I'm late to this party, but how beautiful!!!! I literally teared up while watching. You guys are awesome parents and very talented 👏 Your kiddos might not fully understand the sacrifice, but they will always remember the love they feel from being in this room. Job WELL DONE ✔️
That turned out great! The wall climbers, the very grown up bathroom, the bunks.😎👍 My favorite has to be Ella's desk room, it's like a minature office. So cute. When I was a kid, climbing the wall and having my own office would have been amazing. To make school work more bearable I used to make believe I was a secretary working in an office. Doing homework in Ella's office would have been so much fun. Hope they have a blast. Good job with the decorating and the build Mom and Dad.👍 Love y'all😘💖🐾💖
Thank you so much! The kids love it so much! I really can’t wait for you to see the rest of the RV! I think you’ll like it! Hope you’re doing well!! Xo
This is by FAR the best kid’s bunk room I have seen!! Kudos to y’all. I wish we were this skilled to build those amazing bunks. Alas, I’ll just have to use some of the decorating tips. :)
Thank you for the kind words Kimm! The Amish are skilled. I just had access to the right tools! Now Christian IS very skilled with her decorating. It was difficult to listen to her ideas, because it made zero sense - I’m thinking specifically painting the stairs and kitchen island green - but I think she did a great job. We really love how everything turned out! What kind of RV do you have?
Project Trek I loved the stairs! We don’t have one yet but are highly considering going full time for a year or so within the year. I’m watching others to see how we can make it work for our son and be cozy and functional like home.
Awwww the best reaction ever. They are just to stinkin cute. The looks on their faces was priceless. And you guys did an amazing job on that bunk room.
Omg we are obsessed with your bunkroom! We just put a deposit down on this model. It checked ALL of our boxes! We were wondering how well the bunks and rock wall have been holding up. Also, do you have any suggestions on how or what we could use in the living room space to fit a desk, table and couch or some type of seating? Thank you for your videos, were excited to start this journey!
The rock wall is solid. The plywood facing is tapped into the aluminum framing of the slide. I can climb on it with zero issues. We have our couch and 4-person dinner table in the living room, but it’s a little crammed. Not terrible, but sometimes awkward to squeeze into the chairs.
@@ProjectTrek Apparently, I asked the wrong question lol. How are the slides holding up with the weight of the bunks? Do you travel often and move them in and out or are they mostly stationary with no movement? Thank you for your help!
They hold up great! We move every week bringing them in/out and they’re fine. The sofas they had their before were VERY heavy. We didn’t add much weight, if any to the slide.
I have the same RV and I’m interested in how you did the wood border on your slide outs that have a slight curve at the top? What size wood did you use?
8x1 Pine board from the big box store. Because the curve is so shallow over such a long distance the board forms to the curvature with very little effort. I reused the self-tapping metal screws that held in the factory trim. It’s nice because if I ever need to service the slide mechanism I can easily remove the new trim.
Hey Elizabeth, which screw specifically we’re you asking about? The screws holding the facing onto the bunks, or the screws for the bed supports? Or maybe give me a time stamp of the video to show me which screw you’re referring to.
Hey guys!! So I’ve been searching and searching for the same model open range and I can’t find one with the bunkhouse with the 2 dressers like the way you have it?? Was the a mod from a previous owner or am I searching wrong?
The dressers up front are stock from the factory, we just removed the bank of drawers & the mini fridge that was between the 2 dressers. Maybe that’s why it looks different? I’m sure you know, but just for reference this is a 2016 Open Range 376FBH, made by Highland Ridge.

Those are very kind words Keisha! Thanks so much for brightening my day!
Ella! How DID you get SUCH GOOD PARENTS!?!? Thank GOD, and your Grandparents :) You're the sweetest little, grateful girlie! How nice!
“A mirror and EVERYTHING???” Omg 😭❤️
🤣🤣🤣
The rock stairs are next level
Thanks! Our son loves them. Our daughter recently took up rock climbing, so we might need to add more…
Oh my goodness. They are so cute. I love how happy this made them.
2 years into this build and they still love it! Every time we consider a newer rig they say they want to stay in ours. 🤣
WELL DONE! The kids reactions to their new room got me teary eyed! What a beautiful family. Blessings to you guys.
Omg. I’m floored by Nates talent with creating and remodeling then Christians beautiful decorating!! Phenomenal job!
Thank you so much! We had a really great time surprising them! It’s amazing what you can do in small spaces!

Hey Chris! It's Kelly G from high school! Look at you go!! Miss you and the ol Braun's ice cream days! Love what you've got going on!

It seems like a huge leap, but once you do it, you’ll wonder why you took so long. Or at least that’s how we get about it, haha!
*how we FELT about it
Project Trek I hear that a lot. We aren’t even campers!! I can’t believe we’re exploring it but I’m excited.
Such sweet kiddos! 😍 I love how grateful they are! 😍 Great job, mom & dad! The room looks fantastic! 👏👏👍

When your little girl said “how did we get such good parents I tested up.
Reared up
We recently floated the idea of possibly getting a different RV and the kids said NO! They like their bunkroom too much!
What model is this? How awesome you guys did amazing
Thanks so much! It’s a Highland Ridge, 2016 Open Range 376FBH.

how did you mount wood to steel backing? anchors or screws?
Self tapping screws. Very solid.
