- Predator Hunting Grounds in 2024 just got a massive update. A game I thought was long dead has quite literally been revived with a huge news and future content planned! Patch 2.50, which I am dubbing the revival patch, has brought more life into this game than I ever thought possible, now let's hope Illfonic can deliver!

They finally got back they abandoned us but we have a new hope now they will probably leave at one point by now they did good i have hope for the future
I'm hoping they fix Predators and Fireteam alike they all feel boring and not unique.
I don’t know…..I was really excited for this game but when I got it I noticed the balancing was extremely off. I and other Predator players were constantly getting killed or blowing ourselves up from the fireteams. The plasmacaster I felt didn’t do enough damage as it did in the movies. The only effective weapon was a direct hit from the combi stick but they nerfed that from what I saw. If they really patched it up then I want to be easier for me to take 80% of their health then for them to take away 40-60% of mine in an all out confrontation.
NO way for Xbox 😊😊 I hope cross play with all platforms 🎉🎉🎉
Meh I wanted a story mode. Their training mode was cool and I wanted more
Decided to finally give this game a chance. I must say it was much better than when it was first released and I played it for a bit on my brother's Ps4 at the time he got it for free, wasn't too impressed.
This update tho has improved on much of the issues such as weapon balancing and toning down fireteam's individual performance to ensure teamwork was required. Games are still over too quick be it from a very good predator player or someone that is new/throwing. I'm sure much more will be done by the time we get a release date for the next gen consoles. But they have taken the right step to first reactivate players that previously bought the game or got it for free via PS Plus to get more data and player feedback.
Illfonic has been getting flak for some of their previous moves, but recently with Killer Klowns, Ghostbusters and now bringing Predator back makes me believe that they're improving their brand as a potential competitor of DBD and Texas Chainsaw.
Hopefully, I really hope they do more for this game.
Haven't played this game for a wile really enjoyed it and now this update it's time to return to the hunt.
Hopefully it continues to get more updates.

Glad to hear we’re finally getting new predators, I’ve been wanting to see what kind of idea’s they can still come up with.
They have lots of material but let's hope they aren't just reskins
@@Deadly1287 honestly to me it’s not all about whether it’s a reskin or not, I’m a cosmetic geek so anything that has to do with us getting new masks and outfits, I’m all for it.
This game was never dead. There has always been players
Of course, like any game it has its dedicated fan base but I meant more in the sense of dead because the developers abandoned it.

Lol I like how they boast about how they fixed the movement and made the predator "heavier" when in reality they did the exact opposite,the predator now jumps between and switches branches as if it was a fairy,also takes some abnormal glitchy steps when landing like it floats instead of landing normally to the ground and also walks as if it is magnetized to the ground if by that you meant heavier.....makes it look arcady and takes away most of the immersion the game had ....good job guys you broke a game that was a lot of fun as it was.. tbh i was expecting something like this the moment i saw the patch details being a whole autobiography instead of just patch details...can you at least make a version before this patch accessible to ps4 cause this was a damn good game
Yeah this game is a hot mess and if it didn't have the Predator title it would be dead already.

Worth it? That's up to you to decide, the game however is alive but q times for predator are anywhere from 5-10 mins on average.

Cross play has turned out to be a horrible way to play multiplayer. PC pretty much dominates in most matches.
It keeps the playerbase active with more platforms.
I'll wait for the next gen version, I loved the idea of this game it looked fun but it was pretty bad on launch so I skipped it. A next gen version would be perfect looking forward to it.
Probably not ever going to have a next generation version.
I know the OP didn't knew at the time, but the main reason they gave the game a massive update was to prepare the next gen port and even releasing it on Xbox.

Its great to see them add all this stuff but if they do not add maps and new modes, itll just be dead again. They were already rolling out predators before and it gets SO boring. We absolutely need new maps and new game modes
I agree 100% also they should rework Predators and Fireteam playstyle. A lot of work needs to be done for this game that's for sure.

It would be awesome if this game had a campaign (some people have said a remake of that weird Predator Concrete Jungle game in that engine could work really well). I’ll DEFINITELY pick this up once it comes to Steam. I love it when games will have asymmetrical multiplayer. There’s all kinds of cool things that can be done with that (Evolve was a cool asymmetrical game that sadly died. I’m sure if done right a relaunch of that game could be successful. Just add more content and don’t make the monetization super scummy like the original version’s bad system was).

Honestly? I think this game can definitely make a comeback. I've always believed this game could be huge if they gave it the attention it needed. Now they just might, it has a lot of plans and updates coming soon. So now we just hope they actually care about this game and give it the love it deserves. I'm hoping for true rework of the stats system. What are you hoping for?

@ultron_sigma I remember when this game was first released it was datamined that a campaign was originally in the game but was taken out for final release. Why? I have no idea.

This game needs to radically change the game mode and mechanics, but instead the developers are trying to keep gamers with skins. And the most interesting thing is that gamers are happy with this and don’t show anything to the developers. And as you can see, almost all skins are made for a predator, and not for soldiers, because no one wants to play as a soldier, because you play from the first person, you don’t see anything except your hands and weapons, and this is of course a problem. If this game was done right to the end, it would be equally fun to play as a predator and a soldier.
Yeah I agree with that, game needs a huge gameplay change.
Genuine question: will the next gen version be an update to the base PS4 game? Or is it a brand new release? I never got the original, and I want to get it, but I'd rather wait if it's going to be a new game release.
I'm not too sure they did say next generation releases so I'm assuming it's going to be a ps5 and Xbox s/x release.

Update is already out actually! New DLC towards the end of this year.

My question is: can i transfer all my data to xbox? Or am i gonna have to re-buy and level up all over again?
Re-buy means to re level up again. I'm thinking of doing the same thing and buying the game on steam with all DLC and leaving epic. Although my account is over level 150 so it would literally mean starting all over again.
Is this a serious question? These companies have never allowed us to bring over our progress from their competitors and never will.

As someone who plays on Xbox I am not really excited even though I do like the franchise. The reason why is because theres no story or PvE mode. Another reason why is because I have had enough with pvp in games for right for the simple fact that its always the same stuff. Hell Im better off playing the old AvP game and call it a day 😂.
AvP was special no question about that and I also would love to see a story mode added myself.

I'm hoping they'll add the daily and weekly thing for the Predator too, giving an award goal would make it more interesting instead of just the Fireteam. New colors and clothes styles for both Predators and Fireteam. It sucks that they still have no new characters for the Fireteam. New classes and iconic characters like Blain, Harrigan, Royce, Machiko (with her Pred gear), Theta (and her full body Pred suit) and Commander Osterman of Spearhead.
I would like to see that as well but probably not a good idea for a daily/weekly thing for Predators because remember when they tried that? The queue times sky rocketed.
@@Deadly1287 I have no memory of that, but damn that's a shame. The queue time for Predator is already a nightmare, and if that will drag it out more then yeah hell no.
@TheOther644 I played last night and they're down to about 5 minutes, way better than I remember.
@@Deadly1287 5 minutes is still lot, but better. I haven't played a Predator in a long time, but I kinda remember waiting like 8 minutes and long some times.
