Just to add: He’s not used to starting games regularly let alone as a lone-nine… this is defo a “project signing” IF it happens!
He did start second half of the season.
@JamesSt.Patrick-wj1xl Love the idea of Olise. But I don't think he will want to sit on the bench for Saka or Odegaard.
but we need a NOW kinda player
@JamesSt.Patrick-wj1xl Yo Ghost, Tommy is looking for you 😂
At that price?
Before Isaak was the Isaak we know now, he was a talented young La Liga striker bought for £63 million. Risks need to be taken
Remember when Henry came to the Arsenal back in 1999? I don't. He was just a speedy winger but Wenger saw something in him and made him the best player in the world.
*And now the whole world knows about Thierry Daniel Henry.* 8-))...
I can honestly see Arteta doing the same with Šeško.
*#COYGsince66* ⬜🟥🟥🟥⬜
@@thezanzibarbarian5729 Henry carried Monaco to a CL semi final, won ligue 1, back to back young player awards and a world cup before he joined Arsenal. There are levels!
@@TheOgapatapata But who was Henry's first manger he played under at Monaco?
Wenger. His stats at Monaco aren't that great 20 in 105 games even though Wenger thought he'd be a good striker, he kept henry on the left because of his pace. And his stats were even worse when he went to Juve. 3 in 16.
So he wasn't really shaking the planet before he came to the Gunners.
@@TheOgapatapataprime Henry was something else. I would argue he is one of the best strikers in premier league history. Quite sad he couldn’t win the ucl with arsenal , but other than that a talent and more than competent player. The invincibles will never be forgotten. Though now there is leverkusen pulling their weight in the same way lol. Love to see it. Recently have been watching a lot of bundelsliga matches , the German league is quite fun and exciting when you see the competition like Stuttgart, dortmund, bayern , leipzig , etc
It’s a fun league to watch due to the sheer competitiveness . Let’s see next season what bayern do
Cause that’s like the commentareres’ curse 😂

Isaak was as good while at Sociedad or so with Odegaard. He was in London in January 2022 but that transfer fell through perhaps.
I really like this transfer because he shouldn’t have too much prsssure to begin with. He doesn’t have to start every game with him and Havertz both rotating, His potential is scary good!
You have a looser mentality
Arsenal must sign Isak
feels like an Eddie upgrade. Very excited about this one.
@@NemoZiZi-gt4bj 100%. he looks quality!
I want to hear ,sesko hve sign for arsenal , not only agree to sign for arsenal
@@NemoZiZi-gt4bj not even comparable with Nketiah imo, Sesko is levels above
Genuinely i think he will be a brilliant signing...bought him ages ago on football manager...if Arteta guides him the way he does he will be elite this year or next just needs to be a bit more profilic...better money than spending on Osimhen i think...use this window to be smart and buy other key players...would love this window to have Sesko, Fofana from Monaco, Williams or Bakayoko as RW, Diomande or Hato and Steele GK (homegrown)...sell Nketiah, maybe Jesus, Partey, Viera, ESR, Nelson, Ramsdale (sad to say)
Get this guy to Edu stat. He gets it
keep jesus, viera, loan esr, sell nelson, ramsdale and eddie and partey too.
Couldn’t help but laugh when he referenced Football Manager with a straight face😂😂😂
It's truuuueee
I'm actually not concerned about Sesko's weaknesses, because his strengths are so scary for opponents. You have to deal with him centrally, and that makes more space down the flanks. More space for Trossard, Martinelli, Saka, and our real marquée signing, Another RW.
Left winger pal
Not good enough
saka will alway be the RW
Usually when a high volume of information suggests a player is arsenal bound and wants to join the club 6 weeks later we find out he has signed for Chelsea instead 😂 don’t ever believe anything until fabrizio confirms here we go.
How many players has that actually happened with?
Mudryk and caicedo as far as I know, it is more tongue in cheek than anything chill out. Ultimately right now no one knows what’s going on, agents want money they create stories of who is really keen to generate interest and increase value in their assets. Journalists are paid to print any old crap, they also want money, if they are all selling a story it gathers pace and gets attention and views. I wouldn’t take anything too seriously until things are actually signed and announced
@@Starwars0405well Mudryk is one that comes to mind but I wouldn’t be too worried about it mowadays since Arsenal are the team on the rise as opposed to the past where Chelsea was top dog
@@benjamintorres9211 yep. That's 1 to get the ball rolling....
