FILM DESCRIPTION:
On the run in the year 1987, Bumblebee the Autobot seeks refuge in a junkyard in a small California beach town. Charlie, on the brink of turning 18 years old and trying to find her place in the world, soon discovers the battle-scarred and broken Bumblebee. @@TaranisHedgehog that’s because this originally supposed to be Starscream, but they changed it to Blitzwing at the last second. I think they changed it because it didn’t make any sense for him to be Starscream, but I’m not sure if this is correct because I read the reason for the change years ago. I just know that there was a last minute change for sure.

I like how they respect the different sizes of the robots depending on their alt forms. For example: Blitzwing, an F-4, is obviously much bigger than Bee, a Jeep.

While in G1 the decepticons were built to be the military and the autobot everything else in the aligned comtinuity the decepticons were composed mostly by low caste civilians, slaves and the aerial command of Cybertron, while the autobots were composed by high caste, police forces and Cybertron's infantry

I remember when Blitzwing's design was first revealed, many were upset he'd been made into a seeker since he wasn't in G1. But no one seems to be bothered by that anymore, I think fans were just happy to see a Decepticon who actually LOOKED like a Decepticon. Not to mention Blitzwing made a much bigger impact in this short scene than most of the Decepticons in all of Bayformers. And that's coming from me who does love the Bayformers.

This scene alone beats most fight scene in bayverse, it actually shows the characteristics of two bot and how much aerial advantage a Decepticon seeker had against an Autobot scout. This is what I always wanted to see in these movie: two robot tearing each other apart, not how much Bay loves the US army, hot chicks and boom boom.

@@Eternal_Sky_Tardis Okay fair, I've rewatched the first three movie recently and to be honest it wasn't as bad as I thought, I remember I used to get really excited when a the second one comes out because I love the first one so much and I don't hate RoF like a lot of people, but then I got really disappointed with TLK that I don't even care if Unicron is teased. I think the style change is one reason that brought me back, maybe I was hoping to see someone else handling the franchise. I appreciate Bay's effort but he clearly don't want to continue doing this so be great to just end it there.
That's because bay’s style of action is extremely different from Travis kight’s
Micheal bays style gives you the sense that the robots are very big and you can feel the weight of their movements with low cut camera angles
Honestly I really don't think people should compare these movies they have completely different mindsets

Eh Starscream in 1 2 and 3 did the exact same thing, in 1 it was more flamboyant, dude took out 3 F22s then Transformed in midair and dipped slid in the city dropped a bomb, did a backflip and got out.
This was more detailed since we see every part morph properly.

Kinda wish they gave Blitzwing his visor eyes, normal mouth and a colour scheme similar to his G1 counterpart mainly so people would've confuse him for Starscream.
Honestly, I thought he was Ramjet when I saw his paint job, alt mode, fighting style, and even his personality screamed Ramjet right at me. Who knows, they could fix this in the next movie by introducing the actual Blitzwing like how they fixed Devastator after the first Michael Bay movie by saying that while in the first movie it did say the tank Decepticon was Devastator, they said when the next movie came out that it was actually Brawl because that design made sense for that character and not Devastator, which they made into an actual combiner in Revenge of the Fallen.

They never explicitly say his name in the film so if the reboot goes well they will probably bring him back in a more g1 look. I think the made him look like starscream so they could have "starscream" in their movie without actually killing starscream off. I agree they should have made it someone else though like it wouldve been great if he was ramjet.
I love how shatter and dropkick have the patience during the interrogation scene waiting for answers while Blitzwing straight ripped out your voicebox if you don't talk.

I’d say this film wasn’t good nor bad, I can see all the potential it brings but with a low budget this movie was mediocre at most. The plot felt a bit off to me but it was the greatest it could be with the money given to the director

Yo. I love Blitzwing's design too. The filmmakers in this movie nailed the looks of all of the Transformers. What makes Blitzwing's design G1 is the little vent thingys on the sides of his head and on top, along with the square-ish shape to head. And the way the wings point up and all that. It's just cool with how all of it looks. But damn, the voice they gave Blitzwing too is freaking menacing. I'd say it's more menacing than Hugo Weaving's voice for Megatron. Mainly because Blitzwing in this little fight was actually threatening.

