My younger self would be so proud that I actually made my first cover of a Ghost and Pals song! Their music/art has inspired me ever since I was 13, and I'm 22 now. So thank you Ghost for all the cool things you make and all the inspiration you bring! ^_^

Your voice is lovely! I'm usually afraid of listening to covers of songs that originally had a voice synthesizer singing them being sung by a real person, but it sounds great here!! I like the extra effects too! Adds to the well, uncanniness of it all!
I listen to so many vocal synth songs that when i listen to music with a person singing my brain takes a minute

Lovely! Although... I feel that your voice is sometimes too soft when it needs to be stronger though, too whispery and airy when the song demands it be more solid and absolute, perhaps even demanding cleaner notes. I also feel that you were occasionally offkey particularly towards the beginning of the song (though that would likely be from nervousness).
You don't have to take my constructive criticism, and I'm not necessarily right about all fo this because I don't see anyone else mentioning this. So it could be opinionated. Still, what drew me to the original song was the forceful emotion in his voice, the pure sorrow and shame that almost made it seem like he was angry at himself for what happened to him. He demands closeness, and then demands isolation later on. It's an outpour of strong emotion. I don't see that as much in your version... yours comes across as more wistful, like dreamy wishes for a better past, which feels contradictory to the tempo, structure, and lyrics of the song. Do you see what I mean? I don't know if I'm getting my point across very well... I'm not terribly great as describing these things. It just didn't strike me in the same way as the original, it doesn't resonate with me as much, and your version feels off for the style of the song.
Of course, this could just be your style of singing, but your style doesn't seem fitting for this particular song. Although this is only my observation as a single person, so don't go about changing it unless you also strongly agree with my point, lol. I just hate to see a song with such complex and deep emotions of anger, shame, lashing out, desperation, regret, fear, confusion, and sorrow be turned into... well, mostly confusion, regret, shame, and sorrow.
But look, I don't intend to just rip your cover to shreds. Your voice is beautiful, and I can tell that you had great intent to handle the song well. I don't want to make you feel like it was all bad. I can still appreciate the song, I just don't feel the singer's pain in the same way that I do with the original.
Keep doing what you do, but I felt that maybe you would appreciate my input. I don't know, I know that I'm only a stranger on the internet and you don't have any reason to value my opinion. But I hope that you'll understand where I'm coming from and give my observation some value, lol. I just want to be honest about how your cover felt lacking to me. So... hopefully this comment isn't wrong of me to post.
