I want to thank you for an honest review without hating on it for clout and views, I absolutely love her and this album. I care not for hate on everything she does, it’s pretty forced to put it out there. She’s an amazing force as an artist. I believe that garish house is her own home in California by the way. It’s beautiful!!
I love the album and really enjoyed the movie, especially the cherography. Some people have a dislike for her because she continues to be relevant in spite of not being a great vocalist. She knows how to put on a show and is a damn good entertainer.
I honestly don't get the hate either, and No, she hasn't done anything whatsoever, she hasn't said anything or done anything, this hate is coming from nowhere, they say she can't sing or her voice is weak, but so do many other artists who are extremely popular. It's such bs, she doesn't deserve any of this.
I don't get it either. Especially since many popular musician these days(most notably men) never get even a fraction of this kind of scrutiny on their vocals.
I loved the album tbh.
Me too, the song Broken Like Me is beautiful.
This album is great! It sounds amazing and I’m loving all the songs ❤
This is probably one of her best albums. It’s time to give J’Lo her much deserved flowers. She’s an icon.
I’ve been a jlo fan since I can remember, I’m a 96 baby, her movies and music have been in my life always prob since I’m Puerto Rican, this is one of my favorite albums of her easily!!!❤
❤❤❤❤
I would argue her voice has improved in the last 10 years. People just want to hate and say she can’t sing at all, I think that’s an extreme statement. People can say others can sing even when they don’t sing like vocalists
This artist literally works her ads off In EVERYTHING she does. She is a strong empowered woman in a man's world and they should respect her. The message she wants to put out is love yourself and don't take crap from anyone. As for her the people in her life they are All loved by her and supported by her. Jlo you are blessed and there are so many people that love you.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Loved the movie and doc. Just love yourself and others and be strong and empowered. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Best project she has done! I love it
People literally hate on her just because she is confident and looks good.
It’s such a great album. Every song hits and helps you understand the path taken to get to this point in her life and career. I honestly think people need to see the film in order to understand the album. Either way both are trending #1 in over 50 countries
I loved this honest review 😭🤌🏽
One of her best projects. Love many songs
Yep, a great project all together
Thank you! I love JLo, and this is so her lane
I think it's great R&B record, a great sequel to This is me...Then. Her best record tbh. BUT, it's not what she needed at this moment in music. She really needed her Cher "Believe" moment. Like, no one really wants a R&B record from a pop girly. Not even Beyonce is doing it. Ariana did house/pop for her new song, and it's working for her. Also, she needs to pay Europe some attention as they are much forgiving of older pop starts, it's what Madonna did for her Confessions on the Dance Floor record. I really enjoyed her film, and I think musicals might be an interesting avenue for more music.
This is a great point.
People think that On the Floor was his last hit but "Dinero" and "El Anillo" were HUGEEEEEE HITS in Latin America and Spanish-speaking countries. "El Anillo" is part of popular culture, if you mention the chorus phrase anyone knows what you mean
Exactly! Ni Tu Ni Yo also has over 100 Millions streams on Spotify. She should really do more Spanish music.
It was legit her last BILLBOARD hit
Im feeling her new album and i enjoyed the movie.
MELODY AND LYRIC is where it's at. We need this kind of music today
I love not going anywhere 😭
This review is amazing 😻
I am loving every bit of the this is me now experience. wish i had $4k to throw at meet and greet front row. but maybe another lifetime.
Definitely like it more than caution tbh
I love the Apple Music live is incredible ❤ also my favorite are probably dear Ben and broken like me ❤
Best album that's been released in the past 5 years
You're delusional!
Totally agree ❤
by JLo, you mean? 🤣
@@wintherr3527 yea and overall because no artist has a strong message in their album lately Shakira and Ariana and Beyonce just doing normal music for their album just like this Beyonce wants to try country and Ariana nobody knows what her first single is about and Shakira just want to make music but jlo had miracle happens to her life and she wrote it in her album and a message true love do exist
I just want to address why the Spanish may not have worked out. Jlo is actually not fluent in Spanish and never really took time to cultivate that market. Becky G is not fluent either technically but her whole career is based in that market. Even Selena was weak in Spanish, but again her market was in Spanish. Jlo is not as big over there. They have Ivy Queen, a fellow Boriqua also from NYC. But made her career in Spanish. And is fully bilingual. She simply isn't as popular in the Spanish speaking Latino market. And there are more popular new generation Latinas that outshine her. Hope that helps!
I agree with you! I'm really happy with this album. You can tell that it came from genuine inspiration. Not her trying to follow trends. She simply wanted to make music and with that and with the producers that she worked with, I think it turned out to be a beautiful blend of 90s and early 2000s hip-hop/ r&b... yet, it still sounds/ feels modern day. Don't know how they managed to do that. But, it truly sounds like a timeless record.
Whaaaaaattt!? not. going. anywere. is SO good!!! It's one of my highlights. I agree about Mad in Love though... I feel like it essentially says the same thing that Can' Get Enough does so I don't think we needed it.
Love all the songs on album this is me now havent seen the movie only previews
Her best album since LOVE ?
Very honest and fair review
“This is me then,” sounds wrong. Most people would say, “this WAS me then.”
The budget didn’t include background singer aka no Ashanti, Christina millian, Natasha Ramos, usher, brandy etc.😊
I love this! Thank you!
Fair analysis!
I am never watching the movie; am avoiding getting PTSD; got one watching the "Book of Life" animated movie yrs back lol!!😂😂😂
"Leaving Las Vegas vIBES"= Benifer 2.0. Am I the only one to see this??
Omg for me spot on review!! ❤
I would def put Beyonce in the "pop performer" category before calling her a true vocalist but I also recognize that's probably an unpopular opinion (or one that few ppl are willing to admit, lol)
i stopped listening the moment you said this album was better than Mariah’s Caution, lol WTF?! 😂😂
The criticism she's getting recently is because it's been exposed that she has been stealing other artists songs and even using their vocals on most of her most popular songs. Ashanti and Christina Milian have talked about it. The girl who sang Jenny From the Block just recently came out. So people are feeling like her music career is fraudulent and she Milli Vanillied her way to the top. 💀💀💀💀🤷🏽♀
“This isn’t meant to be a competition” right after putting this album against Mariah’s caution… lol ok. 🙄
I only threw that in there because I was seeing a LOT of folks on twitter claiming Caution was better and just wanted to share my opinion...
they are both middle aged women desperately trying to remain relevant, so the comparison is inevitable
@@wintherr3527 that’s literally not true. Mariah’s 2023 tour SOLD OUT and her current Vegas residency is almost sold out…
It‘s become fashionable to hate her, people jump on bandwagons because they’re sheep. Many are stupidly young and are unfamiliar with her career. She may not have the strongest voice but you have to admire how much she has improved vocally compared to other pop stars. She is a beast on stage and compared to the majority of artists, no one can put on a show like JLo. She has achieved so much and you can’t look back at the early - mid 2000s and not think of JLo. The album is so nostalgic but also fresh and new, it’s not only a love letter to Ben but to us fans who have been following her since day 1.
*"Glass Mansions" = 'People Who Live In Glass Houses Shouldn't Throw Stones'.* 🏢🪨💨
I am never watching the movie; am avoiding getting PTSD; got one watching the "Book of Life" animated movie yrs back lol!!😂😂😂