The most impressive thing about this movie is the fact that Bee managed to kill three decepticons on his own.
Normally in a transformer movie it takes about two or three Autobots to kills one decepticon. Unless that autobot is Optimus.

I love their sizes, it really keeps in mind mass changes. Like Blitzwing is twice bumblebees size and he uses that to his advantage by slamming into him in the fight. Bumblee bee knows this so he goes for Blitzwing's thrusters and takes them out. Shows how good the choreography is!

This scene makes me think Bumblebee maybe isn’t that competent of a fighter. He literally has every opportunity to stab Blitzwing through the head and just doesn’t, instead going for his thrusters and intakes.
I mean by Cybertron standards, he is fairly young. And as a scout, he probably only had basic combat training to defend himself.

I'm personally hoping it is either partially repaired or he gets a new one where Bumblebee is voiced by Dan Gilvezan, the G1 Bumblebee voice actor. He has been very active in the fandom, and even wrote a book, "Bumblebee and Me" about his experiences voicing the character. He even auditioned for 2007 Transformers Bumblebee!

Blitzwing has to be one of my favourite transformers movie designs. He’s the perfect blend of the Bayverse mechanical realistic design and classic Transformers. This looks like what a real transforming robot alien would look like while still looking like a transformer.

It was probably originally supposed to be Starscream. The line ‘now you’ll die *screaming*’ basically proves that it was a rushed change. The movie never even says the name blitzwing which tells me they had the actor for Bumblebee say his lines for when he was fighting Starscream however they wanted an early movie deception death so Starscream needed to live. This lead to the design being inaccurate to Blitzwing. This also meant the dialogue where Bumblebee says Starscream’s name had to go Unused and because they didn’t want to pay for the voice actor to do more lines, they decided to just cut the name entirely. Just a theory tho.

Only problem with that is that this character died even in early test screenings before he was announced as Blitzwing. And since this was originally meant as a prequel to Bayverse, where Starscream was alive, it was never meant to be Starscream.

I was so dismissive of TF movies after the last several that I assumed this one would have similar flaws, but the designs here look a lot more reasonable and the fight sounds are perfect.
I really like the Bayverse designs imo because of they're more organic look and feel whereas Knightverse/g1 is more stylistic and blocky.

Honestly my least favourite thing about this movie is how Blitzwing, a trip,e changing son of a gun is now just an opening bot who doesn’t even remotely look like any of his carnations and doesn’t even have his tank mode
KidDelta 101 in the first Bay movie Devastator was a tank, but they changed him to Brawl so they could have the Constructicons in the second movie. Hopefully they’ll say he’s someone else so triple changer blitzwing can be in the sequel.

As far as I know, this is one of the only transformers ever to use the McDonnell Douglas F-4C/D Phantom II as his alternate mode. Now, we need an F-8 Crusader, F-105 Thunderchief, and F-104 Starfighter...
I'd love to see an A-10 that uses the twin engines as cannons.
There were a few toys based off the phantom back when. Also this is actually the F4C if I'm not mistaken. Notice the shorter nose and the fact its missing the 20mm under the nose. Still though, very nice to have a phantom on the big screen

When I saw the teaser trailer, I thought that was Starscream.
His colors and mode threw me off for a second and made me think he was starscream , maybe if they used his tank form and changed his colors up a bit then it would be more obvious

What I love about the film is how they presented the transformers as how they should be unlike the ones in the michael bay films that die from small bullets and other idiotic things that shouldn't be able to easily kill them.
You can damage a car with bulets and damage metal and bullets move fast they just break everything

@@moonwhooper it is clearly demonstrated that they need specialised bullets, if you look back at the 07 film, you can see lennox and his team figure out that they need the same rounds an A-10 uses on tanks, which melt the steel, and they also use those rounds in tandem with rockets, and as the movies progress the humans start getting more and more transformer killing tech, or ways to kill em, like in dark of the moon where they implant explosives, or snipe a 'cons eye out and... more explosives (cause its a Michael Bay film) but they are very effective
The fact they gave each and everyone have their original color is really amazing. They were all silver in the Bay movies and I couldn’t even tell who was beating who so I just enjoyed their grunts and moans
