Nice! The two darker pedals were my favorites of the bunch; as you said the darkness really lets you turn up the mix knob without the (sometimes cheesy) delay and mod sounds getting in the way. Really liked how the modulation on the RubberNeck sounded with the chords though!
The Rubberneck is a sleeper hit. Mod speed/depth, tone/gain, divisions, trails, 1.5s delay, double or half speed switch, oscillation switch, tap tempo, fx loop. All analog and it doesn’t break the bank. I love mine
Thanks for another great video, Pete. I've just started putting my pedal board together after using a Fender Mustang IIIv2 for awhile. I'm looking forward to trying all kinds of new sounds.
Great as usual. Man, I am from Brazil, you have helped me a lot. Great tone, good performance. I missed the Ibanez AD9 but it is ok with the waza. Thank you again.
I always loved Analog Delays. ( for me ) They sit better and Stay-Back in the mix. On my Boss DD-500 - I have some nice dark Analog Delays for Verses & Chorus and use brighter Tape Delay's for Solo's. ( however ) I would take any of these pedals, ( all sound true-to-form ) but the 24v Memory Man - just has that extra something.
Great review Pete. I am going to get the MXR for my cello, since it is darker toned. I believe the Mod used on this video for MXR is bit much for cello tone accuracy, but it can be swictched off.
I was just going to pull the trigger on the DM2w, already having the DOD and the difference was so small, I preferred the tone of my DOD. The other good ones were Memory Man and Carbon Copy
Always love listening to your guitar riffs and choices... Giveaway or not! I'm seeing Pete Thorn and I'm hearing Oasis! Also, some miniscule RHCP in there as well. Sweetwater is the best, but they always check-in with me at the most inconvenient times! 🤔
Been through dozens and that MXR is simple and part of my bread and butter. Hey i have that Exotic XP compressor...!!!! That supa-puss has an incredible amount of headroom it seems.
So... promotion not available in Canada?? Sweetwater certainly deals with Canada when I’m purchasing from them! Pete Thorn, you still rock! Keep doing what you’re doing my fellow Canadian!
I always buy from Sweetwater (have a credit card from them).. The pedals all have nice tones.... For your part in that song, obviously some modulation is the way to go. The one with (whacky) modulation fits best... But they all sound great. As they say, good sounding in, good sounding out. Crap in, crap out. Rock on Pete.
Great video, Pete! Since I missed the deadline for the giveaway, I'll just chime in with my two cents on the pedals. They all sound great, of course, but I preferred the general tone of the MXR in this video. It sat in the mix the best, but also added a certain sweetness to the overall tone. The EHX was my favorite for feedback manipulation, easily. Now, perhaps you can get similar manipulation with the others, and it may be that you're simply more used to the DMM, but it sounded so cool with the repeats cranked. I was most disappointed with the Waza and the Way Huge. Both sounded good but didn't really add much to the tone. As for the DOD, it is a great pedal, but it wasn't as good in this demo as the MXR and EHX in my opinion.
Hey Pete, glad you chose to do delays, 'cause I'm pretty much OD'd on OD reviews. For me, the Memory Man seemed best suited to the interlude you played. It enhanced the pattern without drawing too much attention to itself as an effect. Guess it's time to dig my original MM out of the back closet. It needs a repair. Is EHX still fixing vintage equipment?
HEY PETE! i would love for you to demo the hudson sidecar there are a few reviews of it but i think there is more to it than what has been shown so far.i LOVE mine!
Hi Pete, when you connect the Vox to the OX how do you dis active the speaker? How do you connect it, from which exit? Please care, when you open packs move the knife in the opposite way you do! So you won't get injured!
Deluxe Memory Man - every guitarist should own one. Even the current "xo" version (as shown here) sounds absolutely incredible. It's the king of all analog delays.
Nic vid Pete, sadly promotion not available in the UK. Maybe you could hook something up with Anderson’s / Peach Guitars or similar in the future? Cheers
@@mattgilbert7347 I had one of my brothers solder the one thing out that opens the mix knob up, but you can contact Dunlop and have them do it for you too. Highly highly recommend doing it. Great sounding pedal, just needs the mix knob sorted.
@@Simto Unfortunately I can't solder and don't know anyone who I would trust to do it. I have gotten decent results with it. Probably my 3rd favorite delay - 1) T Rex Replica, 2) Empress Tape Delay, and 3) is the Way Huge SP. For a basic, no frills analog delay I love the Maxon AD-9 Pro.
Perfect timing for me, need new analog delay. I admit the supa puss head to head my choice! Adds to your playing not over powering the rest of the guitar tones. Off to Sweetwater I go. Thanks to you and Sweetwater.
yay I would love either one, DOD was my favorite of these demod though. So tasty, I just got your Tone Prints Pete installed in my HOF2 that is my first Real Reverb pedal evar.
Woo! 25 entries. That gives me (as of this moment) a 0.1% chance of winning, with 6 days left. At least I got to listen to some sweet Pete Thorn riffs, even if there's no way I'm gonna win the DOD. (=
That was a solid shootout on just showing the depth of tones each pedal produces. Great video!
Damn! I never thought they could sound so different among themselves. My favourite tone came from Supa Puss, but they're all great! Thanks Pete!
Love your all your videos Pete, the side by side comparisons are great videos. Excited for more! Congrats on the new studio too, looks beautiful

