Just wanna note, it was NOT Sasukes plan to entire the summit and face all of those guys. It was ZETSU who blew his cover which led to him fighting the Raikage and everyone else. Sasukes plan was to ONLY target Danzo and that was AFTER the summit.

Fyi Shisui was Itachi’s friend; the one he was accused of killing, which is how he supposedly awakened his Mangekyou in the first place.
To address people stealing Uchiha or Hyuga eyes after death, this was more or less alluded to in the Naruto vs Neji fight all the way back in the Chunin exams. Remember how the curse mark was placed on all Hyuga branch family members? Upon their deaths it would 'seal' their eyes, preventing enemies from making use of them. Of course this doesn't apply to the main family, as the branch would theoretically protect their bodies before they could get stolen. As for all the Sharingan eyes, lets just see for now lol.
Also, when they encounter with Haku, Kakashi says that the Ambu are in the shadows protecting the village secrets. He even mentions his Sharingan as example.

I never really acknowledged that or grasped the concept until kinda recently lol
Juugo is able to restore his chakra faster than others, because of his ability, especially when he goes crazy. That's why people with the curse mark, that is based on Juugo, become way stronger than they are. It basically multiplies the amount of chakra they have.

Remember back when they showed Itachi's flashback, there were a group of guys, iirc they were Uchiha police, who accused Itachi of killing Shisui. This was never confirmed or denied by Itachi.

Did he order Itachi to kill him and deliver his eye? Did he kill Shisui himself? Did someone else kill Shisui and, like the opportunist he is, killed that person and took the eye? Was Shisui actually working for Madara and, in a rare show of heroism, Danzo confronted and killed Shisui?

In jugo's case having a curse mark is like a " sage mode" your taking nature chakra forcibly thus making him berserk like what we see in his personality its a special trait of His clan thats why orochi took a liking in him because of that passive ability
Technically Sasuke hasn’t done anything to hidden leaf yet. He is rogue ninja that was going for revenge. Now that “Tobi" told him truth he has shifted his revenge. But still has yet to commit a crime against hidden leaf. At this point him and Naruto’s character development has been two sides of the same coin. Beautifully written great reaction guys. Shusui was Itachi friend and someone he looked up too. Shusui also had a run if you see him order during the great ninja war.

It doesn't make it a plot device when you actually watch the series and knew this beforehand.

I get a little impatient whenever Ron tries to understand Juugo's abilities, considering he isn't all that important and he's a bit of an anomaly like most of Orochimaru's test subjects. However, the theorizing about Orochimaru making a Wood Style-Sharingan Frankenstein is good. Too good! Orochimaru was definitely on to something, and this is why his intelligence and influence extend far beyond mere fighting prowess, pedigree, battle experience, and the other things for which people usually recognize a ninja.
Why would you get impatient? It’s a terrible writing choice. Talk about plot armour! Sasuke’s whole crew can fully revive him from near death whenever he needs it. And Ron has no way to know that Jugo is irrelevant to the story going forward. He’s literally Sasuke’s ONLY loyal follower.

Ron has already seen several examples of extreme physical manipulation and incomprehensible body structures: Shino's body being a hive for bugs, Sakon and Ukon merging with each other or other people, Kidomaru being a spider, Kimimaro and his bones, Sasuke growing wings in CS2, Orochimaru casually vomiting his own body from his own mouth and reattaching his bifurcated body, Hidan's unexplained immortality, Kakuzu's thread-like tentacles and zombie-like creatures, Zetsu splitting in two, etc. What's so weird about Juugo's transformations? lol

The Samurai are actually about as strong as a regular ninja, some are stronger, especially Mifune, but at this time in this place, there are so many exceptional ninjas in the building that they seem weak.
Simply put, having Dojutsu (special eyes) requires large chakra reserves, especially if it isn’t natural/was taken from someone from another clan. For example Nagato has some of the most chakra in the entire series so he can use the rinnegan but if a normal ninja tried they probably instantly drain all their chakra and just die like kakashi did.
Jugo can tap into nature energy at will. So sage mode when ever. He's the reason orochimaru made the curse mark
Yes it's common. They've talked about it several times going all the way back to haku and zabuza, and again with the hinata vs neji backstory about neji's father.

