Will the upgrade keep the Remote desktop cals? Do the user cals also carry over to upgraded system? Currently using Dell Server 2008R2 64 bit which version of Server 2012R2 64 bit should I purchase to make the upgrade and be able to activate? Thanks
1.When OS Upgraded to windows 2012 from 2008, Only RD Gateway and RD Licensing Role Services are supported for upgrading. 2.Choose of Operating system depends on your business needs, Big companies usually go for Datacentre version because to support huge number of resources, whereas Midsize companies go for standard version, again it depends on the load, business needs and availability and depends on how resources will be allocated. 3.You can Upgrade the OS by downloading the ISO image from MS website, Post upgrade to active the upgraded windows you have to purchase the license key to activate it.
