Hi that first bolt you took out for the vacuum pump has a little bracket with ground wires correct? The bracket is bolted together with the vacuum pump correct? Thanks
Yes, that bolt and bracket is really iritating to get back on, it goes BEHIND the vacuum pump body but infront of the bolt hole, the little "fork" looking part keys to the pump, then you bolt it down.
Hammer and chisel is about the only solution unless you try to to use a bolt extractor.. there's no good answers for that one honestly. It's going to really suck.
Well, my shop is primarily "imports" and I'm the "VW/Audi" mechanic.. so if they come in, typically I work on them. My schedule USUALLY consists of VW/Audi, I work on the others if I don't have any.
@@troy_19_ i think the dealership hella overcharged. But i tried going to other shops and they tell me they dont work on audis. I had no other choice but thats just fucked.
Thank you for this video! Helped me with my flange/vacuum pump/heater hose replacement!

Unfortunately the bottom vacuum pump bolt is stripped on my car. Would you recommend a way to remove it?
Thanks

You never show how removal vacuum pump hose.
Audi is unable to make a proper sealing for that pump. It is kind of a joke how common is the leak there...
Now to figure out Twitch names vs. RUclips names...
I know it's You (insert name here)
Im getting charged 3600 for valve cover gasket replacement and vaccum pump and gasket repair. Is that overpriced? Or fair?
