What bewilders me is that there's no concept that women might "lust after" men. It's ridiculous. This concept that all men are just these hypersexual animals...a bit like dogs who go around sniffing any old dog's privates. Is that why it's haram to have dogs? In case all that rear-end sniffing they get up to causes men to have impure thoughts?
Yet poor, innocent, childlike women need protecting from all these crotch-sniffing men.

Ninja Mommy is downright homophobic. Saw one of her video titled 'Muslim and Gay?'. She says that a Muslim gay person isn't a sinner unless he 'acts' on his thoughts. Then she goes on to say that the same thing goes for straight people, i.e they shouldn't indulge in sex until marriage. I find that comparison absolutely false. Straight people, in Islam, can get married and have sex while gay people can't because it is considered haraam. So hypothetically, if I was a gay Muslim man, I would have 2 options and both are terrible. One, I could stay lonely for all my life, or two, I could marry a woman and lead an unfulfilling and unhappy marriage. And if I was a gay Muslim man living in an Islamic country, I would have two more options. Leave Islam, become an apostate and get killed, or come out openly as a gay man and get killed.
Sidra and others like her often say that, "Oh, I'm not homophobic. I don't agree with the LGBTQIA community but I don't have a problem with non-Muslims indulging in it. But I also think Muslims shouldn't do it because it's a SIN. But I'm not homophobic." That literally doesn't make sense. Just accept you're a homophobe instead of sugarcoating it. No one CHOSE to be gay or lesbian or bisexual or trans. You don't agree with it because your 7th century book doesn't allow it? Fine, don't do it then. But don't stop others from doing it even if they had the misfortune of being born into your religion.
Edit: Also, I'm an atheist so I don't believe in God. But hypothetically, if he did exist, I don't think that the creator of billions of galaxies, planets, stars, 8 million species, 7 billion humans would have more problems than getting mad and throwing a tantrum because two men decided to have sex, or two women decided to have sex. Did you know homosexuality is also found in other species like penguins and lions? Weren't these species created by the same God?

I feel the same way. If you’re still looking to learn about Islam from a positive Niqabi, I’d recommend Medhina TV. She does videos with her husband who’s a Canadian convert from Christianity. They’re much more genuine in my opinion and don’t go around telling lies. Some things I think they do put a little off and sometimes they don’t put enough disclaimers, but for the most part they make note to say what is their preference vs Islam, what is their personal interpretation of Islam vs a hard-fast rule, etc.
And it’s just all in all much more respectful. She’s also much more respectful in the comments-which is where I find NinjaMommy lost much of my respect because her comments tend to be much more negative, obnoxious, and hostile than whatever face she puts on for videos.
Mubina (the niqabi from Medhina TV) is friends with NinjaMommy in real life, but I definitely notice some stark differences between them. I still make sure not to follow things blindly (though I know a few devout muslims with differing opinions than her and have done a lot of research, so it’s easier to figure out what should be taken with a grain of salt).
Medhina TV is the only one I watch nowadays, because some others I found to be way too fake and at times just pretending to be okay with certain things only to heavily imply they’re not okay with it in other videos or in comments.

      Narrated Anas bin Malik:
While we were sitting with the Prophet ﷺ in the mosque, a man came riding on a camel. He made his camel kneel down in the mosque, tied its foreleg and then said: "Who amongst you is Muhammad?" At that time the Prophet ﷺ was sitting amongst us (his companions) leaning on his arm. We replied, "THIS WHITE MAN RECLINING ON HIS ARM."

Anyways, Islam isn’t 100% bad, it does promotes good things like zakat and respect for older people, but as I said before. It has its bad sides. I once talked this with my best friend, she’s still a Muslim, but when I mentioned the sentence “bad sides of Islam” She screeches:”” YAAAA ISLAMMM IS NOT BAD ITS 100% PERFECT HOW DARE YOU” I got immediately shut down, even though I live in the Netherlands, I still can’t live freely, there is a huge muslim community in my city, and since I’m “blessed” with genes that I look like a typical Turk, I get shamed for wearing shorts in the summer! “Astafgurllilah, she’s a whore”,said some giggling hijabi’s. The pride Muslims radiates about their religion can be harmful. They might using violence to shut anyone down when someone speaks “negatively” about their religion and you will end up dead in your grave marked as an islamphobe?? I find it surprising that many Muslims, especially young ones, act like this in my country. 1. Culture is not equal to religion. Islamic law made the education of girls a sacred duty and gave women the right to own and inherit property. Islam also imposed women's consent as a condition for legitimate marriage contracts. A married Muslim woman is called RABBATUL BAIT (Queen of the house). The list goes on. Saudi Arabia et similia do not represent a religion of almost 2 billion followers.
      2. The Quran being sent to the Arabs was due to the fact that they were the worst nation of their time. They would bury their daughters alive and worship idols sculpted from clay. This ‘centralization’ is the product of a nation most in need of guidance. And remember what the prophet pbuh said: “There is no superiority of an Arab over a non-Arab, or of a non-Arab over an Arab, and no superiority of a white person over a black person or of a black person over a white person, except on the basis of personal piety and righteousness.” Many non-Arab Muslims study the Arabic language so as not to be a tourist in their own religion. Don’t forget that the Quran is also available in 114 translations. Insinuating that the religion is not open to all nations is an extreme fallacy in logic.
      3. The ones backbiting and slandering you are committing one of the 7 gravest sins in Islam. We used to say “look at the Muslims and you’ll know Islam” but now we're begging to differ sadly. Don’t let that distract you from the fact that the majority out there is righteous and kind like me :)

