If you watch Garza’s podcast he just very recently did an episode with Phil and Alex of Whitechapel and it’s interesting to hear him and Phil talk about this night haha they both were going through it. Buuuuut Whitechapel is going to be coming out with a super heavy back to the roots album for 2024 so be on the lookout for it! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Bro. I’ve been watching your videos since 2013, I came to rewatch this video and check out the comments and I had to double take at the channel name. Was not expecting to see you in this thread!!!!
the dream band: Vocals: highs of Mitch Lucker and lows of Phil Bozeman Guitars: Rings of Saturn guitars (including bass) Drums: Infant Annihilator drummer
yeah, after posting this comment i realized that rings of saturn took the place of everything, but by my own opinion i think that the lows were great. moral of the situation. rings of saturn r00lz maggotmouth10
Phil's fucking vocals. I didn't even know he could do highs.. Favourite vocalist. Favourite Suicide Silence song. New favourite video. I would of fucking loved to of gone to that gig
FSSjavi But he does highs quite frequently in Whitechapel. I'm also confused how he could be your favourite vocalist when you've never heard his vocals?
Not really.. At the moment, on my phone I only have there latest album and I'm quite sure there isn't any highs on there at all.. If so, then not enough to make any note of it.. He might of done higher stuff in there older albums. I've ben meaning to get round to re-listening to them but I've been trying to find other bands to listen to. I'll rephrase then, just for you.. He's one of my favourtite vocalists. He's my favourite vocalist in terms of personality.
I'll understand personality wise, but yeah you can't call someone your fav vocalist based on one album. He does highs pretty frequently so check out their other albums.
3MilŁ33 Glen Benton, maybe not the gross/djenty low sounds from 2:14 but he does some pretty sick lows and watch him live because in the studio he mixes highs and lows he's a beast!!
One Man w/ Five Mode monster 1. 00:19 Pure Scream (Mitch Lucker Record mode) 2. 00:30 Grunt (William Nergal/Behemoth) 3. 01:22 Heavy Grunt (Death Grunt/dying fetus) 4. 01:40 Growl (Randy blyte/lamb of god) 5. 02:08 Wet Pig Squeal (Pathology/hard technic) PHILL ITS NOT HUMAN !
You obviously don’t know terminology for vocals, and if you think the lows at :30 sound anything like nergal, you’re insane 🤣 1 is highs, 2 is lows, 3 is still lows getting into gutturals, 4 is a mid or a “fry” scream, and 5 is a guttural.
No stop trying to put words into my mouth and assuming shit that I never said at all ever. It's a simple question. If you don't like either band why would you watch a video with both of them in it? There is completely 100% no logic in that.
***** Curiosity. A member of this music scene died and I wanted to see what the memorial was like.. Regardless whether or not I liked it or not. It's just looking at it from an open minded perspective.. Kinda how most bands also get discovered and eventually liked by thousands and end up famous.
Haha I watched an interview with Phil Bozeman and he was talking about how the music just makes him slither around the stage like a snake or something, thats just him feeling the music!
J Rolla Not that easy either.. trust me, I've been doin screams/growls for about 2-3 years now. It does take time and practice, and you have to learn the techniques to get it so you don't fuck up your throat and vocal chords. Ryan Neal Just keep working at it and learn techniques to get vox down and you can learn to do so. It's not easy, I know, but it can be done with practice :3
Look up a buddy of mine, Chris Breetzi from VokillCovers and watch some of his techniques to help get you started as well as taking advice from other people so far as breathing techniques and basics go for getting yourself prepped for screams/growls/etc ^-^
Returned back to this golden moment of Deathcore history. Still blows me away with that guttural (2:07) and probably inspired many other vocalists to take up the technique more efficiently. Phil Bozeman, Deathcore’s dad teaching us the ancient art of the guttural. RIP Mitch Lucker.
After how many years this performance still never fucking fails to amaze me. Such power, control and showmanship from Phil. Truly a MONSTER of a vocalist
sorry dude but Randy stole the show plus Robb from MACHINE FUCKIN HEAD joined them on stage! Randy just demands so much more from the audiences than any other frontman that night! But Phil was a close second and I like the tune he did better than You Only Live Once!
Steven Havoc Randy DID demand more from the audience and maybe entertained more. But its doesnt change the fact that Phil's vocal preformance was FAR BETTER than Randy's or anybody else this night...
Getting goosebumps right here. Holy shit what a performance. It is rare that a band can exchange a vocalist and still keep up quality-wise. But this guy does mitch lucker justice.
They really did die out with their self titled, unfortunately. I miss the Somatic Defilement/Exile (even New Era of Corruption!) days, his range is incredible, if only he would utilize it with his current work..
Jakey Merrill I think Phil gives this song a whole new dimension when it comes to vocals, this was already my favorite suicide silence song but i think he enhanced it with all those lows. What a show, cant wait for the full thing to be out.
High as fuck ? nope, Mitch used to go high as fuck. But yeah Phil has definitely one of the clearest lows ever. Like I always say : Lucker was the High vocal beast and Bozeman the lows vocal beast :)
pacman69player Uhh, yeah, he went high as fuck. I was praising his range, not saying he goes the highest. I'll agree though Mitch could get insanely high.
His gutteral at 2:07 were so low the guitarist in the back prayed to god
omg you're right :D :D
Whenever I read this comment I laugh really hard hahahah
That's gutteral? Damn I didn't think I could do gutteral but apparently I can 🤣
Bravo, here, have a sticker.
LMFAOOOO
Coning back to this a decade later, it’s just a reminder of how great Phil is and how impactful this genre of music can be
Never gets old. I couldn’t even listen to the original for a bit, and I don’t even like whitechapel, but Phil is a fucking monster.

