This is a great performance with the electronic screens... is it wrong to wonder if perhaps - just perhaps - the incredible complexity of this dance routine combined with the high-tec visuals/graphics might have gone over the heads of most of those at Coachella? Hope not!
140,000 tickets sold, Gobi holds ~4,000 or so my guess. It was fairly well packed. I'd say no to your premise. I am sure when they tour the US they don't fill 4,000 capacity venues. The crowd here was going nuts. I wouldn't conclude it went over anyone's head, just not everyone's cup of tea. 31 flavors! I do agree with you that the choreography with the screen images and holograms was absolutely amazing, the best I've seen anywhere, anyplace in over 45 years of concert-going. Probably not as fun as BlackPink, which had a live band, but a helluva lot more technical and impressive. Incredibly meticulous. Someone posted Edge, which was the best dance choreography of the festival. Their weekend 2 set is live-streaming on RUclips at 8:20pst Sunday 4/21.

I'm going to say it... I'm mad about the projector glitches. Its not just a missed lighting que or a missed mark - that happens. Projecting a shadow onto a solid beige surface only to have that shadow grow and shrink and invert is the point of the whole staging. To have that "surface" just disappear periodically just makes the whole thing look jumbled and random. So far, I've seen that this and Edge were effected by this glitch, and it's really bad here. Everything else - the sound, the songs, the production, and of course A-Chan, Nocchi, and Kashiyuka are as perfect as usual. Man, though. THIS was not the moment to have that bad of a problem. Frustrating.
The stage was too small and sadly the motion tracking tech had to keep up with the movements and the area around it. Hope they'll get a bigger stage and show Coachella their missing the queens ♥️♥️♥️

pretty cool, but As much as I love listening to perfume, I wouldn't pay to watch them dance around and lip sync a bunch of songs. It's a shame that them and Kyary can't sing their own tracks live while groups like GIRLFRIEND can sing them perfectly AND play the music on their instruments at the same time.
Perfume is an electronic group, they're like Daft Punk, its about the music and performance, not necessarily live instruments. Japan has a huge live music scene, first of all, numerous soloists and rock bands, but they're not going to get invited to Coachella.
It's hard to get into Perfume tbh. I was a lil disappointed when I first noticed that they didn't sing live mostly but their songs are catchy and they have hypnotizing performances and that hooked me up. Tbh my music mix is very random xD I am more of a rock band people but if I want something fresh and unique I would switch to Perfume some times.