😂😂😂😂
Marquee? No, he's a 20 year old project striker for £55m. He'll be under no pressure to lead the line for us immediately. He's a natural goal scorer in an era filled with strikers that can't finish, and is effectively an upgrade on Nketiah.
He turned 21 today...He will be a better player than many imagined
@@gisolio85 Like Lokonga is?
Agree, football manager is a good tool to find the next wonderkids.
It absolutely is!
Smart signing if we get him not convinced with the strikers out there; Vlachovic inconsistent;Oshimen and Isak injury prone and Gyökeres its his first season getting goals;Watkins is good but very similar to Jesus;and Toney isn't good enough for Arsenal ;Sesko is raw but he got so much potential especially with Mikel there by 24 he would be world class;learning from Kai will benefit him
Put perfectly 🙌
Football manager hell yes I LOVE THAT GAME!
Arteta will make Sesko in to a good ST
Sesko seems like a smart signing. We can beat anyone with Havertz upfront so we don’t need to immediately replace him. What we need is someone with incredible potential coming on as a sub or playing cup games.
I like this one, his performance against liverpool last season was exceptional. I believe arteta will have him flying
such a nice well behaved young man talking about the Arsenal
subbed from romania
Sesko is in the top 5 under 21 years old players, which have most goal actions in 2023/24 in all competitions. 1st Palmer 2nd Wirtz 3rd Bellingham 4th Williams and 5th Sesko
I believe he could become a Marquee player at the next season in Arsenal
eredivisie is officialy top 5 so bakayoko is 4th
@@subtojustme in my opinion top-5 leagues are EPL, La Liga, Bundesliga, League 1, Serie A

Sesko could bea great signing as i feel like he fits that Arteta type of build ( tall , strong , injury prone )
Thanks for doing these vidoes James. Making me want to play FM again...
It's a great game!! And thank you, appreciate the kind words!
Yeah...Raw is the right conclusion...Do one on Zirkzee who happens to be top on my list of preferred forwards...His range of passing really excites me to a point where I believe he is a good coach away from replicating Kane's style of play in the forward role.
I've bought Sesko and Yousouffa Moukoku in every FM since 21 playing as Arsenal and they've been killers.
We want to win the prems next season so Isak is the striker we REALLY need as he’s used to the prems already & is a killer in front of goal. So he would likely hit the ground running just like Rice did in his first season with us. But Newcastle have tried to price Isak out of a move by slapping a £200million price tag on him! Sesko does seem like a very good alternative still! I trust Arts, Edu & the rest of the team now to make the right signings.
COYG 😍
Şeşko is an Edin Dzeko regen
I haven’t watched him just compilations on YT. He looks to have good movement and work rate. Certainly no finished article wouldn’t want to go more than 40 mil really.
Also as a protégé to Kai the Bundesliga connection is very important, moving to a new country, language, and playing style
The last time we signed a player named Benjamin, it turned out well, so hopefully it will work
This transfer makes so much sense. Replaces Nketiah and raises the level. Allows us to spend heavily elsewhere I.E midfield and winger. Perfect signing
Sesko is a project signing... so I see it as a positive that he has most of his experience in a 2-man attack as the 3-diamond-3 is the longterm formation of Arsenal.
But for now, we need a forward that will bring an instant significant impact especially with his clinicality.
If Sesko is signed that means he will be backup to Havertz and the star forward will have to be a LW.
The way I see it:
Mane-Saka
Firmino-Havertz
Salah- ??
Backup:
Origi-Sesko
Someone who Mikel and his coaching staff could mould and develop reasonably easily, and if we can get for £40-60mil if we develop well can sell on for theee times the price! 👌🏼🤓
Good analysis and conclusion. Will follow as a solid source of well-reasoned comment. Thanks.
Appreciate that thank you!
Love ye work James! 🤓👌🏼
Thank you!!
