Not everyone is a chad at rust and can snowball on a main vanilla server during their 4-5 hours free a night or w.e, plus thats more for content makers then actual players, no shade to people who do that obviously. I like mixing a little modded on off-wipe schedules since they always wipe more frequently then the non-modded servers, which are higher priority for forced wipes. keeps things a little fresh tbh. at 6k hours so it can get stale.

I actually just bought Rust a few days ago. Got like.. 20-30hrs in it, and playing on a PvE server to get a good feel for the game. I've got a small amount of play time, but like 7-8000+ hours watched. But playing and watching are day and night different. Luckily the watch time has given me a good understanding of the game, so I'm not going in blind. The PvE servers are great, because people are really friendly and helpful to new players. I'll have to check out your servers, Spoon. GG man!
I’ve got 2000+ hours and stopped playing after the last recoil change. When you have 100+ hours just on AK recoil serves and they just change it is when I had enough. But yeah videos don’t come close to comparing the actual grind this game has and when you steal someone’s loot that took days to acquire, it gives an insane adrenaline rush. As a new player I will give you the two rules for rust. Rule one: you can spell rust with trust, but you can’t spell trust with rust. Rule two: no gear fear. Use what you have to snowball. Don’t be afraid to lose gear.
What I dont like about modded is like you said, it's a lot more than the listed modifier. It says 2x, but one green crate gave 6 rifle bodies, custom, 15 tech trash, 7 sheet metal, 3 computers and a kilt, thats like 10x regular green crate lmao
Modded is great for me who traditional loves more passive aspects like farming and being a shop keep stuff and this allows me enjoy all of rust PvE aspects without worrying about being raided everyday as a noobly solo lol

I like the idea of a fan boy challenge, where it’s almost a speedrun of how fast you can get recognized on different servers. To make it more interesting playing it as a competition either other people.
Upon only hearing the intro, my response to increased gathering rates (2x) is that it feels much better and is not too game-breaking. This is from my experience with Ark Survival Evolved, and each time the rates were slightly boosted in that game, it just allowed for more of what you enjoyed :)
I would love to see you play a server like konfuzions cobalt island.. I always loved his videos showing off weird and funny bases you could build on that server..
A 2x server can feel like a 20x because it makes guns and ammo 20x easier. an uncommon brown crate has a revvy instead of a rare. That's huge Edit: I stand corrected, it's a (2*)x server lol