The curse mark gives him nature energy and curse mark power.. Which gives him basically a limitless source of life saving material. There's a reason Orochimaru used him for testing. But it obviously debilitated him temporarily

I don't think it mattered too much that jugo saved sasuke. His power level remains the same because his clan has huge/massive chakra reserves. Like the uzumaki clan. His form will change but hes power level remains similar. Its even stated in the video that his chakra is crazy. So his level of attacks won't lose power.

its not as simple as just having the eyes, for example any users not from said clan atleast for sharingan need to keep the eye closed or else they are deplteted of chakra, hense kakashis mask covering it

I’m pretty sure these have been answered already, but: it’s not like anyone can just get their eyes replaced with doujutsu/special eyes (Sharingan, Byakugan, Rinnegan). At least not both eyes because there’s a huge chakra draw from them (example: Kakashi). That’s why you see everyone cover them up, so they can preserve energy although Ao’s Byakugan might be a little different. Having both eyes be occupied by doujutsu would just drain you and make you useless.
As far as Jugo is concerned, I don’t know why exactly you’d think he’d be weak. He may be weaker, but if you’re really strong and get weaker, you could still be strong. This is, I believe, the first time we see him *FULLY* transform, so if he seems stronger than previous times, then that’s because he’s finally going all out. Him being in a kid form wouldn’t mean anything either because Sasuke, Kimimaro, and the Sound Four were all kids and went full 2nd stage Curse Mark. On top of that, the Curse Mark comes from Jugo’s own body, so he is quite literally “built different” and he’d be able to use it better than anyone.

@@andrewodinson3726 There is really nothing to explain, Jugo's clan quite literarily absorb nature energy PASSIVELY at the cost of their sanity. He could be a grown man, a kid, a fucking toddler and it would be pretty irrelevant relative to the boost he gets by absorbing obscene amounts of nature energy. Not sure why they're that fixated on Jugo's abilities and trying so much to make a big deal out of it. Jugo merging with Sasuke during the Bee fight to save him was just foreshadowing for whats to come, spoiler:

The Hyuga clan actively protect their clan members Byakugan from enemies. Only Branch members go on active missions and they all have the Curse Marks on their foreheads that not only allow them to be punished by Main family members but also it seals their Eyes upon death
Juge is constantly absorbing nature energy with or without his curse seal activated, it makes sense if he’s fully recovered and possibly even stronger then when he healed saskue after fighting killer b. Plus time has passed in the show, these fights aren’t necessarily back to back
Aside, from common Sharigan power, some Uchiha develop a special one. Example, Itachis Tsukuyomi, Shisui strongest genjutsu, Sasuke can shape control Amaterasu, Kakashis eye that he took from Obito has Kamui.
Taking anothers ocular/ eye that isnt originally in your bloodline or line of kekkei genkai if the eye that taken was in yours "it cannot be" turned off manually... It is activated automatically thus draining your chakra unless it is sealed or closed with clothis thus them always have a seal that particular eye
remember kakashi has mangekyo as well, and it's safe to assume he unlocked it within his own body as obito had only just awakened it a bit before, so not a requirement to be an uchiha per say to go from reg sharingan to mangekyo

People rave about the pain arc, but this to include the following fights is peak for me. But I freely admit, I’m a huge sasuke fan.
I don’t even like the Pain arc. I found the whole thing incredibly mid aside from his ‘The world shall know Pain’ line and the cycle of hatred speech (which, really, isn’t even that deep - it just comes as a surprise because the rest of the show is shown through Naruto’s naive eyes). This 5 Kage arc is far FAR more impressively put together. And I say that as a writer myself.
You mean the fights themselves?? Coz that's quite subjective and fair enough, there are some good fights, but the pain arc is just king due to its emotional rollercoaster it takes you on, from Jirairas death, to the whole mystery of who pain is, to the village being destroyed, to the viable dilemma which Naruto faces, the nostalgia between them both having the same teachings yet different backgrounds and different outcomes as a result of their different forms of suffering, even hinatas bravery of revealing her emotions and development in terms of skills, as a viewer I feel waaay more watching the pain arc.

