I always find it funny when I see any religious poster that says “GOD HATES (fill in the blank”) because God simply isn’t a hateful being. The bible makes it very clear that God loves ALL of his creations, not just the ones his followers deemed to be ‘okay’. John 4:20 y’all.

We need more religious trauma talk in the world. If you're raised in a strict church, may the odds do anything to help you stabilize your idea of reality once you realize the bs you've lived in and around.
I highly recommend the channel “Cults to Consciousness” as they interview people who have left their religions they were raised in, and whether they’re ex-Amish, Mormon, fundamental Christians, etc.; they all have relatable things to speak on and advice to share. On my journey of deconstruction it’s been amazing to learn about other religions and then the similarities in how they try to control us sometimes.

I love when you guys dive deep into deeper topics like this and talk openly about them, especially because you both have experiences in your own life that you can reflect onto. I love informative podcasts (like You're Wrong About and Just the Gist where they cover different phenomena and topics and talk about the societal context around them) and I would love if you guys did more episodes like this! I know your podcast focuses on internet related things, but at least in my opinion, you definitely don't have to worry about restricting yourself to any specific topics! (Also you guys apologise a lot about getting sidetracked and talking for "too long" which is 100% unnecessary imo! I think you're both so interesting to listen to!) Keep it on! I would love to hear even more commentary about the societal and psychological context when it comes to internet phenomena and culture! Things like Tiktok culture and doomscrolling and how being online today can change your world view and behavior because you're so used to the way things are online. Your Mommy Vloggers episode is also one of my favorites! I find the topic of kids online today soo interesting (Ipad kids and stuff). It would also be super interesting to hear how the internet affected you two personally when you were a kid, like Tumblr culture etc. I love this podcast! :) Hope you two have a wonderful week!❤
Kendahl!! Do you still have OCD or severe OCD? I had really bad OCD as a kid & into my teens but as an adult it’s really mild. Occasionally I have periods where it’s a bit worse but no where near as bad as when I was a kid. My point being, every resource I find says OCD will not go away/get better on its own & that my experience is essentially impossible. But if you also had a similar experience with OCD being really bad as a kid & not so bad as an adult maybe it is a thing & I’m just looking at the wrong info. Unless yours is still bad or you got therapy to help it… then I’m still an anomaly apparently. 😂

Search the Schenecker family from Tampa. These assholes protested in front of our school, protested the public mourning, and tried to protest the funeral all because the Schenecker dad (the one whose kids got murdered) was in the military. i have zero empathy for the WBC adults.

Also! I recently came across a post online that suggests that you be kind to door to door missionaries (common in LDS or Mormonism). Don't antagonize the young kids they send to "evangelize" to Mormonism. The point of sending them door to door isn't only missionary work but to humiliate and possibly scare or shock them into not trusting outsiders and only trusting their church. Be kind. Be polite. Give them stuff like bottled water if it is a hot day. Show them that outsiders aren't cruel monsters and they may not retreat further into the Church.
