- During the middle of September, I made a big trip to Texas to finally see the Union Pacific Big Boy 4014 during the engine's Heartland of America tour through the Midwest. We would see the engine charging through the East Texas region from Texarkana to Dallas on the former Cotton Belt and Texas Pacific railroads. It is currently the world's largest steam locomotive operating today.
Truly fantastic videography! That must have been an amazing experience. Love it!
Thank you!

Thank you for sharing!! I managed to get a quick video of it in Big Sandy Texas. It was an amazing experience.
Thank you! There was a lot of people in Big Sandy!
@@csxnstrainman There sure was. If the train had not been late, I would not have found a place to park. But, since it was over 4 hours late, I found a place to eat and a place to park!!!
Wow! I love how they have the flags on the locomotive from every state. Changed from Arkansas to Texas very nice! Gotta love America
Yeah! They do that for each state they run through.
Going To Catch It When It Comes To Coffeyville Kansas In October
Cool! It was a awesome experience.
Very attractive scene I will see more and more cont•••••
Thank you!
Kinda neat seeing what the other side of the Oats Street crossing looked like in Texarkana. I was on the north side of the crossing
Oh hey I was here too!
Yep! Saw you in Naples that morning!
That’s so amazing to see! You missed out on M693-17 wrecking into a truck at Dan yesterday
Yep! I heard about that when I got into Augusta yesterday.
My brother and I had the chance to chase the bigboy in Mo., from Desoto to Poplar Bluff. We were there from South Carolina and planned to chase for two days, but due to family illness had to head back early. We had made a sign and planned on getting crew member signatures in Poplar Bluff, but the remainder of a tropical storm prevented that. Still had an awesome visit
Cool! Glad you got to see it! Hope your family is doing ok.

Everyone is good, hope you guys are as well. The only disappointment on the trip was that the weather hampered our chances to get the signatures we wanted and that the trip was cut short.

❤❤❤
saw it going to see it in October when they go to Houston
Cool!
Imagine if Union Pacific installed ditch lights on 4014, I doubt they’ll do that though.
Believe that's what the double-seamed headlights are for.
@ the reason why 4014 has a dual beam headlight on the front is because it’s safety to be more visible.
