I actually named mine Gene Simmons
Gen 7 and 8 has been super generous to the Bug type.
Gen 7 introduced the powerhouse Golisopod, the special attackers Vikavolt and Ribombee.
And Gen 8 really gave the Bug type some power with Centiskorch, Orbeetle, and Frosmoth. My favorite is Centiskorch! I mean, come on! A fiery centipede with a base stat total of 525 with Fire Lash AND Lunge, who wouldn’t want that!?
Can’t forget about gen 5! A ton of amazing bug types in that gen

@@Astrons yeah, Gen 5 was when the Bug type began getting some actual respect. Ever since gen 5 we always get 1 viable bug type that can last you through an entire playthrough. Can't forget the moves as well
Centiskorch is insane. It has high base power moves from which it gets Stab from. I definetly want one on my team I'm ever going to play either Sword or Shield.

You know someone is not that good at pokemon when they think a rock type against charizard is a bad idea
it was his first nuzlocke, and to be fair, Crustle despite being part rock type is actually weak to rock attacks, since without taking dual types like ground and steel into account, which alot of rock pokemon get paired with, when it's just rock vs rock, the attacks do neutral damage, and rock is super effective against bug.
That said, Crustle's two abilities would've kept Jerry safe, as Sturdy would've prevented it from death in one hit, and Solid Rock halves damage from super effective moves, but again it was his first nuzlocke, so he might not have been aware of that.

Fun fact every single time you dynamax you get a certain moveset which will be basically Max moves they can't miss so no matter what he pretty much won that fight cuz Charizard lost his dynamax which made him a lot weaker so he won basically

I did in sun/moon an egg lock. I bred 18 eggs (one for each type) and traded that to sun. Then after each normal nuzluck catach I releas that pokemon and hatch an egg.
I ended up winning the e4 with only my clefable alive from all 18 eggs. Lost most during training (like an aerodactyle to a fearow)

Why though ? Same with oleana and Olivia from sun and moon. I don’t know the German name for Olivia right now but I now it was changed in German ( why ever but ok then the German Pokémon translators think Olivia is a to compliceted name )
