    Thank you Taryn and Logan for taking us with you on this wonderful adventure. I am an 82 year old Australian, so there is no chance of me getting there under my own steam. You have made the impossible real. Best regards, David.

    Wonderful episode! Brings back many great memories of being anchored directly in front of the falls celebrating my 40th birthday. That was 17 years ago - time to go back for another visit! Keep on!

      At 16:00 it is a nice story but I think the reality is more that, there are so little trees left worth harvesting that one can actually hire a heli pilot to carry two-three trees and still make a profit.

    • @WaywardLifeSailing
      @WaywardLifeSailing  2 года назад +1

      Yeah that’s def part of it. It’s a pretty fine line for them between profit and bankruptcy as well though. The logging industry is one that is constantly on the brink. Def not a great investment

    Love the glacial comments. Every time I watch your videos, I'm like that is so glacial geomorphology.

    • @WaywardLifeSailing
      @WaywardLifeSailing  2 года назад

      haha totally! there is obviously so much of it in the coastal mountains, but it seemed even more pronounced in Jervis Inlet. Made me wish I had my old geo text books with me to nerd out on

    Stern tieing is always tricky and different every time whether it's your 1st or 21st and it is, as is anchoring and docking a spectator sport lol The struggle is real!

    • @WaywardLifeSailing
      @WaywardLifeSailing  2 года назад

      Such a struggle! Nearly turned me off of stern tying till we watched people struggle to leave the next morning and I realized we couldn’t have been the only ones having a problem getting set up 😂😂

    I have been there two times. First time single handed up, spending the first night in Vancouver Bay so I could catch the slack at Malabou Rapids. On my own there is another leval of stress BUT so enjoyable. The next year Carol joind me and was so impressed with the trip up Jervise. We again overnighted at Vancouver Bay. When one goes 40 + miles inland into the mountains one can only be humbled by the shear beauty that our coast has to offer costal.

    Stern tying can be tough at times. At least you didn’t put on scuba gear to run line even though you have a tender. We witnessed this during a storm on a new 72 ft PB in Melanie Cove 🙈
