    I Love how easy this ruclips.net/user/postUgkxvAj3godqGAIP5rApM1laH767JGtPG1-h carrier is to adjust from my friend to me taking turns holding the baby! It provides great support on my back too! This has definitely made shopping easier! I always get asked where I get it too!

    You threw me off there with the 30 weeks pregnant, lol you definitely don’t look it!! This video was incredibly helpful! I’ve always used baby carrier’s with my babies and first time using a sling and all I find is newborn videos but not a lot of toddler videos. So this was very helpful as I have an 18 month old and trying out a sling!

    thank you!! I am pregnant and my toddler randomly likes to be carried when walking and I didn't want to buy another expensive carrier. This showed me how I could use my ring sling!! thank you!

    Roman is such a sweetie!! My baby is the same age and had never liked being worn no matter what we have tried. You can tell he loves it though!

      Amanda Padgett - it took a looooooong time to get him to love it! But now he get gets really excited. He even got excited when Nicole was her visiting me. I helped show her how to put a ring sling on, and Roman ran to her to get it in! Lol

    Love this! Thanks for the refresher! I hip carried my 1st toddler when I was pregnant with my second - my son named Roman! Now, I'm pregnant with #3 and needed a reminder on hip carrying, so I can do so with my Roman, now. 💙

    Awesome video! Very helpful. My toddler loves being in structured carriers, but I've struggled getting him to cooperate with me to get him in the ring sling. I'm going to try this method and give it another shot. THanks!!!!

    Thanks for the video! I've just started wearing my youngest on the hip now that I'm carrying him that way more often. It was interesting to see you put your son in the sling this way. I haven't seen anyone do it that way. I'll have to remember this for in the future. I always feel like I've got my rings too low by the time my son is tightened in. But after watching your video I have a feeling it just looks that way from my point of view. I think I'll have to adjust my son and look in the mirror next time.

      @Amberwardell  6 лет назад

      Kaity Jene - yeah, my way is definitely not the way most people do it. But the "normal" way of putting him over my shoulder and lowering him in doesn't work for us. He gets very scared and upset, which becomes dangerous for him bc he starts kicking and flailing! Yikes! lol. So we had to come up with another way. Definitely give it a try. It works great for us! As for the rings, mine sometimes come down really low, too. But I think you're right that it looks worse from our perspective than it actually is

    Great video - i really preferred you talking it through. Roman was so good for you and such a cutie! I am thinking of trying this with Clara every now and then as she won't sit in a stroller anymore but gets tired walking around sometimes. Do you think this would work find this way for a just over 2 yr old?

    Is this basically the same way I could hip wear my 7 month old? I've only used full buckle carriers since he's been bigger. We used to front carry with the ring sling.

    I know this video was posted a while ago but I'm currently looking at getting a ring sling for my 18 month old because I'm struggling to carry him while I'm also 30 weeks pregnant. How is it comfort wise carrying your toddler in one of these types of sling while you're further along in your pregnancy?

  • @PaganGoddess777

    My problem is getting the fabric threaded thru the rings correctly and pulling. Also i don't think my ring sling is soft enough. Its by soul sling sold on 5mr

    • @Amberwardell
      @Amberwardell  6 лет назад

      Natalie Rivera - I love my Soul Slings ring sling, but I agree with you that it's a little stiffer. This Tekhni came out of the wash REALLY soft, which helped a lot. Have you tried washing your Soul Sling in Seventh Generation Free and Clear for Sensitive Skin? I've found it does a great job softening wraps and slings!

    Great video, Amber. I am recently considering a ring sling as an alternative to my existing Ergo 360. I have heard mixed review about comfort level of the sling in comparison to a SSC as the ring sling is only supported on one shoulder. Do you think the backache may be due to incorrect use? I have a 3 month old at the moment but the idea is to baby wear him for a bit longer as he only sleeps on me and I still need to get chores done.

    Great video. Am considering using a ringsling instead of backcarrying, but have been using a Kokadi carrier until now. Could you give my pointers for buying a ringsling?

    Hi... What weight is Roman roughly in this video (love his name btw)? My toddler is 26months and about 26lbs now. I find him so heavy now and loved using my sling when he was a bit smaller but stopped a few months now and want to use again. Thinking back wearing?

  • @emilyeshraghi8197

    Super helpful! How do you take a child out once they're in? Also, do you have to readjust the rings every time?

    • @Amberwardell
      @Amberwardell  6 лет назад +1

      Emily Eshraghi getting him out is super easy! I'll make a quick video soon. But basically you just support baby's weight with your hand under his bum, and then grab the rings and pull down to loosen them. Then you can just lower baby down to the floor, bed, or couch. With Roman I just lower him down to where he is standing. But before he could stand on his own I lowered him into his back on a bed or sofa.

    Is this the only way you wear him?

    • @Amberwardell
      @Amberwardell  6 лет назад

      In a ring sling, yes. As an infant, I carried him in the ring sling in the front of my body, but now that he is a toddler I carry him exclusively on my hip in a sling. But I also use onbuhimos, full buckle carriers, and woven wraps, which allow me to carry him on my front of back, depending on my needs.