The problem with having 2 stolen eyes is that we already know how draining it is to Kakashi just to have one and he's a Jonin, there's also the fact that you can't deactivate stolen eyes so you would have to have both covered to stop them from draining all your chakra which would not be helpful.

Uchiha Shisui's Mangekyou's attack Kotoamatsukami was the strongest but with a drawback. It takes 10 long years to use the genjutsu again.
Another thing to keep in mind about different eyes like sharingan, bakyugan, rinnegan. They all consume an enormous amount of chakra, even more so when it's an ability or power your body isn't supposed to be able to use. Kakashi gets worn out quickly while using his sharingan. Some clans naturally possess high amounts of chakra and could probably manage with no issue, but I can get into that without spoils.
Juugo replenishes chakra faster than normal but that form he went into was his cursemark transfermation
Im sure people on Patreon have explained it already, but the reason we haven’t seen many people take Sharingan and Byakugan is because of the huge drawback of having one without being a uchiha or hyuga clan member: you cant turn it off. The eyes can be put in a dormant mode but never fully deactivated, so it will ALWAYS be draining your chakra by alot. This is why most characters who have stolen eyes keep them covered, not to hide them, but to reduce their usage as much as possible so they drain less chakra. For example, its been confirmed that in a world where Kakashi did not get the sharingan, his chakra reserves would be exponentially greater, but its been traded away for the eye instead. Any other normal or even high level ninja without huge chakra reserves like his would barely be able to cast a single jutsu before collapsing if they had one
Jugo is actually extremely strong and his power is basically pure sage chakra and when he can kinda control it and choose who he attacks he’s insanely strong
I think jugo looks impressive here because he's rarely undergone full transformation. Under the full cursed mark, his chakra and recovery is on a different level. Remember sasuke and naruto at the valley
certain clans have more chakra then others Senju which is Tsundae and the 1st 2 hokages clan Uzumaki which is ya best boy, karin and nagato and the akametchi too its just those first ones also have special jutsu and/or kekkegenki unlike choji and his ppl. The chakra is noted to drain say ay non native eye user more. but i forget to mention that chakra has a quantity and a quality its essintually just "life force energy" which is why ppl can connect with loved ones
Jugo said he'd become his normal self again after a while. right after he healed Sasuke. it just would've taken quite some time, but he'd heal. Just like how people heal from serious injuries

If I’m remembering correctly, I think the whole eye taking thing is a reminder that a ninjas body holds secrets and special abilities, so I believe they said a comrade must bring a dead teammates body back or destroy it, so another village or nation doesn’t reap those benefits. So yeah, I think it is common to steal ocular powers should you survive or beat someone who has one. Just look at Pain who stole those body’s to use their jutsus.
I think it's just a matter of Hugo losing some of his actual body, but that curse mark creature will still grow out regardless

The thing with eyes is that, you probably cant handle having implanted eyes because remember that Kakashi struggles already with it because it consumes too much chakra. Kakashi stayed in bed for weeks after using the Mangekyo once. So basically you must have a tank of chakra to handle one eye, probably just Naruto or Gaara could implant a Sharingan or Byakugan amf use it to its full potential
18:30 the eyes can be stolen and switched threw medical ninjutsu but require mass amounts of chakra to use so maybe someone could use multiple from different clans but they eyes fall under kekkegenki =(advanced ninjutsu that's a power soucre derived from either combined nature elements or a bloodline trait) yamatos/tenzo wood style, or a sharingan or buacugan or the rennigan technology is a really advanced version. OR if you remember when naruto watched sasuke run away to orochi before there fight in Pt1 The bone ability from kimimaru is one just was never that crazy he was basically a lone survivor Prodigy drugged up + the Curse mark. which is one from jugo's clan that oro modified everyone oro does experiments on PM. it is diff from just clan abilities like shadow possession or mindtranfer tho those are just bloodline passed.