I am a non-Muslim who studies religions and spirituality (as well as language and culture) who sometimes views Ninja Mommy's content. I completely understand your criticisms and agree with the premise. I, for example, knew she was mistaken (at least) regarding the rules of interfaith marriage in Islam, and I feel that she does brush off the real human rights violations performed in Islamic countries.
However, I believe you completely twisted her words regarding the brutal murder of the French teacher. She was clearly simply defending against Islamophobic accusations that *arose from* the despicable actions of the Muslim perpetrator. This is very clear from the quote when it is full heard, which you cut to criticize her supposed cold-heartedness toward the victim's death: "And you guys, please don't insult the religion of Islam *over the actions of some people*". The "actions of some people" clearly refers to the those Islamic terrorists such as the student murderer, who she denounces by saying earlier "murder was NOT the answer...that took it way too far". It is VERY dishonest for you to take that out of context and accusing her have no sympathy for the murdered. That is practically slander.

As an Afro-American, I would also feel the need to defend against racist comments that are made if another black person commits a crime (playing a stereotype) and people use it justify their opposition to BLM and racial justice. Ima young 12 year old Muslim girl, I watched her so much! I didn’t even realize this. I’m kind of sad because she decided to poke fun of ACTUAL oppressed women in Iran or Afghan? And she’s all cheerful like “oh but I’m not oppressed so their not!” Is basically how I’m seeing it, and she is right, don’t make fun of Islam, but that guy I didn’t know much about and he just made cartoons for teens? Is that such a Problem? I don’t know what they were about but it probably wasn’t much. And if I had a kid and they decided to marry the same gender I would be happy for my kid because they are happy and I cannot choose what they do I can only teach them but I don’t care I will happily go to their wedding and make a speech about how much I will love my child! Yea I may not support LGBTQ+ but I understand they cannot control their feelings.
I also like her content and her ,herself, because she was born in Pakistan, the same place my whole family was born in! I’m half Pakistani born in Canada, SHE LIVES IN CANADA! I was so happy I could relate to her more and stuff! I even showed her to my mom, I was so happy.. this video just made me realize that she acts like a THE BEST good person EVER but she really isn’t, she is just a person that I don’t know if I want to call selfish but maybe she is, I love how she loves Islam but she needs to start being a little bit more respectful I think.
And also I watched her my journey with Islam video and found out she tried to commit -die- after she became religious
She would’ve known suicide is a a big sin in Islam right?
I know her story is kind of sad and she was really depressed but my mind just was thinking that the whole time, commuting is a HUGE BIG SIN ISLAM as she would say… I’m still kinda sad…
( it’s a big sun because god gave you life and gave you challenges so you could ask him for help but if you commit -die- then you didn’t come closer to god you just decided to throw every blessing he gave for you, everything he just gave to you, and idk how to end this)

I have to say that a 12 year old talking about religion, gods and sin makes me very, very uneasy. Transcendental matters and morality deriving from them are not something that a teenager, even a young adult is able to fully grasp. You lack life experience, you lack knowledge, you lack tools to analyze what you've been fed that you will acquire only with education and age. This means that most of what you know about god(s), sins/morality and religious dogma you took for granted as truth from your parents and/or religious insitutions. It's called conditioning/indoctrination from a tender age. That is not cool.

Islam is extremely attractive to people who grew up hardcore Christians. The USA has become such an embarrassment that people are willing to go to these extremes just to worship God. What I mean by that is this…in America kids are being told men can have babies, homosexuality is ok and we now have gay preachers. Kids are being groomed in elementary school to be trans. We have drag queens reading to kids in schools, we have drag queens attending church services and giving performances.
So, yea this is a huge deal. I am a old school original Christian who doesn’t believe in the alphabet club. I do believe people should be able to exercise their rights here in America. I don’t however believe in forcing any religion or ideology down peoples throats. No matter where it comes from.
