Newark is indeed recomendable; went through in just 45 minutes after my flight from Amsterdam! Also my father had the same experience when he went there. Good airport with quick working CPB officers!
The quickest US Boarder Control I know! :D
I also agree, have always made fast and accurate connections through Newark Airport. The security is always very quick to get you through. Although I have not been into the city of Newark itself.

FRA Aviation JFK kann zu Stoßzeiten wirklich anstrengend sein... Ich hab aber nicht 40min nur für customs gebraucht... Sodern vom Flugzeug bis ins Taxi... Inklusive Koffer, Customs und durch Terminal gehen...

I still remember Schechat in 1958 with just 2 planes; a BEA and an AUA Viscount.
I like Newark airport as well a lot! I've flown there twice! Anyway, awesome trip report! Just as perfect as the other one! And the certificate was awesome! Not sure every airline gives one of them out :P Well done! :)

The freeway its A21, The Freway A23 ist Located in Vienna. Its is going straight trough the city. This is the A1 called "Wiener Außenring Autobahn"

Beautiful views of Paris, but Newark, NJ, not so much. Having grown up in NJ I would know. However, I didn’t know that inaugural flights get a water salute.

I remember being on the last Air France flight from Paris to Newark back in March 2012. I think it was operated by an A332. We also got a shower but no certificate haha

Awesome Video but i have a question did you pay for the food and also is their any entertaiment on economy class because i saw those littletablet on the back of the seat but like can you watch movies and stuff on that with economy class???
Food is free and very good! There's a built in IFE screen where you can enjoy a huge variety of movies and other thing. ;)

Eine Frage: In einem anderen Video über das neue IFE der AUA wird gesagt, dass die neue Karte nur mehr ein Schema zeigt und nicht mehr die Strecke, die tatsächlich geflogen wird. Sieht bei dir aber anders aus! Weißt du da vielleicht mehr? LG! :)

Newark is my home airport!
I really like Austrian Airlines' service. I took a flight to Vienna once with Lufthansa via frankfurt, but the connecting flight Vienna-Frankfurt was much better than the long haul flight with Lufthansa.
We also love it! Austrian has the best catering in the Lufthansa Group! :D
When you are on flights with 3 seats on the sides where dobyou prefer to sit? I cant make my mind up if I like the window or the alley.

1:04 Gate G32 was the gate where I had to wait for my flight to Istanbul :)
2:11 Was that the 777-200ER OE-LPC ? because if it was the OE-LPC, I was standing in front of it in the airport when the catering service was loading the food inside the plane :)
I have checked my footage and I have seen the OE-LAT when I was there :)
I think we were sitting next to each other but we had one gate between us :)
I was sitting for a few hours in the gate where the OE-LPC was
The onboard view is amazing, the economy class of Austrian looks really amazing :D nice and big IFE screens :)
The business class looks a little bit the same like the business class of Brussels Airlines :D
The watercannon salute was also amazing :)

WOW ive always wanted to fly on an inaugural flight especially when you when you get certificate and the water salute when you lend another awesome video man. what else do you get on an inaugural flight
BatakAviation Well that's pretty much it... Normally you shouldn't even expect to get a certificate, that's a unique service of Austrian Airlines. But it was really cool, the whole crew was so extremly nice and friendly and all in all it was one of the best flights of my life!

Ex-Lauda air fleet :). OE-LAV crashed in 1991, very similar aircraft to the one you were on.

A.R.K Dean for special airlines 767 are still being made, its a popular freight aircraft and even kc-46 is soon gonna be the backbone refuelling considering there was alot of problem back in the days theyve all been fixed and 767's are a unique lovely aircraft

Security checks are fast if you are flying intercontinental bit security checks to Us near-by airports and Canada take really long. Once me am my mom flying to Montreal from Via Zurich and Newark, our flight was going to depart but yet it was delayed. At least the passengers were helpful to let us infronto f them
Yes sometimes the security takes a lot of time, this is why I try to be at least 2h before departure at the airport.

i only clap on landing when i can see the pilot has had a tough job getting the plane on the ground, like when you land in really bad weather and you can here the changes in engine speed and see the constant movement of the ailerons...

My 80 years old girlfriend and I were on this historic flight. The food was good and enjoyed the free wine and gift. Since I flew with Austrian Airlines again but had a bad, expensive experience. I am 78 years old with health issues and was not treated well. My family, friends will not fly with them in the future.