Most Shinobi don’t have beast level of chakras to wield them. Kakashi literally gets drained out holding on to 1x Sharingan. Imagine Ron or a random Shinobi with 2x Ocular eyes. Are you going to cover both eyes and fight blind?
The moment he opens his both eyes, he would gassed out. That’s so obvious..
I mean you can take 2 eyeballs, but dont forget that these guys close their to preserve chakra. Even then small amount of usage can be taxing and you cant deactivate not natural dojutsu. Also it's as useful as any other jutsu. You have to train it to make most out of it. There are still many fodder Uchiha and Hyuga ninjas. We only know the best ones so even if you have dojutsu it still can be useless.
The casual eye swapping does get very annoying and is very jarring to watch, but generally speaking, it's noteworthy that if you are not from the clan that naturally manifests special eyes, it is very chakra draining to use. Also, at least in the case of the sharingan, it appears that people who implant the eye can't deactivate it meaning it is always draining some chakra. That's why Kakashi keeps it covered with his headband.

40:00 eye powers W/O spoilers are sharingan which has multiple varinets and skill lvls between 1-3 tomoa goes from being able to track movements in combat and genjutsu to being able to copy those to being able to see chakra as different colors depending on nature. mongekuo sharingan and its eternal variant are awakend by first felling emense pain typicil;ly with a loved one friend family comrad. and the EMS is awakended by an uchiha replacing there eyes with anothers typiccly family. the MS gives the susano you seen itachi use + typically weapons and color coralate to the persons character and goals + a special ability typically each eye might give a different effect. for example itachi ONE EYE has Tsucyomi a genjutsu plain were itachi is the god of your mind if you're hit.. and the other is Amaterasu the black flames. Saskue got that too and kagatsuchi an abilty that alows him to control the flames as he wants unlike itachis who was a aim point and shot. like i siad these eye powers are taxing on chakra if you use the MS and its abilities to much you can burn your eyes out which is why theres the EMS same thing just doesn't go out and susano gets bigger the rennigan i already explained my best ona diff comment just missed that it has a sensory mode so you can kinda tell when the user is serious if the pupils dialate.The buakugan allows you to see chakra flow threw the system, chakra points threw walls and cloths and the 360. can also be used for sight amongst long distances.

It also takes a lot of mana to use these eyes. And the hyuga and uchiha clan are more adept and conditioned to utilize their eyes. While if someone from the outside was to steal it, it takes a lot of time just to master it and use it efficiently. Jugo is immortal as he uses nature energy to infinitely regenerate his cells and because those with curse marks have compatible dna with jugo he can transfer his flesh to heal them with side effect of him looking younger because he is degrowing himself by transferring his flesh, him losing power in beast state doesn't make sense because it's the same nature energy that feeds him this power. I think you've jumped into conclusions with the take that jugo should be weak since he reverted to a child-like state, because his powers were explained way back.

they consume too much chakra that's why Kakashi covers it to minimixe the chakra drain(and also sharingan can't be activated and deactivated if person isn't uchiha that's why Kakashi and Danzo have sharingan 24/7)
Same issue with Byakugan but atleast it change be activated and deactivated.
Bc of these Hyuga has Main branch and side branch system where the side branch protects the Main, and when they die the curse mark probably affect their Byaguya in way that it's looses it's power or can't be activated(PURE SPECULATION) while Sharingan can't be on/off and even PPL like Kakashi becomes low on chakra just by using it for a mins so Uchiha didn't need Main/Side system to protect their eye
and other thing is these eyes are Clan's pride in a way so if you roam around with these they will 💀 you
Every ocular power is extremely hard to maintain. It requires a huge amount of chakra. That's why Kakashi doesn't use Sharingan that much as a real Uchiha clan member
