Your typical stock ratios are around 3.73 to 1 or 4.10 to 1, pretty standard. But if you're into high-end gears, those ratios could go up to 5.13 to 1 or 4.88 to 1, and even borderline insane ratios like 6.17 to 1. Not usual, but hey, it exists!
So, the larger the number, the lower your gear ratio. Basically, higher ratios mean more pinion turns and less ring gear turns. You'll get more torque multiplication, which is pretty cool.
