    When I read the description and saw an aluminum canister I though its gonna be simple easy thing. Turn out to be very sofisticated project requiring many steps. But the result is amazing. Very detailed and very well crafted piece. Thank you for step by step tutorial.

    just like Tetkoba - your stoves are amazing yet no where near as simple as you both make out on your videos. I really wonder how many times you tried before you managed to make these stoves "so" simply as in these videos. They are difficult to make.

  • @keithmerrill9674
    @keithmerrill9674 11 лет назад

    Love your work, have sucessfully imitated a couple of your designs but without the great craftsmanship. How can I figure the dimensions for is design especially the inner parts.

    • @kmkmr22
      @kmkmr22  11 лет назад

      Thank you :)
      Please process the same length as the inner periphery of the outer can to the inner wall.
      The top part will continue to match the diameter while shaving little by little.

    • @keithmerrill9674
      @keithmerrill9674 11 лет назад

      KMKMR22 Thank you for your guidance, A basic problem I still have on making stoves is expanding the outer can. Is your preferred method to expand by pushing it onto an unopened can?

    • @kmkmr22
      @kmkmr22  11 лет назад

      Keith Merrill Diameter is slightly smaller, by creasing toward the inside the inner wall.
      Alcohol is to rise transmitted through the gap between the outside and the crease, and then vaporized.

    Great video! Beautiful craftsmanship! The blue jet flame looks like it wants to spiral out of the holes. I wonder (at 4:00 "Processing the inner wall)...I wonder what if the bends could be slanted or spiral instead of being straight? I'm unsure if this is even possible to bend this way. You've inspired me to try myself!

    I also fail frequently this task :)
    Compass cutter for paper is vulnerable. Radius will change if you add a strong force.
    In addition, the blade is a tendency to go straight.
    First, please draw a thin cut-line in edge of the compass.
    After that, trace the cut-line slowly .
    The position should come settled gradually.
    If nothing goes wrong, please open the hole slightly smaller (or bigger) than intended.
    And adjust the hole by sandpaper.

    That is an amazing alcohol stove. What kind of JB Weld was used? & does it not get effected by the flame or alcohol?

    • @kmkmr22
      @kmkmr22  11 лет назад

      JB-Weld original.
      There is no problem if you use in a location that is not in contact with the flame.
      Further, it is not deteriorated touching the alcohol, if within one week.

    • @TTime685
      @TTime685 10 лет назад

      KMKMR22 No more than one week of contact with alcohol? With my coil jet burner the JB weld seems to weaken and get somewhat soft around the edges fairly quickly.. (only on the inside welds) even without contact it seems, just from the vapor. Maybe I'm not letting it cure long enough? Or not mixing equal enough amounts? I don't know.. I usually just eyeball the mixing and let the weld set for 24 hours before I put it to use. Like you said though, the heat doesn't effect it much unless the flame is making contact. I've just noticed the deterioration/weakening on the inside welds and thought it was from the alcohol so I figured I'd say something. It hasn't happened on all the burners I've made but it did on a couple so maybe I just messed up with mixing or curing on those. What do you think?

    Indeed, the durability of this is unknown because it does not after five months old.
    What I'm worried about the adhesive force of JB-weld.
    I think it Other than that, this stove will be able to continue to use as long as it is not trampled :)
    Thanks a lot.
