Nice to see an Aussie meal challenge! Prices are through the roof so if you can help and encourage someone to cook some cheaper, nutritious meals, that is fantastic!
It is a very good tip unfortunately we are not fans of any legumes, split peas, broad beans, lentils, chick peas I could go on and on - but it's a not from us LOL
I absolutely enjoy all your videos! It has helped me save a heap on groceries, thank you for your amazing tips to shopping. You're amazing, keep up the great work.
Thank you so much for telling me I had someone tell me that my meals are expensive and unrealistic I know I shouldn’t take it personally but it just hits hard
@@FrugalFunMum That's terrible! They don't know how much of a help you've been to people who are struggling, and with your tips, I'm able to put a hot meal on the table for my children. So thank you!
I love the fact that u include the dinner alternative for your son. Chicken nuggets and breaded chicken are my easy food options as a 34 year old. Great to see the leftovers too.
Great video! Produce is really crappy and expensive here in victoria. So many empty shelves as well making shopping a real challenge sometimes just trying to get the basics.
Awesome challenge and all looks great. The chicken pieces you cooked in a oven bag, does it make a diff to just open baking on an oven tray. Love quiche but inky ever used milk or some cream, does the sour cream make any difference? ❤❤
Thanks could have added the potato into the stew and still done mash but didn't want to bore everyone LOL. Could have added more carrots and paid for a pumpkin now that I see I'm under budget but oh well!
What do you mean the cauliflower is expensive? That is literally so cheap compared to other places, stop being a cheapskate and actually feed your family vegetables!
My local fruit and veg shop is where I usually buy a lot of stuff as it has great prices! When they sell cauliflower for $3 for a massive head and often seconds at great prices. I know you are new here so I'll repeat what I've said 200 times before. My family have a lot of sensory and texture need when it comes to food due to Autism, ADHD and other likes and dislikes. There isn't a lot of variety that they enjoy so I'm not going to feed them food 'just for the sake of it' so I cook the things I know they will eat. My daughter and I are the only ones who eat Cauliflower so it's also why I complained at the price for how small the head was. I live in Adelaide and our food is cheaper than a lot of other places around. I am NOT a cheapskate I am frugal. Thanks for your comment but I refuse to accept your negativity what a pity you can't just be kind.

@@FrugalFunMum ,
You are most welcome!
A good tip to make mince go further, mix with canned lentils

I use rolled oats. Less detectable by my children 😂❤️

Loved your video. My favourite was the casserole. And great to see what was left over. Lovely to see an Australian video. 💕🇦🇺

I don’t know I just cook it like that as a quiche Lorraine uses both cream and sour cream so I only ever use one
You do a great job stretching meat!
