best thing about coming home after dancing is that I can laugh hysterically and relax by watching Di@5 and in the pan 😂😂💓💓 Can’t wait for this !!❤️💜
Dianne putting metal in the microwave reminds of the time when my friend put a spoon in the microwave and almost killed us. We were melting chocolate and we put the chocolate in the microwave when my friend asked where her spoon was and we both looked at the microwave and panicked 😂
I think in the UK we *can* leave our eggs out of the fridge, because we don't treat them before packaging the same way the US or other countries do. The US chemically treats & removes a protective layer from eggs while cleaning and packaging them, which means they're more vulnerable to bacteria etc. Keeping them in the fridge keeps them safer from the bacteria. In the UK, it keeps them safer too, but ours are already less susceptible to bacteria as it is.
Fresh eggs will last 10 days out of the fridge. Will keep up to 100 days in the fridge. You can always use the water floating test to check if an egg is old. Due to its porous nature, if the egg floats, it has absorbed air and therefore, is off.
Lol bless them💛. Next time they cook it they can take a toothpick and stick it into it and if it comes out dry it’s done, if it’s still sticky then put it back in the oven. If you wanna be sure it’s cooked all the way through.
Joe and Diane are a cute, adorable, funny and slightly insane couple ... that are quite charming and creative. So whether things end up in the end going right or a bit off. Making it even more funny, It is all very sweet and I love them anyway
Dianne: the bits that are cooked are good, try that bit...try that Dianne: That’s good isn’t it Joe: yeah really nice ( throws the rest of it back onto the plate 😂) 20:26
I made pizzas with scone bases when I was in high school. It's a slightly modified recipe but it saves time because you don't have to knead or let the dough prove. It was good. I reckon the burger could work with a bit of tweaking. :) Nice work.
When you make scones you don’t melt the butter because if you do it turns into a cake batter if you cut it up into small dice and rub it in that way it will work 100% if the time :) loving the show btw
Eggs don't need to be kept in the fridge. They are always best kept in their egg box otherwise they can absorb the flavours of other foods wafting around the fridge or kitchen. Even in the tropics eggs can last perfectly well unrefrigerated for a couple of months. Room temperature eggs generally cook better. And next time, Joe, do a mic test before beginning the shoot. Your mic was not on at first. Love you guys, and I am itching to come give you both a few lessons on food prep. Diane has a great attitude towards being adventurous in the kitchen. She will be a great home-cook soon!
In Norway we say "eggs live in the fridge, but can spend the night on the counter", so basically they're usually kept in the fridge but if you're going to boil them you can leave them out overnight
Jade Foley I googled this Eggs should not be stored on the refrigerator door, but in the main body of the refrigerator to ensure that they keep a consistent and cool temperature. Leftover raw egg whites and yolks should be put in airtight containers and stored in the refrigerator immediately.
@@elliescatliffekhihghu3737 that actually makes sense. I'll tell my mum to move them out of the door. My only thing is that in the shops they don't keep them in a fridge so.....

I love that so many people on RUclips are having massive dramas, and Joe and Dianne are just cooking. It’s so cute

How are you measuring weight of the flour in a beaker 💀. That’s for liquids no?
The Midwife Mumma that’s probably how it kept breaking😂😂
Yes she used a liquid measuring cup for dry ingredients, its one of my pet peeves. Then things don't bake well because the ratios are wrong.
It’s one of those measuring beakers that does liquids and dry ingredients. I use them all the time.
I use a measuring cup for all ingredients.
