how many songs are on boarderlands? A lot of the genZ kids talk about boarderlands showing them thier songs... I see this comment a lot. I learned about this song on the movie American Made. It's a very good movie, I suggest you check it out. Good way to spend 2.5hours.
Same. Sad to know we're only getting one more masterpiece from these lads before they retire. It's been an amazing ride, they deserve to enjoy the rest of their lives.
weakest in the franchise, bad, woke writing. I reinstalled it to give it a shot, uninstalled after 10 minutes. went back to 1-2, remembered why I loved the series. Presequel, I wish I could like it, I tried. Eh. It's so offputting. @@michaelbecket4901
Has anyone else realized that there are two songs by "The Heavy" in Borderlands 2? The first one is "Short Change Hero", the second one is "How You Like Me Now?" Not to mention that this song right here plays during the credits of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. I'm just saying that there have been three songs used in the series by this band, which is great for "The Heavy," since it will most likely increase the number of listeners of this music. I just hope that Gearbox and the band acknowledge what each other did and are grateful if anything good happened afterwards.
You know, i actually discovered the heavy through some car commercial with "how you like me now" but ive played all the borderlands and it definitely got me excited. Also jungle
Everybody here is talking about some video game or fake wrestling but I know this song in it's truest and purest form: Strike Back. Best show on television. PERIOD.
Does it matter? The point is people now get to listen to this amazing music. Music should be shared. Not kept a secret to feel good about yourself when you know it before others.
Top Gear used the instrumental of this song for their season 19 Africa Special :D !!! I first heard it at the end of Borderlands the Pre-Sequel and then noticed it!
Fitting for the end too. The rise of Handsome Jack, Wilhelm's devolution into machine, Nisha... still being Nisha, leaving Athena and Claptrap being the only actual legit good guys
Serious question: Is TPS being mediocre a meme? I'm not joking, TPS is actually the best story in the series (possibly barring Tales as I have never played it). Borderlands was bare bones in the original with uninteresting characters and a relatively boring plot compared to the other entries. Borderlands 2 is pretty good. Definitely has one of the best villains in video game history, but I think the story is average at best and Jack's charisma carries it. I also like the dynamic the VHs carry this time: they're all morally reprehensible to varying degrees and solely out for revenge, but are willing to save Pandora in the process. BL3 is crap with a few silver linings. TPS had the daunting task of making a prequel to a story where we *already knew what the end result was* and still make us care. Again, the main cast is amazing, and it's interesting to see how they all change over the course of the story. The two obvious psychopath VH become more deranged as the story progresses, Athena watches herself become an anti-villain conflicted with her need to always finish a mission even if it goes against what few morals she still has, Claptrap was following orders and got screwed because of it, Aurelia even manages to become disgusted at what Jack has become. Jack was actually a decent human being at one point. He honestly thought he could be the hero Pandora needed...and we were all kind of hoping he could do it, even though we knew he would fail. And then, he gets betrayed and belittled time and time again. He's still responsible for his own actions, but it's not hard to see why he fell so hard. Admit it, when Jack said, "I was _gonna, let you, LIVE!_ You dumb bastard. Oooooh, actually, that felt kind of good" it sent chills down your spine because this is where the spiral started.
@@wherethetatosat I for one, agree with this statement. TPS definetly had a great story compared to the other games (not including TFTB). But the game fell flat when content was short. I honestly would have loved to see a more post launch content. Instead we only got one story DLC, cosmetics and a vault hunter. And if the devs would have made the game a bit more replayable then I think TPS would have been one of the greater games in the series. But all in all it has become a bit of a meme. I guess it's just fun to bash a game that did badly because of poor choices.
@@proxicat123 Indubitably. Only reason I rank BL2 higher than TPS is sheer volume of content. I have some 2,500 hours in BL2. I have half that in TPS just because TPS feels more repetitive.
@@wherethetatosat Not only that, but TPS's post-game is probably the worst in the franchise. 2k Australia was only able to get one DLC Campaign (which was probably one of the best DLCs in the series) released before they went bankrupt and closed down (there were plans for a second expansion, thankfully the expansion's concept was repurposed for the Fight For Sanctuary DLC in 2).
@@wherethetatosat Fighting Wilhelm in BL2 was fun, and then I played TPS and saw his character before he became that big, saw the credits and said aloud "Holy shit!" along with seeing Fragtrap revealed to become the Claptrap in BL2. Probably because those were the characters my brother and I played through the game with.

This song perfectly reflects the moral ambiguity of Jack's rise to power. Which is why it is awesome.
I know I'm the minority but The Pre Sequel was the best one in the series...
@@ProjectV6 I personally prefer the first one, but the PS is definitely under-rated.
