I’ve kept track of my own URs when paid vs unpaid and there’s definitely higher rates with paid (anecdotally).

without a doubt i have never open a paid 10 pack and not got a ur it's pretty much certain to get multiple. i opened 60 free tearlement and i wasn't even close to what i needed opened 40free ishizu got one card i wanted
I got full tearlaments like 2 rows of URs in my first 10 pack pull with free gems so there's my anecdotal experience
I've never noticed a statistical difference in my pulls. We'll never know for sure unless someone inside Konami blows the whistle or the source code gets leaked.
I opened this pack this morning and with just using gems I earned, I got the first 3 UR's from this pack. Just 1 pack. It was great.

@@GrangerZ right the average cost of a deck can be between 7000-12000 gems if you're lucky, which is the equivalent of 140-240 dollars. Doing daily missions and trying your best in ranked could net you, after a week barley a thousand gems with intense grinding. Just do that every day for 2 months straight and you can afford a deck that will either be immediately hit or isn't good enough to even play. Great idea man

I only had this many URs happen once, and it was way back in the Swordsoul DPE selection pack.
I used to roll back luck pulls with the legacy pack to get the rebound effect on the gem ones, but now they changed to a 100-pull which means i can't rng anymore
Whenever I go to chain after update the game scrolls the activated cards text and wastes like 10 seconds its absolutely unplayable on console rn

Yeah I spent 4k free gems on this, got no URs on my first 10pack, no rainbow packs at all, 4 URs total, none of which were the ones I wanted. Not gonna try again with this one.
The very first 10 pack I opened as a F2P player had 5 UR shining packs in it. It ended up being 5 copies of Donner, but I'm still playing F2P just fine.

MD has just become a cash cow with these drop rates. They expect for you to buy gems just to get good pulls.
They even changed the guaranteed UR into guaranteed SR if you paid attention @2:16

I alr have a premade blackwing deck and I loved it. Hopefully the new cards make it more consistent. And I am definitely making Ghoti and Fur Hire decks after I pull some more

Im 100% since the year started and stay consistently 5k gems or more with all the events and free stuff im just waiting for a lot of trap support
Its not a differential between paid and unpaid.
What it would be, is if you spent money your odds went up. Maybe minute (1 to 5 percent increase on 1 percent odds) Maybe just for the day you bought somthing too. But more likly than not, by spending any money your odds of pulling good things goes up. This plays into human psychological needs to win. Right. You pull somthing cool. You go "ah shit i need to keep this going" so you buy more gems.
All gacha gaming works this way.
This is true in all p2w games. I bought all the sales packs up to the 24 dollar ones, and i consistently pull UR every other time i pull. On 1 pack or 10.

Sometime you can buy "free" currency with payed currency, once it's converted that's the exacte same as if you gained it as f2p.

Look, idk about anyone else but when i used my free gems, i got some pretty good URs. Paid was a mixed bag but in my experience, it didnt make much of a difference.
After 11k gems all I got was 4 patrol and 6 naturia bugs...
All I wanted was 1 zealantis, 1 icejade synchri and 1 donner.. collecting gems as a f2p doing dailies and playing 20-50 depending on the behavior of the enemy. Either slow play, thinking on how to break boards or having all your cards negated so your cards dont count as activiated is really time consuming and its really demotivating seeing weeks/months and grinding and saving up to end for some plunder patrol and naturia bug... uninstalled for the meantime...
I spended 2k on this pack, all free gems, I got no urs on the first 1k and got like 3 srs, I was so disappointed and almost leave it as that, but I decided to give it another shot, then, on my second pull, I got a Donner, a Zealantis, the synchro ship, accel syncho and the deep beyond. Probably the second best pull I've ever had after getting the alternative eldlich with just 200 gems.
Btw in the store for the gems, you can see your logs about gems, what you get, and what you spend, and it does make the distinction of whether you have free gems or gems purchased with money (the game always consumes the free ones first), so indeed the game may do a distinction between both gems and give you different rates, honestly, it wouldn't matter to me if they had different rates if it only affects whether you pull a glossy or a royal, I would complain if it changes the drop rates srs an urs.

Spellbound is not good at all when your already have dimensional barrier and can do better and cheaper with the cost of 30SR only. However spellbound can stop including floo and link base type deck as stop them tribute from tribute and link summon. Remember dimensional barrier cannot stop link summon and tribute summon so your f@*k up. But if your used spellbound give them big L back.

F2p player here, I opened packs with 3000 gems and i got 7 URs and got everything i want, which was the icejade and plunder, so its just your luck

Konami can smell what you want... The ishizu pack I spent like 6k only for Konami to give me my hated type.. 3 pebble dogs, 3 Invalid and 3 Gravity. Zero ishizu UR and no Aussa in sight 😢

Dude i opened 9k free gems on 2 packs, I did not get the featured URs, then out of frustration I bought the 1500 gem pack, I opened 10 packs and got the first UR, then I told myself, open single packs of the 2nd UR featured pack, which is access code talker, I got it! To all the “komoney is evil” people, I don’t buy the rigged rares with paid packs I just don’t. I’ve seen so many streamers get fucked so hard after buying a ton of gems and I’ve had some of the best fucking luck on some of my pulls as a f2p (not common dont murder me), you can say what you want but rng is rng and I doubt they did something like that without putting it out as public knowledge cuz I’m p sure that violates a law or something

Always was. It just got more easy to spot now. All new packs always got reduced UR drop and it even scams you like it did to him with 0 pulls.
