Anyone able to help? im putting mine back together and can’t see to shift thought the gears as smoothly as you? I have to have something wrong. Any help?
How do you set the timing? The service manual looks totally different vs the motor irl (Manual shows that the stator is mounted to motor NOT the stator cover)
When I go to bolt the other case half on, the transmission shafts get extremely stiff or seize completely, but when the case half isn't tight it, the shafts spin freely. PLEASE HELP
@@claysavage8047 I've got it to where I can bolt the case halves together and everything will spin freely but now the issue is that it doesn't shift right. I try to run through all the gears before further assembly and it seems to only go into 2 or 3 gears. This has been so annoying
@@MotoXPrepper I've got the exact same problem happening. Going to pull it apart tonight and hopefully figure it out. I'll let you know if I find the issue.
@@MotoXPrepper I got mine figured out. I have an 05 bottom end and figured this video would cover that. It pretty well does but the shift forks are not the same in my situation. They do not have the same details that are pointed out in this video. I installed them per the 04-10 KTM 250/300 repair manual and what do you know? It works flawlessly... Like all the OG mechanics say, use the manual and take your time. Hope this helps.
