I think the Black Market Music period of Placebo was very dark and dangerous; just listening to the album or seeing Brian from that time feels that way, just like they said in this interview. I'm happy that the people in the band are better and healthier now than they were then - but still I can't deny that there was more of an edge to their older albums. It's like they were walking on a very thin, dangerous line and it shows in the music.
