While there were cameras around back in the Augusta Minitruckin days, my military days, and even my return to minitruckin days, there wasn't social media to plaster my antics on. So, I've lucked out by not having my stupidity shared around in anything but stories so far. Now days, I'm much more tame, so that's a plus. -Whiz
So seems like we have a lot in common as I was also a military brat and lived in Brugnera Italy and went to school in Aviano Air Force base. My experiences in Italy were some of the best times in my life and will never forget them. I also have a similar story but mine involved a hand grenade that my friend and I found on the banks of the Chattahoochee River in Ft Benning GA in 1986. Thinking it was a dud we brought it to my friends house and actually pulled the pin while sitting in his garage. Seconds later the grenade became hot so he tossed it in the yard and it exploded. Local police and Military police were called to the house and we had to show them where we found it. Weeks later we were told that they had found more grenades and other live ammunition that were thrown into the river. Life as a military brat was certainly not boring for me.