Was not expecting to see you in this thread!!!!

the dream band:
Vocals: highs of Mitch Lucker and lows of Phil Bozeman
Guitars: Rings of Saturn guitars (including bass)
Drums: Infant Annihilator drummer
Rings Of Saturns last album had all of those except the lows part
yeah, after posting this comment i realized that rings of saturn took the place of everything, but by my own opinion i think that the lows were great. moral of the situation. rings of saturn r00lz maggotmouth10
Ian is a better vocalist than Phil though.
Swagu-Senpai, Yo i totally agree
***** yeah i agree
2:05 Phil turning into a monster bruh

That Austin Dickey toilet bowl gutteral awesomeness.
I salute you fellow follower of the Dickey

+DrumsAndMetal Nope. I would do the same.
I do the same dude
I do the same man
Hell no. It's great
No sir... fuck no
Phil's fucking vocals.
I didn't even know he could do highs..
Favourite vocalist. Favourite Suicide Silence song. New favourite video.
I would of fucking loved to of gone to that gig
How can you call him your favourite vocalist if you didn't know he could sing high?
RIVER166110 easy by having him top 5 based solely on lows and after hearing his highs moving him up on the list.
I love how this guy was walking around the stage like Smeagol and delivering those lines. What a legend
How was walking around the stage like Sméagol exactly? He’s one of the best metal vocalist of all time
@@blaaaaaaah22 You dont know how Smeagol walks and moves?
Phil is a fucking beast
+joehorseman98 i 100% agree best cover on the album
This is the best his vocals have sounded in a while.
I'm not really a fan of ss, but this song, especially with Phil's vocals, kicks ass.
aye Genghis Khan
The entire Mitch Lucker tribute has GOT TO BE the most amazing Tribute I've ever seen! @,@
He had the shortest song in the concert and is one of the best there, what?
It's unanswered dude. He got the privilege of playing Suicide Silence's best song.
Sam Whitehead *He had the shortest song and is the shortest shouter, I see.
Some people said Big Chocolate's performance was better 😂😂😂😂
Phil topped every single performance there
The best*
No one does better lows than Bozeman
3MilŁ33 Glen Benton, maybe not the gross/djenty low sounds from 2:14 but he does some pretty sick lows and watch him live because in the studio he mixes highs and lows he's a beast!!

