IMO Leo 2AV serves absolutely no purpose in German line-ups. Rad 90 and Leo 2K are always the better choice(s) with better mobility and better fire power, while the armor on all 3 vehicles are just auto-cannon protected in the front (even if Leo 2AV has a higher value on paper, it does not make a big difference in combat).
An older version of Leopard 2 (like 2 to 2A3) would be nice as a weaker but equal to 2A4, and also maybe give the 2A4 DM33 since i heard its the most common ammo used by 2A4s in service
I kind of get why they did it. It’s just an easy vehicle but boring. I honestly think that the Marder 2 would be more interesting with its 35/50 mm gun. But it’s better then another T72 with better armor but no upgrades to the engine.

With my experiences, I personally like close quaters with hiding behind buildings. I got 6 kills in 1 match, I guess this particular leopard likes my playstyle
9.7 seems pretty high for this vehicle. the turms doesnt make any concessions and is the same br. i basically see this as an up armored m48, shoots the same shell and with pretty similar speed characteristics
The Turms has no mobility and terrible turret control, the 2AV has a better round then the US 10.0 M1 Abrams, is as armoured as the M1 Abram's, FYI Tankestein didn't actually test the turret but its own DM33 round cannot pen it, which means no 8.7 - 10.0 US round will be able to pen it bar M900, the 2AV is significantly better then the XM-1 and MBT-70 which are 9.3, its fine at 9.7.

@@jaxrammus9165 No one disagrees Russia is broken at top tier, but the amount of newbs that play the Turms make it a horrendous vehicle, hence why Russia at 9.7 has such an extremely low win rate, but yes the Turms is pretty nuts, but it's biggest advantage is large maps, if your on a large map and your facing Russia at 9.7, your pretty screwed as it literally has everything going for it, but on smaller maps they can struggle quite a bit, also as someone who has played the Turms and the M1 Abrams, the turms mobility isn't even close, every vehicle the Turms faces is faster has a quicker reload and overall handles better, the Turms on the other hand can pen pretty much everything it faces has a nuke round and gen 3 thermals and also no reverse, it is a good vehicle, but it has its downsides as well, the only reason the Turms is at 9.7 is because of the people playing it.
killer 9.7 Germany line-up LEO 2K, LEO 2AV, PUMA, "Bagelpanzer" (MBT-70 if you have it and the PT if you have it) getting uptiered is very rare you usually play as top tier or you get uptiered to 10.0 Also you can farm Turms and Challanger DS players if you know the maps there is nothing stopping you from getting 5+ kills every match

In War Thunder’s meta, it would be better than the T64B, a tank that was previously at 9.7 but got moved down to 9.3 and is now basically the best 9.3 MBT and it is agreed upon by most who have played it or are knowledgeable on it that it would be fine at 9.7, especially if they moved the TURMS up to a proper BR like 10.0. It would be completely overpowered at 9.3, being one of the toughest and fastest vehicles, and being extremely survivable and hard hitting as well.

I just missed my chance to get it yesterday. Started playing late and didn't finish the stage in time. Honestly war thunder events are kinda dogshit. Why does gaijin decide to time gate fucking everything. Same with battle pass challenges, they were fine until gaijin decided to time gate them rather than having them available all season.

Bought the Leo pzbtl 123 august 2nd now I’m at 10.0 BR in all tech tree Germany and it’s fun now. It wasn’t fun when I first bought it, you have to learn top tier insanely fast or you will just take L after L. I was lucky to get mig 21 sps k and leo at the same time at 50% off but you literally have to study war thunder videos and study actual tank footage of these modern tanks to understand how to kill them, I think if you’re gonna buy a top tier you need to be actually interested in the top tier tech etc and want to learn to kill it quick

@@PLPlolol1 the 2a4. when he was switching between the stat cards you can notice the weight stay the same but the hp which i used short for horsepower is different where the 2a4 has about 1380 something or close to that and the 2av the new event one has 1500 at the same weight and same rpms limit so it will go from stand still to moving fast ish with little time in between rather than take awhile to speed up

Spawn camping is when you ride the flank (or somehow get behind enemy lines) and pick off people as they come out of their base while the match is still alive. Spawn pushing is when the entirety of the battlefield is controlled by one team, so the only place to go is on the outside of their spawn. Big difference.

With the pt16 autoloading leopard at the same BR, I have a hard time seeing this staying at 9.7 without a mobility/armor buff.
