@@KoldenKoose ZBo and Adams tangled in the playoffs and cost us the series after ZBo suspended after a questionable altercation IMHO so Adams forever was a villain in MEM as we had OKC and lost the series without ZBo. Respect to you Steve.....rest in love Kenny McFadden. NZ basketball legend and NZ hiphop icon 🏀 Kenny came to NZ in the 80s to play basketball from the US.Kennys brother would send cassette tapes to New Zealand in the 80s of American radio shows with the latest hiphop music because NZ was lacking in Hiphop music.

It was a hard interview for Steven Adam as he lost some one special which is understandable and good on him for speaking highly of Kenny Mc Fadden, because that's a Kiwi thing never forget where you came from. Steven Adam is awesome

Heart felt massive loss with Passing of Kenny who gave us so much in NZ with BB and our youth, he's now in among the stars urging your 1st Ring BigFulla, you are IMO his biggest achievement which has cut a trail from NZ to NBA...Proud as bruva!!

Hopefully a Kiwi out there won't mind answering a random question. Thanks to RUclips, in recent years I've gotten acquainted with All Blacks rugby. When we look at an athlete like Steven Adams, at whose strength NBA fans marvel, is he an athlete who just as easily could have stepped onto the pitch? Or is there a different skill set that a rugby fan can easily spot but a novice like me would miss?

@@dcbradfo657 Its a height, speed, co-ordination tradeoff in rugby union. First and foremost you need to be a good one on one defender , rugby league is good for learning that skill. Yes you need height to compete at the set piece like lineout and kickoff but all 15 players have to pass and catch, so fast hands and ball skills, agility and speed are more important because set piece plays aren't as frequent in NZ and Australia and in World Cup competitions. In Europe and South Africa there is more emphasis on the size of players because of weather and in SA and France emphasis on style of play. Will Skelton and Rory Arnold are classic examples of players who didn't suit the Aus/NZ style but are really useful in Europe. The same goes for R G Snyman and Lood de Jager and JP Du Preez all close to 7ft all earning a good living in Europe They also get more of a look in in South Africa because of the style of play and emphasis on size to win the contact area. 7 footers like Stephen don't usually make it to the top echelons in NZ Rugby Union because you need to move your feet fast to tackle someone 5'8" and bend down really low to contest/clean out the ruck. He definitely would struggle with Rugby League because of the speed required to reset the defensive line that's why Jordan Mailata went to play NFL instead of trying to make 1st grade with Souths. There's no timeouts in any rugby code just injury breaks.
