I was surprised by how much fun i ended up having with this game! The navigation and the length of the stages is inscredible. Really hoping for a sequel!
It's a decent game at heart, just takes some effort I think.
Really hoping the next game keeps the a lot of what this game has and doesn't try to over innovate and make it completely different, I love the 3 different difficulties and the insane amount of events if you actually care to do all vehicle types in every rally per difficulty, I've had some of the most fun on wheel playing this game hands down. If they polish up the physics a bit more in the next game I'm sure it'll be more of a hit, anyone whose played a previous dakar title knows how undrivable most vehicles were
Me too, previous Dakar titles were awful and I had a lot of hours of fun in Dakar Desert Rally. I think it is just a tougher game to grasp and that can put some people off. The AI was not great and there were other balance issues but when relying on directions it was a very satisfying game.
Saber says: we got their dosh, let us wrap it up. On to Expeditions and try it all over again 😂

It's nowhere near successful as the other games that they have made.. So it was obvious they're going to drop it

If Saber or BNG dev can't make it, I want to believe EA Codemasters could deliver World Raid Rally Championship game in the future.
As always, developers release unfinished games, then new bugs appear when they add new content, which gives them even more work. Now the game is apparently complete but we still experience fatal errors. At least I had time to do all full Dakars in simulation when the game was playable.

It looks like a good attempt, but the physics look sub-par. Hopefully they made enough to build off it.
I got the game now, as it's free on Epic Games and I'm a bit sad to hear this. I haven't played much of it yet, but seems really nice.
At this point I can only say that they should make it permanently free, so even if it's not a live service anymore, more people can enjoy what it offers.
Instead of losing time in this game and that arcade explorer game, they should focused on a new snow runner with ne dessert and jungle maps with new sand physics and weather effects
I am so used to watching only Snowrunner content from you that I was honestly trying to figure out for a full minute what map has both a desert and a massive cliff.
So who can port the USA maps to Snowrunner? Would make an awesome basis for some incredibly long missions and tasks.
I still called it with the 605r being in Dakar.

To preface this, if anyone in this comment section starts saying that the *developers* are the ones at fault I'm going to smack them, this was the the work of a shitty publisher through and through.
The fact of the matter is that Saber Porto is a publisher in deep, deep shit. They keep losing money and only have like 1 consistent title (the Snowrunner series) and kept trying to make games to sustain further development costs in a vicious cycle.
Dakar Desert Rally was a great game, for sure, but with not in scope of the developer's time or financial budget. Saber Porto moved more than half the development team on Dakar Desert Rally to other projects almost immediately after release which left the remaining developers high and dry. They were expected to deliver an entire season pass'es worth of content with not only half the team but also almost no additional funding because the game did not sell well at launch.
They should start a crowdfunding for fixing the stability. How sad is it to leave a broken product?! I will start playing today and hope it will be enjoyable
I've always found it pretty stable but I guess it depends on system specs and other things.
This game used to run really well until the USA DLC came out. Despite having a high fps I get constant micro stutters which really spoils an otherwise really good game.

I like the look of this but something is holding me back committing to it. I think it is one of those games I just need some time to play before I buy it.
If you thought Dakar 2018 was bad, this game is bad on a whole new level.
It's considerably better than the 2018 game.

Started playing but all of a sudden keep getting crashes when i plug in a controller. Tried everything but can't get it going again. It's too bad i was really enjoying the game.
Everyone who wants a similar game, you should try Ghost Recon Wildlands.

It's all ways on sell both darka games are great and good fun long as you kno how to navigate races like that after u figer out that its great an no matter how good u get the a.i will still beat u and fight u 4 the win most the time its great in my opinion

I haven't for a little while mostly because of making videos for other games but if I ever return that could be fun. I think it was an underrated game.
Very under rated to be honest iv only met one person in real life that new what it was I believe most people dont kno what it is plus if they got the game they didnt kno how to play it lol

I really enjoyed the game on Xbox until they broke the FFB. So much more fun with a wheel but not without FFB.

sorry, this game looks incredibly boring to me, not because of the idea, but because of the arcade style and very mediocre graphics. I think everything I want to see about this game I have seen in this video.

It wasnt the developer's fault. The publishers and money people cut the dev team in half when it originally released.
