These older EC 250s and 300s are under-rated bikes. I have a 97’ and a 98’ EC 250 . Way ahead of their time , counter balanced- very light. And the engine characteristics are unmatched to anything in their time . I’ve owned everything from Hondas to YZ’s - RMs , you name it . The OLD gas gas bikes were animals . On top of that / extremely reliable machines .
My coworker had an EC250 in that year range. I was amazed how small they are for a full size bike. I had a YZ250 at the time and it dwarfed them dimensionally, but that EC is a true gem
Holy Shit! 😲❤️....Beautiful Shade of Blue. I, mistakenly thought that GasGas was a new company. I had no idea that they've been around for so long . Hell, even back then, they looked top shelf.
Awesome ride. I tried a GASGAS 300 back in '04 and loved it. Great size and power. Ronnie Mac uses a recluse clutch. I thought about it and realized it would keep you from stalling the motor when performing aggressive brake slides and when hitting the rear brake in the air jumping.
Hello everyone from Girona, home of the old Gas Gas companies. Fortunately, they continue to fight at the hands of Rieju, which markets them under its own brand. In addition, this year 2022 they have won the Spanish hard enduro championship. All the best !
I bought one new in 04' and put the expansion pipe on with Port and polished. it was wide and low center of gravity. I should not have gotten rid of it. it was a lot of torque and had a 6 speed!
Yes I remember seeing a video of a European youtuber that had a 300 race quad. Thing seemed insane and back then I thought gasgas was some cheap Chinese brand. Very wrong but just sounded Chinese.
Hello, is an awesome bike, I am the owner of a 2002 ec250 factory edition for the enduro gp. came with a special suspension, ollins in front and rear but 335 mm on the back instead of 310, also messico full exhaust system ( a rare italian hand made exhaust system used only by a few ), also more and more modifications in a dyno this 250 hit 58cvs and the bike is hard as a stone, only 1 engine rebuilt in 20 years, crazy bike love my gasgas, never gonna get rid off it
im spanish and i had the GasGas 250 2004 and it was a very light and powerfull bike. the worst thing of this bike is the power in low and mid revs, but it is a solid enduro bike. I am glad that you all American riders have discovered this wonderful european enduro bike brand
@@16weedboy16 since 5 years ago i ve the 300 EC 2009 with FMF ganrly and q- Stealth exhaust and there re a massive difference with the 250 in low and mie revs. But its true that these engines are a rock. Very good bikes
Awesome bike. I have a 2007 ec250 in red that has been converted to supermoto. Packed with just about every anodised part you can buy. Never selling it. Keep doing what you're doing guys 👍
And no videos of your bike on your channel?? Was really interested in seeing your bike with all it`s bling. The Gas Gas bikes just look so amazing with 17" on them.
I had a 98 Gasgas ec125, back when they had a TM engine in them. Was a weapon of a bike and had a Messico pipe that just sounded amazing, excel rims, brembo’s everything.
I’m actually coming from ohio bringing my dad to see senior and the gang for Christmas. Also maybe joining the gas gas family while we are up there! It’s a 9 hour drive for us but so worth it
😈😈😈stainless steel sleeve and rings on gas gas .. they do make quality ill give them that ! Unbelievable power curves .. hows the 2 stroke era also nearly surpassed by the new 4 stroke generation. . Till now .... they haul and ate the beat over all hill cimbers and all terrain modules for expertise riders ... stumped again by the technological innovation and advancements of these machines ..., give me an old honda air cooled xr 400 any day of the week for a road trip across a whole country 😈😈😈😈
Cool looking bike....is this street legal in the states.....what with that stupud epa ban on 2 strokes for street use.....is that still something you guys over there have to put up with?
i have a 2017 ec300 and as long as you have i think its the q-stealth silencer with spark arrestor it can be street legal. you also need blinkers, head and tail lights, horn, and plates
the 2018/2019 gasgas 250 factory edition is nice with the red kayabas by techical touch it is one of my favorite bikes even the old motor block runs great and the 300 has 60 to 80 hp tuned ... goood suspension and headlight set for the on the road they are all what the old ones have there great and undestroyable and what the new ones dont have with that chitty ktm valve , only the ktm steel frame and kayabas by techical touch and there gasgas motorblock man what a ride ... pro level my 2 stroke has over 60 hp and its a high crazy rev 250 faster then a 300 ... and its forigives good easy to control you should have one ...
😈😈😈 same colours as the yz or yzf 250 even wrf 😈😈😈 thats what i thouggt it was ... those wr 400's where did that tec come from crazy , then the light weiggt 426 add ons till there light as a feather ..... then all the bike brands went into a different dimension .... loved the older huskys 530 ect 😈😈😈😈 weird and then the diesel engines. ... we use to go up tye beach in an ood nissan 2 litre diesel with trailer. . Hardly made it onto beach ... now these small 3 litre diesels pull like a freight traun and can tow 3 tinnes of caravan on the beach 😈😈😈

Hey bud I have an 02 gas gas ec250 and they’re nasty bikes. Would you happen to know where I can find plastics for it??
Able to get parts?

you guys are bring so much joy to hundreds of kids and families. Well done thank you Ken and Jr Ken
Very cool to see an original GasGas! The recluse clutch is pretty neat the bike just looks right.
Holy Shit! 😲❤️....Beautiful Shade of Blue. I, mistakenly thought that GasGas was a new company. I had no idea that they've been around for so long . Hell, even back then, they looked top shelf.
I had an ‘05 and to date it is still the best handling dirt bike I’ve ever ridden.

I have 03 250 XC , have loved it , also have auto clutch , bought new an has been a great bike , never a problem
Gas Gas also offered a quad with that same 300 2 stroke engine in it back then. Would love to find one of those.

I have '13 EC300. Basically the same old bulletproof engine. Can put hundreds of hours before piston or rod needs to be changed

Beautiful bike! Love all the machines you offer. Older & newer. 2-stroke & 4-stroke. I'm a dirtbike & sport quad lover! #KaplanCyclesUSA
My dad bought one new back in 2003 or 04, you can put a counter balancer on this engine, it was so smooth.
What a awesome machine, love the color✌
Me too!
Yep....super colour blue n red
Spes were a Spanish exhaust manufacturer. Special performance exhaust systems.
Another gem 💎
I have one in a bit of a sorry state it's my next project once I put my vstrom back together, I can't wait to see it looking even close to this one

I remember when they made 4 wheelers with those motors. I think it was the wild 300 or something like that
'She's a beaut.. Clark'

Never seen that clutch design before. Why hasn't this become the norm? Is there a disadvantage with them?