Whoever Arteta signs I'm comfortable. He has shown us time and again that he knows better than us
sesko is a good signing. clear upgrade on eddie and has around 2 years to develop as understudy to kai
Before the fbref stats what info/app were you using to see his player profile?
Wana learn more about players using more data sets
It is a good signing for me, I can't wait to see him in our jersey
Is Viktor Gyokeres Arsenal are going for. Gyokeres agent has been seen looking at houses in London in the past few months. Odds also point out at a move for Viktor. Who is an established number 9.
Do we only have 200million to spend due to FFP or it can still be added up from player sells?
Is he gonna be Arsenal's Darwin 👀 maybe thats harsh. He's raw potential. If we get him, I'm backing it all the way. I think he would offer more than Eddie
that is a very cool bookend
Yeah I love it!! The gates of Highbury
@Thegoonerverse What's the real question here, at this moment in time? And for me it's, is this a Mikel signing or a board singing?
My only take on him, is that i bought him to my Fiorentina FM save 2 years ago, and he bagged me 2 goals against Chelsea within the first 10 min so we ended up winning 2-1 and topped our group by 1 point to Chelsea as well ❤️🤍 He earned my respect, right then and there.
Arsenal should get him. He's at a good price and has huge potential.
We should bring in Frenkie DeJong and Joshua Kimmich. Both still young, not that expensive, bags of experience at international level. It's a no brainer for me!
I hope someone highjacks this deal, we need a finished article, enough of these projects, we need someone to get us over the line right now, otherwise we'll be talking about signing another striker next season when we go trophyless again..
I don't know why we always do this..
We don’t want to just win it now, we want to build a team to dominate the way city has been
Midfield and other positions are more of an issue. We had very little play down the left hand side this past season and that made us extremely one-dimensional. Saka's never had a break, Partey needs to potentially be sold and a younger, more energetic replacement made to start over Jorghino. I would love nothing more than a finished article upfront, but I don't think we'd then be able to make the rotational purchases we need to keep the engine ticking all of next season.
Chelsea fan here, thanks for the video 😂😂😂
😂😂
Sesko on left back one midfielder and goalkeeper if ramsdale leave and possible one winger
We need a striker thats gonna bag us 20-25 goals now, we need to go for the title again next season and the arsenal board and arteta need to show intent.
Why? We score a lot of goals already.
What we need is a WC central midfielder
@@drken9093 you can’t be serious lol, we need an out and out striker, we could score a lot more with one. I do agree we need a world class CM tho.
@@tekkn_579 yes but CM is the priority. So thats where we must.spend big.
@@tekkn_579 city and liverpool won leagues without an out and out striker. So its not like thats gonna stop us from winning the league
James this would work better if you put him up against Havertz data
feels like an agent link
shouldnt we be looking for a striker to help us win the league now rather than a project signing for 4 years? who knows how many of our current player will be in in 4 years
They should rather go for Dovbyk, the top scorer in La Liga, he has a 44 mil eur release clause.
Thanks a lot nice content
Is the deal done??
Better not be our marquee signing one of a few signings you mean but definitely not marquee or Arteta and Edu can jog on.This transfer window statement players are required.
Pythagoras in boots' video on him needs to be watched.
We need number 9 that quicker, more powerful, better finisher than eddie and jesus and also not injury prone. Sesko is enough about those aspects.
isak was bang average statistically is la liga and was bough for over 60m , look at him now. If osimehn can't happen BRING.
Don't think he will be a starter.. Will be rotation with havertz till he's ready.
Mika biereth should be our number 9 next season
Who’s the young Geeza coming through the academy who we’re all raving about? Surely we can shift him to Saka cover?
Look out for my upload in the next hour or so 👀
Why not go for openda
Sesko is not coming to be our Haaland.. probably our Alvarez. I bet Havertz will still be a very regular name on the starting lineup.
What of Viktor of Sport cp
Arsenal shld bring backh Mika Biereth , add Benjamin Sesko as a back up striker
Sesko sounds a gd replacement for Jesus we still need a experienced match winner tho
What is Sesko good and not so good at?🤔
Well, as he's a footballer, I guess he's good at fooball, however...... I can take a rough guess that he's not so good at quantum physics.
