Great vid Ed! It was an honor to help with it :) something to note is that besides these 15 specializations, there are 15 more you unlock later in the game during the story! These are: -Astrologer (you set up certain combinations before battle that lead to powerful effects once battle starts) -Doombringer (your actions proc effects that would start on other actions, like Attacks that proc effects that would happen after resurrecting a creature) -Dreamshade (you mess around with a new debuff called Inverted, Inverted makes creatures heal on taking damage and take damage on healing, among other things) -Druid (you have less total party members, and give your remaining ones massive boosts in power) -Grovetender (kinda like Animator, with a creature called a Herbling that gets stronger during combat and evolves at certain points in battle) -Paladin (taking damage makes you deal even more in return, counter-focused spec) -Purgatorian (Kill your own creatures, and that makes them stronger, they even act while dead and their traits are still active but you do need at least 1 live one) -Rune Knight (fight using Rune spells unique to that class, and empower them) -Siegemaster (Super defensive tank spec) -Spellweaver (gain spell infusions over the course of battle you can mix for powerful effects) -Tribalist (use an entire party of the same race like a team of Priests or Efts to boost them) -Trickster (Luck based spec that can manipulate some RNG to your advantage) -Windrunner (spec dedicated to stacking large amounts of speed and dealing tons of damage with that speed) And two more, Royal and Fanatic! These two are surprises ;)
Once this hits the Switch, I would definitely try out the Cabalist. I love fun, chaotic battles with big surprises, so that class just speaks right to me.
Thanks for a great vid! Concerning the Bloodmage starter creature, you mentioned that the Silenced debuff cuts spellpower in half. Silence actually means that the creature cannot cast any spells until the Silence is removed. If the creature has resistance to Silence, they can still cast spells but they deal 50% less damage with spells.
I chose cleric and don't regret it at all. All of my creatures currently get every single buff in the game, right at the beginning of the battle with my set up. It's nuts, and I'm only on realm 23. So much fun.
I never considered getting this game at any point but after hearing the classes I am thinking of doing 5 or 6 saves just trying out everything that sounded cool to me XD
Thank you for this guide. I just picked this up on the Switch as it was on sale and I got this for 10 USD. I think I will try the Hell Knight for now as I feel this game is gonna be a mainstay in my Switch. This game looks like it is loads of fun, replay value and heavy grinding.
well story is nothing really its all about the grind and gameplay does get repetitive just like any other game u need to enjoy getting new monster's all the time and progressing in levels to enjoy the game
It's all repetition. It's addictive because you're constantly unlocking things and you're constantly being challenged. Since you're constantly unlocking things, you can constantly make your team better and more synergized than before. So it's basically a loop. Fight and win rewards until you fail, make your team more efficient using those rewards, and try again.
@@arianaeshraghi9462 Agreed the refreshing part is the numerous monster combinations you can create and synergies between them. What sets the game aside from other monster games is the class perks and numerous monster traits put at the players disposal. There is honestly so much freedom with playstyle and you can challenge yourself by putting enemies way over your level. Pretty enjoyable imo
I love the Hell Knight Class which I transformed into a glass cannon. Interestingly enough, I don't use the starter monster. I have two Crusaders and the rest Centaur Rangers. I buffed the speed of the Crusaders so they always go first and cast something. This causes the Centaur Rangers to land two additional hits each which adds up quickly. Combined with the class perks, this setup obliterates even much higher level enemies but again, it's a glass cannon so if they get the jump on me, my party can get cut down quickly.
I like the pyromancer class for sure plus not letting the enemy revive is a cool feature. Hey Ed do you know if there’s a lot of dragon looking monsters in game?
I can think of two whole families or races of dragons in the game and every family consists of at least six creatures. There's wyvern looking ones and chinese dragon looking ones. And the Apocalypse family, of which we saw one member in this video, also look like multi-headed dragons. There's probably even more I'm forgetting right now, but with roughly 1200 unique monsters, it's only logical that a good amount of them are dragons. ^-^ Also keep in mind that there is no traditional evolution in this game, so every monster is equally viable, depending on whether or not you can find a use for their passive trait.
They all sound fun to use. So it's hard to pick. Dodger is my first pick since he look plant like so grass type since I have fallen for nature types in alot of media lol. Next hmm not sure the goblin that get buffs or the animator who is strong depending how many alive or dead they both sound fun gosh is so hard to pick lol
Later on you can unlock more classes, in addition to the other ones on this list you can actually get one, called Grovetender, which gives you a creature sort of like the Animatus, except it's a plant seedling. And then you make it grow into a powerful creature in every battle by casting spells and using attacks with your other creatures.
What are these Uralos critters? They added NEW early game monsters to the Swamplands? 0.o I guess I need to dig up my old save file and try some new builds, I mained Defiler before but these new mons seem to fit better with something that buffs tribes.
