Here all this time I thought the ammo I bought from AA used Starline brass. Thanks for the clarification. Explains a lot of the problems that I have with Alexander Arms ammo.
I just resized 21 cases, all original Alexander Arms once-fired (by me) brass, and they all slid effortlessly into the shell holder (Lee) and were resized without any problems. The only problem I ever had with the A.A. Beowulf was the 7-rd. mag that came with the A.A. upper that fails to feed the last round 4 out of 5 times. The 10-rd. mag that I purchased separately works just fine. I called A.A.--a year and a half after I purchased the upper and the mag--and they told me that they would send me a replacement mag free of charge and that I could keep the old one and maybe try to fix it myself by bending one of the lips a bit more. I think that was excellent customer service on their part. Try to obtain a replacement anything from any company after more than one year from the date of purchase, if you did not buy an extended warranty!
Glad to hear you had a good experience with them. They have gone through a lot of changes (I live 5 miles up the road from them). The part that tipped me off to it being a bad batch of brass was the fact that unfired brass wouldn’t go into the Lee shell holder.
Have you had problems with necks on your 50Beowulf brass? I talked and researched taht there are problems with necked cases and dents and gouges in the 50 Beowulf brass. Is thia only with Alexander Arms Brass or common with the 50 Beowulf.
@@ModernMountainMan sorry about the wording lol there are gouges and necks on the brass. Ranging form various manufactures. Is this common with thia caliber.
Factory ammo, Beowulf is still the cheapest. I would have to go back and re-research it to see which is cheaper to reload. Socom’s main advantage is the availability of suppressors
Thanks for the kind words!
Thanks for making great brass

They use to use Starline but they switched to someone cheaper
This is good info! I am getting a Beowulf SKS and have been planning on reloading looks like I will be planning on Starline only.
I didn’t even know a Beowulf SKS is even a thing. Good to know!
Let me know where you found that at, I googled that and couldn’t find one.

What is the part number for this Starlite brass?
#3055 - 12.7x42mm Brass (Magnum Large Pistol primer)
They can’t call it 50 Beowulf anymore because it is a trademarked term.
Sometimes we all have to experience it ourselves as thanks for sharing to help out others....Good stuff....
Thanks for checking it out
Good PSA brother
Good information to pass on
No problem. Thank you
just a few days ago ran into that case problem
bradman Swag I try to tell every Beowulf owner I meet.
I use the starline brass for my 10mm. I will be getting their brass for my 50 now
In my humble opinion, they are the best
@@ModernMountainMan thank you for the info in your video.
Good stuff...found you from Scotsman's F&D chat
Tactical Swede awesome! Welcome aboard

It’s a straight walked cartridge so I am not sure what you mean by necked cases.

Yeah, some Beowulf’s that aren’t set up right can scratch the brass up pretty bad
@@ModernMountainMan this does include Nick's on the brass and gouges correct? I really appreciate your input brother
Yep
So out of curiosity, Dora that shift on ammo cost push another big bore round ahead? I’m thinking about a Socom build

Amen brother. God Bless
Thanks bro!
I’ve seen 100 casings of Starline for $77... that sound about right to you?
$73 at midway
Good stuff
Appreciate it!
Good deal
Thanks