Love mine too. Amazing delay pedal and you are right it's a big sleeper. Such cool and unique sounding pedal.
Great video, Pete. They all sound good but the MemoryMan and RubberNeck sound great!
Bought the DOD in October and I really still love it. Super cool sounding pedal.
I always loved Analog Delays. ( for me ) They sit better and Stay-Back in the mix. ( however ) I would take any of these pedals, ( all sound true-to-form ) but the 24v Memory Man - just has that extra something.
Never played through a Memory Man before but it sounded tops to me. A very musical pedal. Great video, Pete
I'm currently digging the rubberneck neck, great sounding with a couple of neccessary functions without being to deep
Great as always...thanks for the demo Pete.
Great review Pete. I am going to get the MXR for my cello, since it is darker toned. I believe the Mod used on this video for MXR is bit much for cello tone accuracy, but it can be swictched off.
Great song to show off the subtle, and sometimes no so subtle, differences. As always great video!

The DM-2 for me is the most beautiful souding

Fantastic video - thanks, Pete!
I'm buying you a personalized box cutter for your birthday.
lol
Go at it with a dull key! Primitive!!!!
@@PeteThorn That's definitely analog. ;)
@@PeteThorn That's my usual method...lol
The DOD, definitely.
So... promotion not available in Canada?? Sweetwater certainly deals with Canada when I’m purchasing from them!

I like the Ernie Ball shirt. My brother used to work at the shop in SLO. As always, great review man.
They're all brilliant analog delay pedals but the DOD Rubberneck really shines!
I love Sweetwater I stopped in there while I was on the road and my sales rep gave me a freaking tour!
All sounded great, liked the Supa Puss the best.
Memory Man
No questions asked for this particular
Piece of music IMHO
I wasn't expecting this, but I think I kinda liked the Deluxe Memory Man the best.

All the pedals were great, but to my ear the MXR was sublime.

