      Just watched your Venom ProQUAD video. That looks fantastic, and better than the DUO. QUAD has two big fans on the rear, which are likely significantly quieter than the small loud fans on each side of the DUO. It is 2x the price, but 4 chargers in one would make it worth it for some heavy RC addicts. :)

      I was shopping around for videos for the quad and didn't see any, but stumbled across your video of the Duo and though, hey I know that guy! Had to stop by and check it out ;^)

    Does this have an overcharge protection feature if you just wanted to keep the battery stationed fully charged or to have a extra battery ready to go.

    Bought the charger, like it but only one set of wires for a dual charger. Great if you have two different batteries to charge a the same time. 😠

    The onboard audio is so annoying and gimmicky lol. If u want motor sounds buy a nitro lol this shows u how much traxxas is closer to toy grade then hobby/race grade. Sure u can replace parts but i could with my nikko golden arrow from radio shack in the 90s lol it was a toy

    Great Vid : Got mine couple days ago. The only thing I do not like is the balance leads ! They do not lock in to the charger ! Mine break connection from charger if batteries or charger are moved !! Then you must start all over !! BUMMER !! I will have to replace leads or connectors if I keep this charger . I like the size and features , but the balance leads are almost a deal breaker .

    The "sting" of the Venom is having to buy your own temperature sensor that is not included.......

    Bought the Venom PRO 2 two weeks before this charger came out... I was kinda mad that I didn't get this one.

    Do you notice it’s a slow ass charger ? I have dynamite quad 100x4 and it’s faster than this

    • @netcruzer
      @netcruzer  4 года назад +1

      I think this is 80x2? or 100x2.. either way your dynamite quad 100x4 which is likely exact same as my SkyRC Quattro Q200 or Hitec X4.. is really a 200w charger. 50x4 or 100x2 and adjustable between that.

    This looks like two thunder ac680 in a single box. Same balance breakout, same power plug, even down to the temp sensors.

    ON Storage charge have you used the discharge function ?? Will it really discharge at I amp ?? The DUO charger will only discharge at ( .03 amp ) !! Not 1 amp that is on the display !! Please let the truth be told . Thank You .

      Yeah it's good. It's a bit loud though when both fans are running. I didn't do any research before making this video, didn't know you already had an unboxing of this too!

    I watch this thinking you already knew how to use it.
    Not watch you figure it out as you go.... I could have done that.
    Thanks anyway.

      Yeah the ProQuad looks AMAZING. See RcSaylors video about that. If you have the $$$ it's likely the best charger you can buy right now.

    lipo batteries should always be balanced.

    • @scottfirman
      @scottfirman 6 лет назад

      Edwin Cordero No, not always. You can charge several times before worrying about balance. It takes longer to balance charge a battery because the charger brings down the other two cells to the low cell( discharge) then charges all three together. You might be better off balancing a cell on its own,especially if its several amps off. Use a seperate set up and tap into the one lead that charges only that one cell. Once you bring it up to the other two, you will be good. If that cell continues to drop and not stay charged, then you know you have a bad battery.
