Cologne is the gay capital of Germany, that was the first dirty joke...yes,we should make jokes about anyone!!!that's equality!
I think it is the gay capital, whereas Berlin is the ‚queer‘ capital.
What can I say…..Kölle alaaf! 🌈
The strange thing is, that usually its not the minority people that feel offended, but different people who think they have the right to speak on their behalf.
true af
If a joke is meant to be a joke, it's 100% acceptable, especially if you're making jokes about yourself too.
The important thing is how you treat the people you joke about in real life.
Oh, I forgot to mention, I'm a 40+ heterosexual, white guy, without handicaps, with an average... sized... 😁😆

This Video is 8 years old. This means even then it was already like today with this political correctness.
Political correctness was always a thing and will always be a thing. It's mainly about the perspective. Punching up or on your level is most likely okay, punching down isn't. There is also the comedic technique where you lead the audience to an assumption and then the punchline reveals that you mislead them. This works exceptionally well with stereotypes, because the audience doesn't laugh about the stereotype(the wrong assumption) but about themselves.
The only thing that changed over the years is, which do and don't deserve a pc-treatment. Punching down on jews was quite popular for some time. And in other cases like native americans(Indianer) it's problematic because our only connection to them are stereotypical stereotypes from someone who never knew any native americans.
@@philw6056 the punching down‘ argument is in itself faulty, because by defining an UP vs DOWN, you are creating a hierarchy of better people you are allowed to make jokes about, and sad, poor, disabled, ethnic, gay whatever people who you ‚claim‘ to be ‚better than‘…
You know what that‘s called, right? Phobic, racist and intolerant, arrogant….complete the list
"can he say that?"
Ricky gervais: "Hold me beer"
I think this performance is more important and more true than ever!
stefan rab is just a german tv legend
He had the piont. You can make fun of everybody, but you mustn't do that because they are who or what they are. Ridicule everything - but distinguish what is chosen and what is given.
I'm gay and fat (still am, although I've lost 2.5 stone, 16 kg so far) and I lisp and shake when I'm upset and I can make great jokes about it and often people, even friends, are quite horrified and don't understand the humor or are ashamed when they have to laugh. I have enough self-confidence to be able to laugh at myself and I don't mind if others laugh with me. Life is too short, so get on the swing, eat ice cream and enjoy yourself when you can.
The humor of Chris Tall is not quite what I like, I had sore muscles for three days from laughing at a Ralph Schmitz performance, I also think Martina Hill is great, Volker Pispers anyway (unfortunately no longer active) and especially Carolin Kebekus. She's also very borderline and crude with her humor, but I love it. I'm going to see her live next February and I'm really looking forward to it. I still like watching Little Britain today and I also think Andy Huggins is great.
EVERYONE has the right to be laught at! 😉
Chris Tall stand for the meaning that every one has the right to be pulled through the cocoa. That include every person also marginalised groups
"Freedom is always and exclusively freedom for the one who thinks differently." - Rosa Luxemburg.
The main problem with that quote is that so few people read this as thinking differently from *them*, most read it as thinking differently from people that disagree with them.^^
You sooo great , nice reaction
closest to the line for me from germany was british football chants... Man United vs. Man City... the Brits have much thicker skin I guess :)
You would like Mario Barth to help in a German Coumadin out Berlin
You're so right. If you can't laugh about yourself, you cannot laugh about anything. Another thing is ridiculing people: If you do that, you're ridiculing yourself, and shame on you. It's so sad that there seem to be no more serious comedians around. I miss Volker Pispers, and I miss, from the early days and from the United States, George Carlin. Those people spoke out the truth in a way that made people laugh and think at the same time. And my once revered "Die Anstalt" from the ZDF and "extra 3" with its presenter Christian Ehring seem to have been streamlined to be easily swallowed by a rather indifferent audience.
Don't get me wrong: I'm not the prophet of doom. The current situation seems like there's no rising star in sight in German comedy, but that has happened before, and I'm sure that German comedy, from the ruins and the rubble, from censorship and genderspeak, will some day rise again and shine brighter than ever before.
(edit: typo corrected)
TV total was great back when Stefan Raab was hosting it. The James Brown episode was fun.
