My Mom used to make that "Texas Jalapeno/Cheese Cornbread" down in Texas (70 years ago, when I was a little tyke). So GLAD I finally found your recipe. Thanks again... (I'm subscribing to your Channel).

All you gotta do is put "cast iron" in your video title and I will come running! Lot of cast iron fans love cast iron skillet recipes. I'm not having a good day if I don't see something cooked in cast iron. Even seeing videos I have already seen. I think recipe I have is very similar to this. Don't really remember because I am in a cornbread trance while making it. But I happen to have a slice leftover I planned to eat tonight with a couple eggs. Then a friend offered to pickup fried chicken. Good eating! I slide the whole cornbread out of my skillet onto a cutting board - easier to cut up and serve to grabby hands - mine! Nice video! Thanks for making my day much less miserable.

I honestly do not know how to add to this PERFECT recipe....other than maybe adding butter, but then again I put butter on my butter, and like Homer Simpson, I butter my bacon too. haha I'm making bean soup this weekend from the left over ham from Easter, and I will be making your cornbread instead of our old family recipe. Pushing 12k in subs already, but I bet if you start titling your videos for cooking with stuff on hand or cupboard cooking or making meals stretch or simple meal or anything geared towards lock down type cooking that requires minimal items and easy to make, I bet you'll really get a boom in subs since many are searching for that sort of thing these days with store shelves being bare. Just don't say anything about the virus or anything like that or youtube will demonetize you. Keep up the great work.

I always wondered what cornbread tastes like, it must be extra tasty with that bacon running though it. Cornbread isn't a traditional dish served here in Australia but I think it could catch on. Thanks Lyds, it truly looks delicious and I must give it a try if I can find the ingredients.
I never realized that cornbread is more of an American food, it is incredible how different countries have different foods yet social media connects us and teaches us things that have us thinking outside our box. I hope you love it if you find the ingredients to make it! Have a blessed weekend 🙂

I like the flavor of corn bread but like you said, sometimes is too dry. Yours looks so delicious; I can have that for breakfast 🤤. I love pork, we have so many receipts with it.