I can't enter from here Sweetwater don't deal with my region. That sucks balls
I can't enter either since I already subscribe to both. The new people get all the bennies...lol
GuitAural I’ve never understood the reason of that restriction. If I won a cool pedal like that I’d gladly pay shipping!
Love the tune. Great stuff!
You should come to sweetwater and do some sort of class! We would love to see you here in the Fort!
Happy New Year Everyone !
Good Luck To Those That Enter !
Sweet! You're the best, Pete.
I hear what you mean about the memory man ,being a cleaner analog tone .I like it the best
Not available for Canada.
Daaaang oh well
Love the DM2W on this and your in depth video on it
HEY PETE! i would love for you to demo the hudson sidecar there are a few reviews of it but i think there is more to it than what has been shown so far.i LOVE mine!
Genial! Me gustaría ver un video referido a cómo se pueden combinar los delays entre si. Saludos!
All great pedals, you make them sound awesome!
It is a toss up between the DOD and the Way Huge for me. I want the all, LOL !!!
Really surprised by the Dod and the Way Huge, really great sounding delays!
The two best sounding after the EHX imo
The DoD was my favorite but I’m a guy EHX through and through.
5 amazing pedals. For my taste i chose MXR. Best.
Coffee first always. Pete, my man! You just get me
I think I liked the Rubberneck the best, thought it would be the dm-2w but something about the warble on the rubberneck was really fitting.
Rubberneck is extremely versatile. I really love it actually. Probably one of the most versatile civet analog delays made, ever
They have been $150 lately, see if you can snag a deal somewhere still!
Gorgeous tele!
Rubberneck sounds so good!
Have the OG Carbon Copy and the Rubberneck. Both great
I got the DOD a couple days ago. They run sales at $150 for them quite often. At $150, it's a steal with all the cool features.
I would love it if they still did sales like that. Seems like a great pedal!
Hi Pete, when you connect the Vox to the OX how do you dis active the speaker? How do you connect it, from which exit? Please care, when you open packs move the knife in the opposite way you do! So you won't get injured!
I would like to see this fully developed into a song
Deluxe Memory Man - every guitarist should own one. Even the current "xo" version (as shown here) sounds absolutely incredible. It's the king of all analog delays.
Great demo as always, i'd love to win one ...but I come from a land downunder!..maybe next time
Dm-2w...yeah!
Always the Best Sir. Appreciate Everything You Do Sir. Thank You 😊
All the Electro Harmonix memory delays are incredible
Love the new space. Looks a little like Steve from Boston’s basement!
They all sound golden PT 🤘
Can't enter UK, oh well, you still make the best demo's around!
Hey Pete, will you do a Review of the BluBox in the Backround?
Nic vid Pete, sadly promotion not available in the UK. Maybe you could hook something up with Anderson’s / Peach Guitars or similar in the future? Cheers
I’d be happy to
I too, Love the bag of candy. love sweet water
Love this
Forget the delays - CANDY!
Supa-Puss is an awesome and overlooked pedal.
I'd recommend having the mix knob mod done though so you can use it more subtly.
Highly recommend it.
Where can I get that done for mine?
@@mattgilbert7347 I had one of my brothers solder the one thing out that opens the mix knob up, but you can contact Dunlop and have them do it for you too. Highly highly recommend doing it. Great sounding pedal, just needs the mix knob sorted.
@@Simto I read that the later ones have the mod already done. So effectively, there's a V1 & V2.

But am considering the Rubberneck!
Nice video, I wouldn't mind any stereo delay left over 😉
Perfect timing for me, need new analog delay. I admit the supa puss head to head my choice! Adds to your playing not over powering the rest of the guitar tones. Off to Sweetwater I go.
Thanks to you and Sweetwater.
finally a giveaway I notice in time ... but it's US only and damn you are givin away a Rubberneck :Cccc
yay I would love either one, DOD was my favorite of these demod though. So tasty, I just got your Tone Prints Pete installed in my HOF2 that is my first Real Reverb pedal evar.
Carbon Copy modulation is adjustable, not fixed.
But first ¡¡¡ ... coffee.... hahaha, you remind me of someone ¡¡ Great video, Carbon Copy is my favorite delay ¡ Thanks ¡
that pedal show always talk about preamp sounds. a shoot out of the in built preamps in these would be cool
Cool theme!
Does the Memory Man boost the volumen like Memory Toy does?
Woo! 25 entries. That gives me (as of this moment) a 0.1% chance of winning, with 6 days left. At least I got to listen to some sweet Pete Thorn riffs, even if there's no way I'm gonna win the DOD. (=
Loved the music
I buy all kinds of Gibson parts and pedals from Myran over there at Sweetwater
ha nespresso fan try vertuo amazing smooth cofee the waza my fav 80's man 80's da best
Pete I knew you would fall to the unboxing gods
Hahhaha
I know right? I occasionally do it but always point out that it’s specifically for pinheads under 30
Hi Pete, wanted to participate but my region (India) is not allowed.
We need a demo on the new Suhr RL IR!!
Youre the man bro!
Great video. More like that.
Hi, Pete. I prefer the memory man. Do you know the T-rex reptile 2 ?
Should be 5 bags of candy!!
Alexander Acker agreed!
Great demo. Are you going to sign the giveaway delay pedal?
Not available in France....Snif...But I wish you the best !
Great review as always!
Canada not included :-/ in the giveaway
not available in Canada : (
It appears the competition is not open to longtime subscibers from the UK!!
Ok this riff is so mindblowing...please someone tell me the title of the song!!
And one more gem from Pete... 😄
Darn it. Not available in "my region" - Canada. Why? I've purchased stuff from Sweetwater before! Not fair!
Pedal demos were awesome however.
I can't participate, because of my region..so sad..😥😥, But thank you for your support for us, as a guitar player, God bless you 😇😇😇
Dibs on the DOD!!! 😆
They all sound great. Could just be your playing though.
The Bit O Honey is my favorite.
