You guys should do a series like this but on specialty training (high angle, hazmat, dive team, pump operations) and all the training that goes into classes like that
Greetings from the Czech Republic. As a future fire prevention student, your series are giving me alot of information about what I should prepare for etc. Love your series, keep up the great work!
To an European 15 weeks of training to become a professional firefighter sounds absolutely crazy. In Germany the basic career figherfighter training is 36 months, while training "on the job" as an aspirant is usually possible after at least one year of fire/paramedic academy.
@@omarbabovic5241 That's not my point. My point is there is no way you should go out on any call as a full crew member with just a few weeks of training.
Four months of hard work! They earned it! Glad to watch it as they train and take some stuff away from it!

J_TheCzech How long is the training in the Czech Republic? In Poland, it lasts generally 7 months, including 2 months of intership at the unit.
Really liked the chest/neck prop for they used when practicing the cric in the skate park. Never seen a wearable dummy for that before.

There is also a 12 to 24 month probation period.
@@omarbabovic5241 Yeah, during that period you are already out in the field in your function though? There is no additional staffing?
@@Mike25654 afaik you are watched like a hawk learning at the station.

@@Mike25654 true, I know that they don't go inside the structure, they run hose and go on simple calls.
So what if you can’t swim?
Learn
TheModernSnipez that’s like saying “you’re going though some PTSD” oh well “suck it up”
@@norcalemt02 ...you're comparing learning to swim to ptsd? LOL
TheModernSnipez if you were traumatized as a child in body of water yes!
@@norcalemt02 Then don't do the job since you're not capable.
Only 16 Weeks of Training? In Germany they Train New recruits for 2 years