'Nuff said.
AC Milan, Bayern, PSG ..... just a few clubs that were or are interested in him. There's 2 possible reasons for that. Either those clubs are completely insane and belong in a looney bin, or they see the quality and talent he has. His performances still aren't as stable as you would want it to be, but that's to be expected from a player his age. I really hope this will happen.
Ffs plastic haven't u got any crayons left to eat?
I think (hope) that Arsenals marquee signing will be in midfield. Havertz is on too much money to sit on the bench and he clearly plays better up front. He's done good numbers when playing as a 9 for us.

Sesko best striker in the world
I want Isak
me too but its unrealistic
Are you ready to spend £100mil plus on him?
Good player but not good aerially or at pressing. Also is injury prone.
Dosent need to be when he scores 21 goals also he is in the highest pressing team in the league.
OMG....nooooooooo
The priority is to get rid of Nketiah! I don't care who comes in as long as Nketiah goes out!
I just don't think he's the answer James
I think Arteta wants to turn him into Osimhen
Im an Arsenal Fan from Germany. He struggled massively in the First half of the Season but then went Off the roof. I think in the future and maybe even now on his age and in the current market he would or will be a 100 m signing. If its the time to get him its now because of his "cheap" release clause
He isn't even better then Openda
He was barely starting games in the first half of the season that is so disingenuous
@@Putmeincoachpleasehe’s miles better mate. Have you even watched him? 🤣
@@anthonyze you're either deluded or blind
Thank you! Great to get insight from people who've watched him loads
Pythagoras in Boots made a great point in his video on Sesko last year that Red Bull play their 4312 formation because they believe it's the best setup for enabling an effective press. The other great quality Sesko has is he's a defensive monster, pressing hard with great stamina and often makes many defensive clearances from corners.
Lul
When isak was coming from la liga with bad stats everyone said the same we have to take risks
Arsenal fans are pathetic comparing this guy to isak already
Deluded asf thats why we are a meme worlwide
I would like this Signing a lot tbh he’s young, reasonable price and has
So much potential
Other options like Isak,Osimhen and Lautaro are too expensive,Watkins is a bit Old
And I doubt Toney is the great striker ppl expect him to be.
Sesko or Solanke for me and I'd prefer Sesko
@@FootballAndSuch gyokores is better in my opinion all round striker with clynical finishising exactly what arsenal needed
@Benno110 his stats are great I just haven't seen alot of him at all tbh so my opinion would be useless
I am not an expert on Sesko, but after watching this... we all are. Thanks James!
I'd hardly say I am! But hopefully gave some decent detail on the player for you all
Good video James, thorough as ever with the statistics. I hope this transfer comes off and he doesn't end up going to Chelsea, City, Liverpool or United at the final minute.
Great signing if we sell havertz. Basically a better version of havertz.
Striker should be firing shots and not passing. He's a striker to score goals.
You're selling me on Sesko. My only concern is his passing/link up play. Seems pretty fundamental for our CF's/ST's
Normally would be worried but different games require different types of strikers... we can't win the league with only link up play... we need moment players and clinical finishers
Passing stats don't really bother me as long as those shooting and conversion stats look like there's one helluva finisher in there somewhere..... And that's all we need. Passing and pressing will all improve under the mikel arteta system
Are we still in the “project” stage? I think he’s a massive risk and would only think it was a good signing if we can get him for like £30m. £50m for him would be like going into a casino and putting all your money on a number! A bit reckless
Typical bullshit Arsenal signing
With Havertz playing well up top.We don’t really need a 20+ goals a season number 9 urgently.Obviously that’s what we wanted but. With this guy being 20 with so much potential he doesn’t have to play much.We could develop him into a “20+goals”striker.It seems Artetas man to man coaching is brilliant so I’m happy about this transfer
If this signing is THE striker then it would be a massive mistake. We need a mature, developed striker who can hit the ground running next season.
This boy looks good but it could take him a season or two to find his feet. We don’t have that time.
We should go out hard to sign Isak. He would take us to that next level.
Besides, we already have a Benjamin at the club: we can’t have two!
