Hey new subscriber here. Got a quick question I got a 04 450 doing a new crank build. Can the main bearing hold down screws be reused if in good condition?
Welcome to the channel man. I know the 2009-current yfz450r they can be reused i don’t have that manual on hand but they are i believe the same retainers as the efi yfz450r so i am gna say yes its ok to reuse them.
Any advice on the crank starting to seize when tightening case bolts? It's free until I snug them up. Bearings were hammered in...going to buy a press today to remove/reseat them in case that's the issue. Crank is brand new hot rods from rebuild kit.
Is it a yfz450r? Did you change all the bearings i know theres one on one for the tranny bearings the retainer is like a c and can go in either way but it actually has to go in facing the left if that makes sense at all!

How much do you think this would cost me to pay a mechanic just to put that part into my bike? Btw I have a yfz450r se 2017

It can be so the problem w new or even used cases is you will need to replace all the seals/bearings!
