U could use for a brooder is just make one with wood like a frame then the rest out hardware cloth it’s tiny enough that the chicks feet won’t fall thru and it’ll keep predators from getting in and just put a heat source and everything u normally do for chicks just make the bottom wire and put it on concrete or something to clean it it’s so much better than buying wood shaving and having to clean there water bc they kick the wood shaving in the water but with the wire they can’t but id make it about to your waist of higher up to u but it’ll be easier to access

@@FarmDad yea it’s always worked for me so I was thinking about telling u about it but u can use it basically anything it’s really good with ducks cuz how much they love the water and try to get in it it won’t make as much as a mess but if u gonna do that I would make it’s make it like 4 foot by 2 foot or so depending on how many u gonna get and how long your gonna keep them in there but I’ve always done that and it’s helped a lot with that kinda stuff so cuz all u gotta do is just get a water house and spray it into the grass or u could put a tray under it if u wanna use it for like a garden or something

I have a barnyard mix at this point.
If you can't afford a new coop, consider a used sedan.
That's a nifty idea. Do they overheat when it's shut up in the summer?
Maybe replace the windows with chicken wire by lowering them or breaking them.