His xg Vs goals stats show he is a great finisher.
the question is ,,,how many chances can the team create for the striker
Don't mind him replacing Eddie. But how about getting players to get us over the line in any competition? Because obviously, the current one can't even reach a final. Rather prompt academy players instead of getting players "for the future" while there's no guarantee that they will stay for that "future" specially if the club is not winning.
@hundo4000 I want us to start winning major trophies so it can convince key players to stay like Saliba. Liverpool managed to keep salah, mane, vvd, Alisson to their almost retirement age and young arnold because they reached CL final, won it the following season, then won the league the following season. So the club has giving them real chances of winning trophies every season. The longer we stay trophyless (4+ now), the chances of players staying will decrease. Even Saka, an academy player and a fan won't follow kane career path and waste his prime.
@hundo4000 yeah, this era while it's exciting to be back in the position of competing, but it won't last if we don't win soon to prevent key players from leaving and we go into another cycle of rebuild (ready excuse to why we don't win". Just like 2006-2011 team, when it was an exciting team to watch but no trophies. Causing Fabregas and Nesri to leave in the same summer! Two key players to midfield, which caused the beginning of our decline. If we are waiting for Pep to leave next summer, then how about winning double domestic cups or CL final to call it "progress"
@hundo4000calm down lol. Arteta has taken a team consistently finishing outside the top 4 and got more points every single season at arsenal challenging the best premier league team ever with a young squad and without a top goalscoring striker. Its inevitable arsenal will dominate the premier league especially with pep leaving next summer making it even easier😂😂😂
@hundo4000 yet Rice wanted to join
You guys are hilarious. 4 seasons ago we finished 2 points above Sheffield United look at us now
Rice is a monster. An absolute game changer. He is worth every penny and will be a key part in the trophies we will win over the next 5 years. Multiple trophies will be arriving. Just look at the team, look at the levels we are playing. Success is becoming inevitable. We can only sign one big marquee signing per season. Last year was Rice with Kai and Timber making up the difference.
We'll get a good look at Sesko when Slovenia play England in the Euros ☝🏾🤔💯🔥
I hope this is just agent talk since sesko makes 0 sense as a signing, were trying to win the league and we need a marquee striker and we want to sign another project player who has never played a lone 9 role is poor in big games and cant pass the ball? far too much he would need to improve on for £50m.
I also dont understand this signing for Arsenal from a market prospective, Newcastle HAVE to sell someone for a significant fee before June 30th to cover their books, they want to sell guimares but no-one is biting so their only other choice is to sell Isak or pray to sell multiple squad players before the end of the month which wont happen, on top of all that gyokeres is £85m which is not an unreasonable fee for a top level striker and considering his past 2 seasons both of which have 30+ g/a would be silly to ignore him for a project signing.
also doesn't make sense the amount of players were looking to sign when realistically we only actually NEED a top class striker and all other signings would be contingent on squad players being offloaded and signing stronger players in those position ie. sell ramsdale buy another backup.
It's probably that rare combo of physical presence, pace and two-footed finishing that's sold us on him - everything else we can coach into him. Needs some work still - what 21yo doesn't? - but there's a lot there to work with. He could be almost every type of striker rolled into one if we get it right. And it leaves plenty for the winger we all want.
No pressure for sesko..because Havertz already settle in no 9 position..much more to learn for sesko..nice addition too and good potential.
Im sorry he is great but no. If you really want a striker then get osimhen if you dont, just forget about it we dont need it that much. Get leao whenever possible and our front is pretty much complete. Would much rather focus on the lcm this summer if the guys i mentioned are not available and just get a winger alternative(cheaper) for now.
Project signing by the time he is ripe we need to buy other positions NO.....we need A1 striker now
When you consider the ST market, our depth in that position, and the relatively lower price tag (compared to other strikers named)...Lower price tag allows us to go after more signings.. I think this is a good deal. He doesn't need to be THAT guy right away..we can slowly integrate and develop him..However, a young player like him needs to play to develop so hopefully he can get up to speed quickly..I have concerns but in today's market, I'd probably take it
Makes sense if Havertz will be the main guy. A good replacement for Nketiah
Nope havertz will be a lcm again
