I am day trading the micro S&P 500 so that I am not married to any one stock, thinking that it would make it easier to exit a losing trade. Wrong, what I found my self doing instead was staying in losing trades too long thinking it was about to turn around in just 2 more minuets and then another 2 minuets, so the fear of losing too much money, was making me lose too much money.
I recorded myself talking about it today. So many times i buy because i want the market to move up when it clearly shows bearish signals...or when i see a reversal signal and i stay with my position open thinking price is giving me false signals, i say to myself anything to convince me price wont reverse and will keep going up, like "this price action is wrong, no way this reversal pattern will play out." And ofc it does.
This is a very powerful video. I have been crushed by the SPY so many times because my bias on what the market will do. Thanks to your explanations in other videos about Ego this has not happen as often. Ego must be destroyed every day in order to be a “pure technical trader”. Thank you Oliver, this video tops them all.

In hindsight I think 2 myself how am I not making money. I'm doing VBS and my batting average is like 33%. I came 2 a realization that a VBS, Gift play, or a GBI are all basically the same thing in a sense. (Buying a pullback during a trend) In hindsight almost every play works. But in the moment I get destroyed. I'm Journaling my trades so hopefully I can figure out what the hell I'm doing wrong. 🙏 I'm clueless haha. I'm going 2 do momentum trades for a couple months. Maybe I'm more of a reversal trader? Who knows. Been trading for a year so far 🤦♂️