Phil Bozeman and Randy Blythe both KILLED it at this show!
Phil gets shit done, what a fucking beast
I love this comment, haha.
this is the man that should have replaced mitch...not fat ass no talent eddie who gives a fuck what his last name is........
waistedaway17 except whitechapel is still a thing and All Shall Perish isn't
R.S. Lozano Supposedly ASP is coming back. I hope so, back in the day ASP was the shit.
I'm not a fan of either band...But HOLY SHIT This guys throat is INSANE.
Why are you watching this then?
***** wooooaaaah so he cant? if he dont like either of the bands he has no rights wathing it?
No stop trying to put words into my mouth and assuming shit that I never said at all ever. It's a simple question. If you don't like either band why would you watch a video with both of them in it? There is completely 100% no logic in that.

- how low can you go?
- Phil: yes
1:08 phil is taken over by metal demons.
1:08 may have been metal demons, however 2:06 is metal gods lol
lol!
Paul Mills cringe
Just got touched by Mitch in that moment in certain part, you know ... :)
Haha I watched an interview with Phil Bozeman and he was talking about how the music just makes him slither around the stage like a snake or something, thats just him feeling the music!
1:09 I found the secret to Phil, he gets possessed every time he performs.
satan log in into his body
PHIL FUCKING BOOZEMAN!!!! Hellyeah! Greatest Deathcore vocalist In my opinion
noni mercer "Boozeman"
It's Bozeman,one "O"
2019 and those extreme lows still send chills.
2:05 the chills rolling through my entire body as Phil summons all of his minions to give him the power of deathcore
How does he do it
he's truly not human lol
I would fucking kill to be able to growl like that..
Not that hard dude. Just press your tongue up agains the roof of your mouth and exhale hard. Use your diaphragm.
J Rolla
Not that easy either.. trust me, I've been doin screams/growls for about 2-3 years now. It does take time and practice, and you have to learn the techniques to get it so you don't fuck up your throat and vocal chords.

Really? I've been winging it for the past 3 months and I can do this shit. Just be angry and use proper technique.
phil has GOT to do some guest vocals on the new album! it would be AMAZING!
Nice pfp
years later, I'm still enjoying this tribute.
Watching these tribute show videos still the the feels years later.
R.I.P. Mitch \m/

indeed, wish phil was the new vocalist! Eddies great but Phil''s best in business in my opinion
True that
I lold hard at this comment
HOLY FUCK!! He killed this song!
Mitch and Phil were good friends...that night, Phil let mitch come back to life, with a personal flair
I was reading this and i teared up
@@sheilavonbergen6606 Yes mate me too. 2023

One of the best RUclips videos of all time.
This helps me channel the excrutiating frustration I feel about life on a daily basis.
Thank you Phil for filling a huge hole in people's hearts. You're killing it.
at 2:16 phil's vocals are so fucking brutal
2:06... Damn!
I love Phil's gutturals!

I come back maybe every six months. It's too good.

vladi1Z What about Big Chocolate......
Danny Daylight Big Chocolate sucked. Running out of breath, not even saying the lyrics right. Bozeman, Terry, and Worsnop are the winners in my book.
Casey Jones At least least he tried :P
2:05 sends chills down ur spine
If there was ever a guest to fill in for Mitch, Phil is it. I liked this years ago and it popped back up. Still great.
Most gut wrenching rendition of this song ever. RIP Lucker.
2:05 Beast mode activated.....!!!!!!
+Ivan Novadhi !!!!
Ivan N. Beast mode alright,
I though the same, damn man, i'm impressed with that part!!
not much impressive about it most deathcore vocalists can do it
Demon mode
Phil is such a fucking beast.
For me, the only one that could replace him in the place of mitch would be Travis Ryan from Cattle Decap!
travis op
Travis Ryan's melodic highs would sound amazing doing this song.
Isaac Holloway Yeah, but i'm talking about his growls
***** My favorite album by my favorite band :))
so fucking true holy shit travis :0
He makes it look so easy and effortless. No strain and all showman.
Getting goosebumps right here. Holy shit what a performance.
It is rare that a band can exchange a vocalist and still keep up quality-wise. But this guy does mitch lucker justice.
Oh yeah, can't wait for this to come out.
i got goosebumps to the next level