When it comes to stand-up comedy, it's Felix Lobrecht, but the man who shaped comedy and humor in Germany was Goat Stefan Raab.
Regarding minorities we have some great comedians, like Matthias Mester, Tan Caglar or Carl Joseph for example.
One of the most overrated comedians.
Absolutley. And he ist even rated very high. But still defintely overrated.
y? because he lives equality and not only talk about with the finger high in the air...
the fact is, that Chris did more for inclusion and equality then everyone of those who criticise him for that what he is doin' can reach in a lifetime...
I would say, that this performance was great, and also ahead of its time. But Chris is more like a „one hit wonder“. Most of his other performances are not that great 😌
Hi, Dwayne! Do you know what? His name "Chris Tall" sounds exactly like the word "Kristall", what is german for (engl.) "crystal"! So it has to be an artist name...
Yes yes, ja ja, and people with red hair are sometimes called "fire alarm" (in german you say "Feuermelder"), chinese are yellow slittet eyes (gelbe "Schlitzaugen"), fat people are ...whatever, thin people are clothes racks ("Kleiderständer") or rattling racks ("Klappergestelle"), small people are gnomes or dwarves ("Gnome" or "Zwerge") and so on.
Can you in the U.K. still say "gypsy"? (In german it`s "Zigeuner").
Of course I understand why this all can be a bit problematic! But I think, we should not overdo it! I like what Chris Tall said. He said everybody should be able to laugh about himself and should take it with some humor. I once made the experience, that it also can get worse if you take it too serious.
At last we are all brothers and sisters! 😉😊
😂😂😂
You have to react to Something about the original of "TV total" Stefan Raab. He's a Legend in between 2000 and maybe 2014. He participated at Eurovision in 2000 with the Song "Wadde hadde du de da". I prefer the song "Maschendrahtzaun". Please react to some stuff of Stefan Raab. Ich really Like him. :3
He made people look like a fool, esp. people with lower intellgence and low literacy. I did not like that. That is different to what Chris Tall meant.
If you can´t laugh about yourself you don´t have any joy in life. I´m always the first laughing about myself, when I´m laughing everyone knows nothing bad happened and we can have a laugh so they join in instead of being shocked. What´s the point in life when you can´t laugh? Especially we guys, no matter how old we´re some part of us always stais a little, inmature boy that´s just us at least the non-woke-nazi ones.
At that time, Chris-tall was still acceptable, but now I just find his humor monotonous and boring. He also insults his audience, telling people when to applaud. I find that extremely unpleasant and, above all, disrespectful! btw. he looks 13 🙂↕️
I don't think he is funny at all. Cause he says he can laugh and make jokes about himself but he did just do it ones very briefly. If you wanna roast marginalized group as someone who isn't marginalized , you have to roast yourself before you do others. People will than be more okay to laugh at themself.
He is doing a typical thing which is convenient for him by saying it is racist or not including to not make fun or specific groups. But he totally ignores what marginalization is. That's typical behavior of people not facing discrimination or racism daily.
yes exactly
Please react to Serdar Somuncu
Please do not!
Only people with extreme views can't laugh at themselves.
He is one of the unholy trifactor of bad comedy in germany.
Barth and Pocher are the other too you should avoid.
nobody can help you, if you aren't able to understand him...
but just for interest... why?
@@davidzierold8009 they are all idiots.
i agree, those three (but especially barth and pocher) mask disrespect as "jokes"
as a german, i cant stand this guy. the massage may be ok, but the delivery is just bad. maybe i can recommend you another guy, who is much better - much more on point with his delivery, and the message is so hard, sometimes you feed a cold shiver donw your spine - SERDAR SOMUNCU
He is actual one of the greatest comedians in germany, with all rights and points!!!
I've a lot of humor but this guy... puhh. Not my kind of humor
Kollegah-Mondfinsternis pls
The only kind of jokes i really have had enough of is jokes about german behaviour compared to ww2.
Americans do them al the time and it gets boring... Guys. get something new... it´s 80years now ...
Not so funny
Yeah, the only people you .. maaaaybe .. can still make jokes about are 40 year+ white guys .. everything else, hell no .. thats sooo offending.
React: Mario Barth. He is so funny 🇩🇪🇩🇪🇩🇪😂🖤
He is an simple brain asshole, don't react at him.
