Thank you Taryn and Logan for taking us with you on this wonderful adventure. I am an 82 year old Australian, so there is no chance of me getting there under my own steam. You have made the impossible real. Best regards, David.
Thanks for joining us David! We’re happy to have you along 😌❤️
SO lucky to get to see Humpback.
Brought back lots of good memories.⛵️👍
We have so many of them from up there! 😌
Wonderful episode! Brings back many great memories of being anchored directly in front of the falls celebrating my 40th birthday. That was 17 years ago - time to go back for another visit! Keep on!
I think it’s one of those places you could visit every year and never get tired for it 😍
I've been once, as a teenager 15 years ago. Having just bought a 30ft sloop, this is the expedition im planning my summer around ❤
You’re gonna love it! Just make sure you have lots of fuel!
Fun! Great video crew. Stay safe out there!
Thanks! You too 😌
One of my fav place in all the PNW certainly in Canada if not the world.
I will now watch the video.
Thank you in advance.
At 16:00 it is a nice story but I think the reality is more that, there are so little trees left worth harvesting that one can actually hire a heli pilot to carry two-three trees and still make a profit.
Yeah that’s def part of it. It’s a pretty fine line for them between profit and bankruptcy as well though. The logging industry is one that is constantly on the brink. Def not a great investment
Too cool. I have heard of this place so many times but this is my first time seeing it.
We have three more videos coming with adventures from here! And they just get better 😌
Thanks for that! Great scenery and down to earth attitude.
Thanks for watching! 😌
Used to live in Pacific northwest. My brother in law is Canadian from Vancouver island . Now lives next door to us in Ireland. My niece lives in Victoria.
We miss Ireland a lot and hope to sail back there eventually! Ireland is so beautiful, albeit in a different way than here.
Stunning views
Love the glacial comments. Every time I watch your videos, I'm like that is so glacial geomorphology.
haha totally! there is obviously so much of it in the coastal mountains, but it seemed even more pronounced in Jervis Inlet. Made me wish I had my old geo text books with me to nerd out on
Beautiful place indeed ❤️
Thanks for watching 😌
This is such a treat for those who get to watch the adventure, very grateful for that! Envy you being there and appreciate all hard work making it happened.
Thanks so much for watching! I’m glad you enjoyed 😌
Never heard of helilogging before. Wow
Stern tieing is always tricky and different every time whether it's your 1st or 21st and it is, as is anchoring and docking a spectator sport lol The struggle is real!
Such a struggle! Nearly turned me off of stern tying till we watched people struggle to leave the next morning and I realized we couldn’t have been the only ones having a problem getting set up 😂😂
Cheers guys
Thanks for watching!
Great vid! Logan I need a beer BEFORE flying my drone over water just to settle the nerves...fantastic shots!
Haha thanks for watching!
Beautiful video work!
Thank you and Thanks for watching!
I have been there two times. First time single handed up, spending the first night in Vancouver Bay so I could catch the slack at Malabou Rapids. On my own there is another leval of stress BUT so enjoyable. The next year Carol joind me and was so impressed with the trip up Jervise. We again overnighted at Vancouver Bay. When one goes 40 + miles inland into the mountains one can only be humbled by the shear beauty that our coast has to offer costal.
I agree. I was pleasantly surprised by how amazing and epic the journey up was, we are so blessed to have scenery like this close by!
Stern tying can be tough at times. At least you didn’t put on scuba gear to run line even though you have a tender. We witnessed this during a storm on a new 72 ft PB in Melanie Cove 🙈
Hahaha that’s a creative and complicated way to do it!
Can.....not......wait.....Great video, we are planning for May this year.
Do you need a couple of extra crew of that trip…? 😂😂
@@WaywardLifeSailing you never know! How are the repairs coming along?
@@HittingtheroadMatt they’re finally coming! Cut off the mystery chain locker pipe today and we just need to make some templates and then plating will start being cut out of the chain locker. Might be back in the water by May but I think we are looking more at the middle of summer
@@WaywardLifeSailing That's too bad, I would love to come by and see what you guys are up to sometime, I have worked with glass boats lots but never steel.
@@HittingtheroadMatt you’re more than welcome any time!
Another great video guys! Those racing boats were cruising about as fast as I did half the time last summer...;)
Great shots of the rapids! Sure shows why smart boaters wait for near-slack!
Thanks for watching! Yes I was very happy we waited to closer to slack! The rapids were running pretty well right until then 😳
Love your channel! New subscribe! 💜
Thank you! I’m excited to watch more of your videos too! 😍😍
I keep promising to go to Princess Louisa but we never seem to make it. Maybe next summer LOL. Thanks for another great vid. Ron ~Sailing Infidels~
You’re gonna love it when you finally get there!!
Great video! How about how deep it is going up, A little hard to drop an anchor! When I went up the dock was way shorter!
No doubt hey?! Not many options when it’s busy! How many years ago were you up there?
@@WaywardLifeSailing It was the late 80's or early 90's can't remember that long ago! I'm lucky to remember from last week!
@@theislandpackrat 😂😂😂