Any one who can give justice to this amazing mitch vocal is him mr Phil... whole another level
One of top favorites from this show
Too fuckin' bad Bozeman almost never uses highs in Whitechapel anymore.
of course he using highs, but they sucks ass
Dexter Morgan
He seldom uses them and like you said, when he does, they pale in comparison to these.
why use highs when his lows make everyones balls cringe more?
Todd Wilson
For a bit of variety. You must be new to metal.
They really did die out with their self titled, unfortunately. I miss the Somatic Defilement/Exile (even New Era of Corruption!) days, his range is incredible, if only he would utilize it with his current work..
Phil does not dream of demons, the demons dream of him.
there will never be a better live performance from a vocalist than this.
I can not stop listening to this. Phil is a beast!
I wish phil would scream like this a little more in Whitechapel. It was really good.
He fucking does dude
He did it for mitch man.
2:06 gave me chills man! Beast
this is the best thing i’ve seen all day
one of the best stage performances I've seen
Phil is so fuckin awesomeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I like how his highs are kinda like black metal screams
+eric bastos ok
+Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat literally**

Not at all.
+eric bastos Phil Bo is the fucking best, after mitch of course
My heart nuts everytime i watch this
By far the best performance of the memorial show.
still funny hearing 'a paper dick a paper dick' on 1:02 xDD
+PolaWolfHD ...How does one mess up "I pray for the day" that badly?... XD wow
A paper dick that's chewing his life
+PolaWolfHD I pay for dick? :D Phil is a monster
Oh my god yes
HAHAHAH this is so good
Damn! I dont know Eminem was doing tribute for Mitch.
-_-
Noice
LOL
hahah
He does kind of resemble Eminem in the face. It's a joke, not a dick, so don't take it so hard
Probably my favorite live video
this is by far my favorite performance of this song.
Phil Bozeman kicks ass man
I would kill to have a studio version of this. Phil fucking destroyed it
2:06 ... ... ...
He is literally a hell spawn. Vocals 2 evil
Jakey Merrill I think Phil gives this song a whole new dimension when it comes to vocals, this was already my favorite suicide silence song but i think he enhanced it with all those lows. What a show, cant wait for the full thing to be out.
My brother pre-ordered the DVD as a gift to me. hahaha.
Out of everyone who went to this show they did so good if Mitch's spirit was there he would have appreciated it so much
Absolutely incredible
Holy shit this was amazing
Best performance at the whole Show .
I would agree but Randy Blyth did amazing
+Evoid and so did Danny Warsnop. This entire show was just amazing
There was no bad performance that night. I'm surprised Danny could even manage those vocals after he tore his chords.
Its so cool to see bands bonding with fans AS fans through music of our shared loved metal heros.
Phil Bozeman is a beast ! This sounds amazing ! No one does lows like him actually !
Honey, could you run the garbage disposal?
* 2:09 *
while phil is paying tribute just close your eyes imagine mitch stomping up there in the skies
epic vision!
How. Is. This. So. Good.

Phil´s unplugged now :(
I’ve never heard Phil sound this badass in all my years of listening
This is the single greatest display of vocals in the heavy music scene.
Holy fuck, those are the clearest lows (if that makes sense) I've ever heard and he can go high as fuck, that's sick.
I'll agree though Mitch could get insanely high.
pacman69player Correction, Vocalist from Bleed The Sky, 10x better than Mitch , R.I.P Mitch otherwise
pacman69player Nope, i really prefer Danny Worsnop's screams, su fu*king high... (listening to SS feat Danny Worsnop - The Price of Beauty)
Phil bozeman= best growls
For the first time ever, I shivered in my boots
He raises a good point.
Why do you waste your time, and why don't you open your eyes?
For all your prayers, they go unanswered.
1:52 i like this Phil vocal... So badassss
his highs are good too, wow.
I love this so much
Best live video I’ve ever seen
