Thanks Tom!
Anytime guys, your channel is fantastic and you do an awesome job.
GO TOM!
Right on!
Thanks for the video guys. It was a great venue and rather easy compared to other venues I have competed, certainly easier than WVa. Yes I95 stunk. The only remaining poo from the farm was very old in the parking lot. The sand was tough and there were a few deep black shoe sucking mud. Completed my 4th trifecta. Aroo
Nice work on the 4x! Awesome! And I thought so, I95 is universally terrible.
Came here to hit the like button and see how Ultra BEASTS complain about the course being too easy :)
Thank you my friend!!
This was my first Ultra. I also booked Newberry Ultra in November. I found this to be extremely tough. My feet are pretty tore up. But…I am super excited to train up and get ready to kill it in Newberry. Also, I’ve only ever done one other spartan race and it was a sprint in 2022. I definitely underestimated this race. Will be better prepared next time.
Awesome. You'll love Newberry, a great course with a lot of variety. I suggest booking a room soon since there is not much availability in
that area. Good luck in training, you will do awesome!
Thanks Tom. I’ll heed your advice. Hope to see you out there!
Right on. Train up, take care of your feet, and get that Buckle in November! I see Tom replied already. Also, follow Tom's advice, he's a machine!
@@OCRKings thanks guys! Your videos motivate me. AROOOO! And best believe I already got the buckle.
I did the 21k for the first time. The course was good and I am going to the Poconos for the 10k and 5k in July
Nice work! And good luck at Palmerton, that is a great location!
excellent review!
Thank you kindly!
I ran that race and it was great. I was one of those guys that ran as fast as i could once i heard thunder to prevent from being stopped or pulled off. I would go back in the future to do another Ultrafecta.
They gotta catch us first 😂
Love it!
Right on!
Just realized I'm running the tough mudder end of June and I've been neglecting training 😮. Uh oh 😳. This is going to hurt 😭.
Good to hear there is a race in your area! And you're gonna be fine! What day in June, how many days do you have to train?
Nice work
Thank you! Cheers!
sounds like a great course
indeed
you three look great in that pic
Why, thank you!
👍
👊👊
@@OCRKings just giving the algorithm some love
Why do they pull you off the course for lightning??? You sign a waiver right?
Ha, good point!😂
I know. I hate to be that guy BUT... Spartan did that here once and I threw a hissy fit. And demanded my money back. To me it's a lot of money. Took 3 months but I won.
@@harrygrimley4352 Nice. They need to take into account that other expenses go into getting there(gas, flights, hotel, etc…) that obviously have to take a knee on, but they should give you your refund if they don’t allow you to finish it.
I did one of my rare forays east of the Mississippi and thoroughly enjoyed the course, Spartan+ tent and Athlete Services. I was happy to see how full the parking lot was and the huge crowds. I didn’t think the course was too sandy except for a few short stretches. They were very generous with mid-course bananas, outhouses and well-spaced water stations. The sadists at Spartan placed the Rope Climb near the end of the course, right after Multi-Rig AND a muddy spot, but I still managed to ring the bell! Going back to RDU airport, I-95 absolutely sucked - it was a non-stop construction zone almost its entire length, and the exit Siri wanted me to take was blocked off, but continuing straight got me to the airport (so I’m not sure what that exit was all about). If you don’t mind paying more and flying Delta instead of Southwest (with its greater ticket change flexibility), it might be worth flying into Fayetteville from Atlanta instead. Car rental is ridiculously expensive; I wonder if using Lyft or Uber from the city to the venue is feasible.
how many races has Tom done this year??
Well … 21 Spartan with 6 Trifectas in ‘24. But I’ve done another 12 trail races, but none longer than 25k. I got a Spartan Unbreakable Pass last year. I mean …. everyone needs a hobby right?
6x, already... AMAZING!

does anyone else get 3 minute ads?
Sadly, yes. We've seen (and skipped) more of those lately.
